的用法,以及how long /when …

The unit is called "A Brighter Future" which I thought was a cool and optimistic name.First up, Mr. Wang had us do a warmup activity where we went around the class taking turns making predictions about what the world will be like in 50 years from now. Some of my classmates said really creative things like "Cars will fly and run on air!" and "Robots will do all our homework for us!" I predicted that in 50 years, virtual reality will be incredibly realistic and we'll be able to experience anything we can imagine in theseultra-lifelike simulations. After that, Mr. Wang put us into small groups and gave each group a different future technology or concept to research and make a poster about. My group got "renewable energy" so we had to find information about wind, solar, and other greenenergy sources that could power our world sustainably in the future. The research part was kind of tedious, but putting together the poster was fun because we got to be creative with the layout, images, and captions.Next up was the reading comprehension section from our textbooks. The reading was all about famous inventions throughout history and how they impacted society, like the printing press, light bulb, penicillin, etc. There were some tricky vocabulary words I had to look up like "innovation" and "unprecedented." The comprehension questions after really made us think critically about the ideas in the text. For the grammar focus, we learned about future tenses like "will," "going to," and the present progressive for future planned events. Mr. Wang gave a clear explanation using amusing examples, like "This weekend I am going to sleep for 1000 years!" He had us practice using the tenses by writing our own statements predicting the future. Then we did a really cool listening activity where we had to infer the speakers' attitudes and opinions based on their tone of voice and choice of words when talking about the future of technology. It was challenging but helped me realize how wecommunicate so much through subtle cues beyond just literal meanings. To wrap up the lesson, Mr. Wang showed us a funny video animation portraying an exaggerated, dystopian vision of the future with robots ruling over humans. We had to critique whether we thought this dark prediction could actually happen and back up our viewpoints with evidence and reasoning.Overall, I feel like I have a much better understanding now of how to express future tenses and talk about my predictions for the years ahead. While some of the activities were kind of dry, Mr. Wang made sure to inject fun, engaging multimedia and group work. I'm looking forward to the rest of this unit!Reflection:One aspect of the lesson that was effective for my learning was the warmup prediction activity. By activating our prior knowledge and letting us get creative with our imaginations right off the bat, it primed our brains for the future-oriented content to come. It was an engaging way to ease into the unit's themes. However, one part of the lesson I felt could be improved was the reading comprehension section. While the content aboutfamous inventions was interesting, the text itself was quite dense which made it hard for me to stay focused through all the comprehension questions. Maybe splitting the reading over two days or having us read in shorter sections would be better.A particular strength was how Mr. Wang made sure to incorporate different modes of instruction, including audiovisual media, interactive group work, writing practice, discussions, and lectures. Varying the activities kept me engaged instead of getting bored listening to just a teacher monologue all class. The multi-modal approach catered to different learning styles. If I could change one thing about the lesson, I would suggest allocating more time to the listening comprehension activity analyzing speakers' tones and implications. While challenging, it was an insightful exercise that could apply to many real-world situations beyond just learning English. Devoting an extra 10-15 minutes to do more examples as a class could have solidified those pragmatic skills better. One takeaway I'm proud of from this lesson is my group's informative poster on renewable energy sources. Although the research process was tedious, our final product turned out great and I learned a lot about important future technologies like wind, solar, hydroelectric, and geothermal power. Creating the visual representation really helped cement the content.Moving forward, I hope we get more opportunities to have discussions voicing our own opinions and predictions about what the future may hold. While the unit is called "A Brighter Future," some of my classmates brought up valid concerns about potential negative impacts of technology, which could spark interesting debates looking at multiple perspectives.Overall, despite a few areas for possible improvement, I felt Mr. Wang crafted an engaging, multi-dimensional lesson that made me feel motivated and well-prepared to explore this unit's core topics around talking about the future in English. His creative mix of activities catered to various learning needs and made an otherwise abstract concept cognitively accessible. I'm excited to see what other future-focused skills we'll develop next!