Lesson491.Tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved up for years to buy a real bed.
As he was tired of…。
I want to get married in one or two years, so I'm trying to save(some money)up.
(3)to在这里用于表示目的,相当于in order to:I got up early to have a swim.
2.…he carried the bed on to the roof of his house.……
它用于表示动作方向而不用于表示静态的位置(与into相似):I put the pen onto/ on the table.
The pen is on the table.
(不可用onto/ on to)onto/ on to有时可用on代替,但表示位置的on不可用onto代替:Mr. Thompson jumped onto the stage.
Mr. Thompson jumped on the stage.
3.A gust of wind swept the bed off the roof… A gust(of wind) blew my hat off.

At the moment ,they cover every inch of floor space and I actually have to walk on them to get in or out of the room. A short while ago my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases up the stairs. She went into my room and got a big surprise when she saw all those books on the floor. 'This is the prettiest carpet I have ever seen ,' she said. She gazed at it for some time thenadded ,'You don't need bookcases at all. You can sit here in your spare time and read the carpet!'【课文翻译】我们刚刚搬进一所新房子,我辛辛苦苦地干了整整一个上午。
