We'll build forts and camp out under them, telling scary stories and seeing who can stay awake the latest. I'malso going to visit the community pool as much as possible with my friends. We'll have epic swimming competitions to see who is the fastest swimmer and who can hold their breath underwater the longest. We'll play laughing games and chicken fights too. I just know those pools days with my best buds are going to be the highlight of my summer.My friends and I are also going to put on our own backyard camp for a week or two. We'll pitch tents in one of our backyards and spend day and night pretending we're off on a grand camping adventure. We'll roast s'mores and hot dogs over the fire pit and tell spooky ghost stories at night. During the day, we'll go on make-believe quests and hikes through the woods behind our houses. We'll build campfires using know-how we've learned and will cook our own meals over them. Backyard camping with my friends is guaranteed to be an absolute blast!Of course, I'm also going to spend a good chunk of my summer playing video games and watching shows. I've been waiting all school year to binge-watch some of my favorite shows without interruption. I'll finally be able to complete games and video series that I've had on hold. My thumbs will probably get a work out from all the gaming! I'm also planning to read a bunch of books from my favorite book series. I can't wait to getlost in fictional worlds of adventure and fantasy with no school tasks to distract me. Reading and relaxing to my heart's content sounds heavenly.Towards the end of the break, I'm going to spend a week or two at summer camp as well. Summer camp is always one of the most exciting parts of my summer. I'll get to make new friends from all over, learn cool outdoor survival skills, and participate in wacky camp traditions. We'll sing goofy camp songs around the campfire and prank the counselors whenever we can. I'm especially looking forward to the ropes courses, zip lining, canoeing and archery at camp. Those activities are my favorite! I'm sure more amazing memories will be made.In between all my fun summer plans, I'm also going to make sure I spend plenty of quality time with family and relatives. We'll go on day trips to museums, zoos, aquariums and amusement parks together. I'll also attend family barbecues and birthday parties. Spending that extra time with the people I love most is really important. Those are the times I'll cherish most when I look back on this summer.As you can see, my summer vacation is going to be absolutely jam-packed with fun! Between the family road trip, friend sleepovers, backyard camping, summer camp, and all theother adventures, I'm sure it's going to fly by. Part of me will be sad when it's over and school starts again, but then I'll get to start looking forward to my winter break plans!