篇2Lesson Plan: Unit 3 - Keeping FitClass: 8th GradeDate: October 15, 2023Objectives:Students will be able to discuss the importance of keeping fit and healthy lifestylesStudents will learn vocabulary related to exercise, sports, and nutritionStudents will practice using the present perfect tense to talk about life experiencesWarm-up (5 mins):The teacher will show some pictures of people doing different sports and exercises. Students will discuss what they see in the pictures and share if they have tried any of those activities before.Presentation (15 mins):The teacher will introduce the topic of the lesson - keeping fit and healthy living. They will present a list of new vocabulary words related to the topic on the board, such as:exercise, workout, jog, weightlifting, cycling, nutrition, balanced diet, calorie, protein, carbohydrateThe teacher will model the pronunciation and meanings of each word. Students will repeat after the teacher and discuss any words they are unfamiliar with. The teacher will then explain the use of the present perfect tense to talk about life experiences. They will provide examples such as:"I have played basketball since I was 10 years old.""My friend has never tried rock climbing.""We have gone hiking in the mountains twice this year."The teacher will highlight how the present perfect is formed using "have/has + past participle" and how it is used to talk about experiences up until the present time.Practice (20 mins):In pairs, students will complete a worksheet with exercises to practice using the new vocabulary and the present perfect tense. The exercises may include:Match the vocabulary words with their definitions.Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the present perfect tense.Write sentences about your own experiences using the present perfect tense and the new vocabulary words. After completing the worksheet, a few students will be invited to share their sentences with the class.Production (15 mins):Students will work in small groups to create a poster promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. They will need to include:At least 5 new vocabulary words from the lesson3-5 sentences using the present perfect tense to talk about their own experiences with exercise and healthy eatingEach group will present their poster to the class, explaining their choices and the importance of keeping fit.Wrap-up (5 mins):The teacher will review the key points covered in the lesson, including the new vocabulary words and the use of the present perfect tense. Students will be encouraged to continue practicing the present perfect and incorporating physical activity into their daily routines.Reflection:Overall, I found this lesson on keeping fit and healthy lifestyles to be engaging and informative. The warm-up activity with the pictures was an effective way to introduce the topic and get us thinking about different types of exercise and sports.Learning the new vocabulary words related to exercise, sports, and nutrition was helpful for expanding our English vocabulary in this context. The teacher's clear explanations and examples ensured that we understood the meanings and pronunciations of the words.I particularly enjoyed the practice section where we worked in pairs to complete exercises using the new vocabulary and the present perfect tense. Collaborating with a classmate allowed us to discuss our understanding and help each other out when needed. The exercise of writing our own sentences using the present perfect and sharing them with the class was a great way to reinforce our understanding and practice speaking in front of others. The production activity of creating a poster to promote a healthy and active lifestyle was a creative and engaging way to apply what we had learned in the lesson. Working in groups allowed us to share ideas and collaborate on the design andcontent of the poster. Presenting our posters to the class gave us the opportunity to practice speaking and explaining our choices. One aspect of the lesson that I found challenging was the use of the present perfect tense. While the teacher's explanations and examples were clear, I sometimes struggled with forming the correct tense, especially with irregular verbs. However, with more practice and reinforcement, I believe I will become more comfortable with using the present perfect tense.Overall, this lesson was well-structured, engaging, and provided ample opportunities for practicing the new language skills. The teacher's clear explanations, the variety of activities, and the relevance of the topic to our lives made it an effective and enjoyable learning experience.篇3Unit 3: Cultures and CustomsLesson: Traditional Festivals Around the WorldLesson Objectives:Students will be able to describe key traditions and customs of major festivals from different cultures.Students will compare and contrast similarities and differences between various festival celebrations.Students will practice using the present perfect tense to talk about cultural experiences.Warm-up (10 mins):The teacher will show some pictures and videos of people celebrating different festivals like Chinese New Year, Diwali, Eid al-Fitr etc. We'll discuss what we see in the visuals and share any prior knowledge about these events.Activity 1 - Festival Fact Files (20 mins):We'll be split into small groups and each group will get a different festival to research, like:ChristmasHoliDay of the DeadSongkran Water FestivalUsing the textbooks and online resources, we need to find key information like:Origins and historyWhere it is celebratedImportant traditions/customsSpecial food, clothes, decorations etc. We'll compile the facts onto a poster to present to the class later.Activity 2 - Cultural Experiences (30 mins):Each student will talk to a partner and take turns sharing any experiences they've had celebrating various cultural festivals, using the present perfect tense.Example:"I've celebrated Diwali many times by lighting diyas and eating Indian sweets.""Have you ever worn a qipao for Chinese New Year?"The teacher will model some examples first, then we'll practice asking and answering questions with our partners.Presentation (20 mins):The groups will take turns presenting their festival fact file posters to the class. Other students can ask follow-up questionsabout any traditions they find interesting or want to learn more about.Wrap-up (10 mins):The teacher will summarize some of the key similarities and differences we noticed between the various festival celebrations from diverse cultures around the world. We'll discuss how learning about different cultures can promote understanding and appreciation.Homework:Write a paragraph describing your favorite cultural festival, using the present perfect tense to share any personal experiences you've had.Reflection:I found this lesson really fascinating as it allowed me to learn about so many vibrant cultural traditions from around the globe. Researching the different festivals in groups was an engaging way to learn, and I enjoyed the teamwork aspect of compiling all the key facts together. Presenting our findings to the class was a bit nerve-wracking initially, but it helped build my confidence in public speaking. The matching activity where we shared personal experiences celebrating cultural festivals was definitely a highlight. It was so interesting to hear about my classmates' diverse backgrounds and the meaningful traditions they've participated in. Using the present perfect tense in this contextualized way made the grammar point stick much better compared to just doing rote practice from a textbook. One area for improvement could have been giving us students a bit more structure or guideline questions to follow when researching the festival facts initially. A few groups got slightly off-track or missed some key details in their presentations. Having a template may have streamlined this part.Overall however, I came out of this lesson with a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural diversity that exists globally. Learning about different perspectives in an open and respectful way is so important for connecting across cultures. I'm grateful we had this opportunity to celebrate our uniquenesses while also finding commonalities in the shared human experience of festivity and joy. An engaging and rewarding lesson!。

1Title: My English Lesson DesignHello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about my English lesson design for the 8th grade textbook. We had so much fun in class, and I can't wait to share it with you.First, we started the lesson with a quick review of the previous lesson. We played a game of "Simon Says" to review vocabulary and grammar structures. It was so exciting and everyone was engaged in the game.Next, we moved on to the new lesson about describing people. I introduced the new vocabulary words and had the students repeat after me. Then, we played a game of charades where students had to act out a vocabulary word and the others had to guess what it was. It was hilarious to see everyone trying to act out the words! After that, we worked on a group activity where students had to describe a famous person to their group using the newvocabulary words. They had to be creative and use adjectives to make their descriptions interesting. It was amazing to see how well they were able to describe the people using the new vocabulary. To wrap up the lesson, we did a quick quiz to test their understanding of the new material. The students were so excited to show what they had learned, and they all did a great job.In reflection, I think the lesson went really well. The students were engaged and enthusiastic throughout the lesson. The games and group activities helped to reinforce the new vocabulary and grammar structures in a fun and interactive way. I will definitely use these methods in future lessons to keep the students engaged and excited about learning English.I hope you enjoyed hearing about my English lesson design. Thank you for listening!篇2Hey guys! Today I want to share with you my English teaching plan for the eighth grade, based on the People's Education Edition textbook.First, let's start with the warm-up activity. I like to begin my lessons with a short game or a fun activity to get everyone excited and engaged. For this lesson, we could play a quick round of charades to review vocabulary words from the previous lesson. It's a great way to get everyone thinking and using the language right from the start.Next, I would introduce the new lesson by using a variety of multimedia resources. I might show a short video clip, play a song, or use pictures to introduce the new vocabulary and grammar points. This helps students visualize the concepts and makes the lesson more interactive and engaging. After the introduction, we would work on practicing the new vocabulary and grammar points through a series of activities. I like to mix it up and do a variety of activities such as pair work, group work, and games to keep things interesting. For example, we could do a role play activity where students practice using the new vocabulary in a real-life scenario. Finally, we would end the lesson with a wrap-up activity and a short reflection. I like to ask students to share what they learned and what they found challenging during the lesson. This helps me assess their understanding and provides valuable feedback for future lessons.Overall, I think it's important to keep lessons fun and interactive to keep students engaged and motivated to learn. By incorporating a variety of activities and resources, we can create a dynamic and effective learning environment for our students.I hope this lesson plan gives you some ideas for your own English lessons. Remember to always have fun and be creative in your teaching!