作为一名小学英语老师,我们怎样改变这种沉闷的局面,使英语教学变得更加有效呢?我在课余时间认真学习了《小学英语教学的有效性研究》一书,有很大收获。

首先我知道了有效教学的含义:有效的教学是用最小的人力、物力和时间达到预期的教学目标。

也就是要消耗少,收效高。

所谓的“收效”是指经过教师一段时间的教学后,学生所获得的具体的进步或发展。

其次这本书中讲到的提高有效教学的途径,对我今后的教学有很大帮助。

1、激发学生英语学习兴趣。

鲁迅先生说过:没有兴趣的学习无异于一种苦役。

没有兴趣的地方,就没有智慧和灵感。

兴趣是最好的教师,是最基础的学习动力的源泉。

因此教刚接触英语的儿童时,首先要培养他们的兴趣,以各种游戏和其他生动活泼的方式让他们在兴趣盎然的活动中学习英语。

教学中要把握“玩中有学,学中有玩”的原则,依据不同的教学内容为孩子们设计不同的游戏、活动、任务等,使孩子们在不知不觉的过程中轻轻松松学会了语言。

2、在课堂中采用创设情景的教学方式。

通过创设情景,能使学生仿如身临其境,触景生情,较快进入英语角色,并乐意参与语言的各种实践。

在实践中加深理解,熟悉运用和牢固掌握所学过的知识,达到了缓解知识点掌握的难度,让学生感觉到易学而不怕学、甚至中意学的效果。

实践也证明,“情景教学法”能给教师的“教”与学生的“学”带来良好的效应。

它从根本上提高了英语教学效果。

最大程度地培养了学生的英语学习兴趣,能够让教师教得舒心,学生学得轻松。

3、培养学生的听、说能力。

人们在学习语言时大致上要经过如下几个过程,即听音、辩音、观察、模仿、练习、运用。

if we look closely at the way that the houyhnhnms act, we can see that in fact swift does not take them seriously: he uses them to show the dangers of pride.first we have to see that swift does not even take gullver seriously. for instance, his name sounds much like gullible, which suggests that he will believe anything. also, when he first sees the yahoos and they throw excrement on him, he responds by doing the same in return until they run away. he says, "i must needs discover some more rational being," even though as a human he is already the most rational being there is. this is why swift refers to erasmus darwins discovery of the origin of the species and the voyage of the beagle-to show how gulliver knows that people are at the top of the food chain. but if lemule gulliver is satirized, so are the houyhnhnms, whose voices sound like the call of castrati. they walk on two legs instead of four, and seem to be much like people. as gulliver says, "it was with the utmost astonishment that i witnessed these creatures playing the flute and dancing a vienese waltz. to my mind, they seemed like the greatest humans ever seen in court, even more dextrous than the lord edmund burke" . as this quote demonstrates, gulliver is terribly impressed, but his admiration for the houyhnhnms is short-lived because they are so prideful. for instance, the leader of the houyhnhnms claims that he has read all the works of charles dickens, and that he can singlehandedly recite the names of all the kings and queens of england up to george ii. swift subtly shows that this houyhnhnms pride is misplaced when, in the middle of the intellectual competition, he forgets the name of queen elizabeths husband.swifts satire of the houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well. one of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that guenivre has brought with him to the island. first she acts flirtatiously, parading around the bewildered horse. but when this does not have the desired effect, she gets another idea: "as i watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree, the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back who was yet more monstrous than mr. pope being fitted by a clothier. she dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice. my horse sniffed the creature and turned away." it might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship, and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover. but it makes more sense if we see that swift is being satiric here: it is the femalehouyhnhnm who makes the move, which would not have happened in eighteenth-century england. the houyhnhm is being prideful, and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress gullivers horse. gulliver imagines the horse saying, sblood, the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal who had held mr. pope on her back makes me queezy .a final indication that the houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the houynhms visits lilliput, where he visits the french royal society. he goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at gallilee). the scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success, when the houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: "the creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucketthat sat near the door" .。

