高三英语词汇复习方法

如果把英语比作高楼大厦,哪么词汇就是建成这座高楼大厦的一砖一瓦。要想学好英语,就必须学好英语词汇。可是在现实的教学中,词汇往往是一个令学生感到头疼的问题,词汇记忆繁琐枯燥,没有规律可循,学生或是只记住了单词的拼写而无法讲英语与其汉语意思相对应,又或是无法灵活运用词汇。尤其到高三阶段,大量的词汇复习往往让学生无所是从。其实,英语词汇的学习与复习可以妙趣横生,只需要转换一下形式,变换一下方法。

第一,挖空练习法。

挖空练习可以在考察学生单词记忆情况的同时,通过给学生一个语境,使其掌握单词的用法。对于一些考纲重点词汇,可以让学生反复练习。同时还可以选取一些高考真题,帮助学生加深词汇的理解与记忆。

比如:1.The book gives a short ________(描述) of the city.

2.He caught a high _____(发烧). His body temperature was as high as 40.

3. He turned on the television set hanging from the ____(天花板).

4. It is ______(轻微) colder today then it was yesterday.

5._______ speaking(一般说来), parents care more about their children’s health than their own.

第二,词性转换法

运用英语中一些词汇转换的规律,让学生由已知想到未知,加深词汇的记忆。

比如:1.写出下列单词的名词形式

construct---construction disappoint---disappointment

prefer---preference develop---development

argue---argument prevent---prevention

introduce---introduction translate---translation

2.写出下列形容的名词形式。

difficult---difficulty sad---sadness lonely---loneliness

important---importance powerful---power

英语中词汇变换形式很多,在选择变换方式时要注意一定要选择学生数值的单词作为切入口,在学生掌握一定的此行变换的规律基础上进行。

第三,巧编例句一言辨异。

有些单词意义用法比较复杂,可以通过巧编例句,将其放入特定的语境之中,让学生体会其不同的词性,不同的用法。

比如: 1. present

The present president is presenting presents to the people present at the meeting.

这个单词有形容词,名词,动词三种词性,而且当动词用时读音与其他两种词性不同,通过巧编例句,然后让学生反复朗读背诵,很容易就可以掌握这个单词的用法。

2. bear

A polar bear who is going to bear a ba by is standing on the ice but it’s too heavy that the ice can’t bear its weight.

3. tip

I was about to remind my friend to tip the waiter after the meal when he tipped the bottle over.

第四,词汇串串烧。

将一些重点词汇尽可能地编入一个小故事或者小短文里,然后让学生翻译。在翻译的过程中,学生不仅掌握了词汇的用法还提高了英语的综合能力,可谓一举多得。

比如:

他是一个不错的人。2002年他去了澳大利亚。澳大利亚由六个州和两个地区组成,是一个多样化的社会。对于澳大利亚,他是个新来的人。但是他很快交了很多朋友。他们在性格方面很像。他和他的朋友们吃饭的时候总是平摊饭费。澳大利亚英语和他在学校所学的英语在读音词汇方面不一样,他的朋友们就如何学英语给了他很多宝贵的建议。他也很刻苦,全身心的投入到学习当中。03年他打算回国,但是非典的爆发

阻挡了他回家的脚步。

He is a nice fellow. In 2002 he went to Australia which is made up of six states and two territories and is a diverse society. He was a newcomer to Australia, but he made many new friends soon there. They resembled each other in character. They always went Dutch . Australian English differs from what he learnt at school in pronunciation and vocabulary. His friends gave him a lot of valuable advice on how to study English. He worked very hard and devoted himself entirely to study. He planned to return to his motherland in 2003, but the outbreak of SARS prevent him from doing that.

这一个小短文中包括了几个单元的重点词汇和短语,如resemble, differ, entire, outbreak等通过这样的练习,学生很容易就只掌握了词汇的用法。

第五,反复吟唱法。

既然是反复吟唱,就应该是朗朗上口的文章或是冬天那个悦耳的歌曲。在反复吟唱中,学生不知不觉地就记忆了单词的拼写与用发,很轻松,很自然,比从参考书上搬来例句让学生背诵效果不知好多少倍。

比如,复习whatever时,我让学生反复跟唱no matter what这首歌。

no matter where they take us

反复跟唱几遍之后,我进行了简单的讲解,紧接着做了翻译练习,如下:

1. 你喜欢小孩那一个名字,我就小孩那一个名字。

2. 无论我说什么,他都不会听我的。

3. 我说什么他都信。

4. 无论你是谁,都必须遵守规则。

1. I’ll call the bab whatever name you like.

2. Whatever(=No matter what) I said, he wouldn’t listen to me.

3. He would believe whatever I say.

4. Whoever you are (=No matter who you are),you must obey the rules.

然后又做了高考真题巩固练习,如下:
