My First Christmas Party in America
Last week, I got an invitation from one of my professors to a Christmas Eve dinner at his house. It was the first time I attended a Christmas party in America. I got up very early on Christmas Eve, and started worrying about the food I should bring to the dinner. I was not good at cooking American food. Then I decided to make Chinese pork rib soup. While I was waiting for the soup to be ready, I had a gift wrapped. When everything was ready I left for the professor’s house. When I arrived, many students and teachers of our school were already there. I placed my gift on the table which was crowded with many nicely wrapped gifts and walked around to exchange greetings with them. Dinner started soon. I found my Chinese soup was waiting on the table with the American food, like mashed potatoes and turkey.