篇3Title: My English Lesson PlanHello everyone, I’m so excited to share my English lesson plan with you today. We are learning about Unit 1 in our People’s Education Press Eighth Grade English textbook, and I have some fun activities to help us practice our English skills.First, we will start with a warm-up activity to get our brains ready for learning. We will play a quick game of Word Bingo, where I will call out words and you will mark them on your bingo card. This will help us review vocabulary from the unit and get us thinking in English.Next, we will move on to a listening activity. I will play a short audio clip of a conversation between two people, and you willlisten carefully and answer some questions about what you heard. This will help us practice our listening skills and improve our comprehension. After that, we will do a speaking activity where we will work in pairs to practice our conversation skills. I will give each pair a scenario to act out, and you will have to come up with a conversation using the vocabulary and grammar we have learned in the unit. This will help us practice speaking in English and improve our communication skills. Finally, we will finish the lesson with a writing activity. I will give you a prompt and you will have to write a short paragraph using the vocabulary and grammar from the unit. This will help us practice our writing skills and improve our ability to express ourselves in English.Overall, I hope this lesson plan will help us all improve our English skills and have fun while learning. Thank you for participating and I look forward to seeing your progress in our next lesson.Reflection:Looking back on today’s lesson, I think the activities went well and the students were engaged and participated actively. The Word Bingo game was a good way to review vocabulary, but I could have provided more challenging words for the students who are more advanced. The listening activity was effective in improving comprehension skills, but I should have included more questions to deepen understanding. The speaking activity was successful in practicing conversation skills, but I could have given clearer instructions for the scenarios. The writing activity was beneficial for practicing writing skills, but I should have given more time for students to complete their paragraphs. Overall, I am pleased with how the lesson went and I will make adjustments for the next time to ensure even better results.篇4Title: Fun English Class Design ()Hi everyone! It was super fun and I learned a lot, so let me share it with you!First off, my teacher started the lesson by reviewing some vocabulary from the previous unit. We played a game where we matched words with their definitions, and it was a blast. I could really feel my brain working hard to remember all the words.Next, we moved on to the new unit which was all about different ways to talk about preferences. We learned about phrases like “I’d rather” and “I prefer” and practiced usingthem in sentences. It was cool because we got to talk about our own preferences and find out what our classmates liked. After that, we did a reading activity where we read a short passage about a teenager who has to make a tough decision. We had to answer questions about the passage and discuss what we would do in the same situation. It was a great way to practice our reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. To finish off the lesson, we did a group activity where we had to create a dialogue using the new vocabulary and phrases we learned. My group decided to write a dialogue about going to a restaurant and ordering food. It was so fun to act out our dialogue in front of the class and show off what we had learned.Overall, I really enjoyed my English lesson and I feel like I learned a lot. I can’t wait to use all the new phrases and vocabulary in my everyday conversations. English is so much fun when you have a great teacher and awesome classmates to learn with!Reflection:Looking back on this lesson, I think my teacher did a fantastic job of engaging us with interactive activities and making the learning experience enjoyable. I loved how we got topractice speaking, reading, and writing all in one lesson. It really helped me feel more confident in using English. One thing I would suggest for improvement is maybe having more group activities throughout the lesson. I feel like working with my classmates helped me understand the material better and made the lesson more dynamic.Overall, I’m super grateful for my English teacher and all the effort they put into making our lessons fun and educational. I can’t wait to keep learning and improving my E nglish skills!篇6Today, teacher told us to do a English teaching design, and I wanna share it with you!The lesson is from the eighth grade textbook, it's about describing people's physical appearance. Teacher said we need to make the class interesting and interactive, so I have some cool ideas!First, I will start the class with a fun warm-up game. I will show some pictures of celebrities and ask the students to describe their appearance. We can have a little competition tosee who can come up with the most creative descriptions. I think it will get everyone excited and ready to learn!Next, I will introduce the new vocabulary words by using flashcards and body gestures. I will ask the students to repeat the words after me and then practice using them in sentences. I think this will help them remember the words better. After that, we will play a game called "Who Am I?". I will give each student a card with a description of a person on it, and they have to guess who it is based on the clues. It will be a fun way to practice the new vocabulary and also get the students thinking creatively. Finally, we will end the class with a group activity where students have to work together to create a description of a famous person. They will have to use the vocabulary words we learned in class and present their descriptions to the rest of the class. It will be a great way to practice speaking and listening skills.Overall, I think this lesson plan is gonna be super fun and engaging for the students. I can't wait to see how it goes! Thank you for reading my English teaching design, I hope you liked it!。