《英语课程标准》指出:学生的发展是英语课程的出发点和归宿。

英语课程在目标设定、教学过程、课程评价和教学资源的开发等方面都要突出以学生为主体的思想。

笔者认为,树立对话意识,运用新课程理念备好课是基础和前提。

一、与教材对话:源于教材,高于教材
每一套教材都代表着某一种教学理念和实践方法,教师在使用一套新教材之时,应站在编者的角度钻研全套教材,努力理解和领会教材编写者的教学思想和设计精神,把握教材的特点,使之在我们的教学中得以充分体现。

与教材对话,首先要尊重教材,读透教材;与教材对话,更要超越教材,走向生活。

我们不妨尝试一课三案:钻研教材,独
立思考,形成初案;博采众长,融会贯通,写出教案;课后反思,精益求精,补充另案。

江苏版的《牛津小学英语》教材按照话题功能结构的体例编写,在备课时,我们可着力于话题生活化,功能结构协调化。

在初案中,我们应该重点研读教材,明确教学语言与语境语言,把握关键语句与困难语句;在教案形成阶段,我们应分析语用因素,结合师情学情,选择设计各环节活动:课后,结合教学实际再回头看自己的教材解读,及时补充另案必不可少。

另案中,可以反思一节课对教材处理的成功之举、败笔之处、学生感受,当然,对教材的再教设计是最终目的。

我们对教材的研读应该追求从有它无我到有它有我,最后达到有我无它的洒脱境界。

二、与学生对话:关注学情,真心真意
学生是学习的主人,我们的教应该为学生的学服务。

在备课时,教师还应
该时时在心中与学生对话,在与学生充分对话的基础上进行的备课活动才能真正体现学生的学习主体地位。

你对这个话题了解了多少?牛津小学英语每一个单元都有一个话题。

在我们设计新单元的教学时,这个问题可以提示我们尊重学生的已有经验,关注学生的学习基础,在学生已知已会的基础之上设计教学内容,把属于学生的时间还给学生。

通过这节课你将学到什么?你是怎么学的?还可以学得更好吗?新课程呼唤我们的教学从知识本位回归到三维目标。

这一连串问题指向的就是一节课中知识与技能、方法与过程、情感态度与价值观的目标达成。

长期以来,我们的英语教学一直比较关注学生对英语知识的掌握情况,忽略了学生学习过程中的感受及体验。

其实,真正的有效教学就是要让学生从浅层次的学会上升到会学与乐学,这样的学习才会让学生的终身学习获益。

在备课过程中,我们还要结合教材内容。

预设大量的与学生的对话。

在这个过程中,我们要注意与学生的对话交流必须付出真心真情。

教师真心真意对待学生,才能让孩子们之间真心真意,课堂才会真实。

这些年的英语教学实践证明,我们已经从期待表演的、热闹的、师生对答如流的课堂转变为期待真实的课堂和真实的交流。

真实的教学问题、自然的教学过程、和谐的教学氛围才能最大程度地促进学生综合语言运用能力的形成。

三、与自己对话:勤于反思,勇于实践
作为教师,我们是否有勇气常常与自己对话,反思自己教学实践过程中的不足并及时加以弥补呢?叶澜先生曾经说过:一个教师写一辈子教案不一定成为名师,如果一个教师写三年反思可能成为名师。

在备课及上课的过程中我们是不是可以常常问自己三个问题:这节课应
该怎么上?在分析教材,研透学情的基础上知其然;这节课为什么要这样上?站在英语教学理论的高度分析教材教法,知其所以然方能掌握规律,举一反三;这节课还可以怎么上?教学是一门遗憾的艺术,加强反思,及时提升。

知其未尽然才能将遗憾变为自我发展的动力。

有位英语教学专家曾总结过小学英语课堂教学的主要特征:语言是有声的,所以课堂教学是听和说的体验:语言是有形的,所以课堂教学是读和写的体验;语言是有情的,所以课堂教学是情感交流的体验。

我们在备课时亦可结合自己每一节课的教学设计自问:我们的课堂有声、有形、有情吗?我们的学生有思、有感、有收获吗?
在小学英语教学中,教师的语言、教师的教育理念、备课设计都对学生的兴趣、动机和认识水平产生直接的影响。

教学要努力实现以学生为主体,给予学生选择的机会、创造的机会,发挥学生的自主性和能动性,首先就要从备课人
手,通过备课过程中的三对话落实新课程理念,切实提高备课质量。
