as long as= the same length as一样长；as wide as= the same width as一样

as expensive as=the same price as一样贵（价钱）

as fast as=the same speed as 一样快（速度）

Tom is as tall as me. = Tom is the same height as me.

Mary is as old as John.== Mary is the same age as John

Tom’s English is as good as mine=Tom speaks English as well as I.

注意：as long as 只要; 如果as soon as一…就… ; as well as并且/也/和

as good as几乎, 实际上A miss is as good as a mile;失之毫厘，谬以千里

Without her glasses, she was as good as blind. 不戴眼镜, 她简直和瞎子一样。

Henry ran as fast as possible=as fast as he could

Write to me as soon as possible =as early as you can

You should read as much English as possible== as much English as you can.

Betty eats as little fried food as possible.

1)比较级前，加强语气，表示程度，“比…更；还要”

This dictionary is even more useful than that one.

2)用在所要强调的词、短语或从句，加强语气，“即使，甚至连…都”

Even a child can understand this book.

I have explained everything, but even now she doesn’t understand.

I even forget what my mother said.

He was afraid to go out, even for food.
