基于人工神经网络的人脸识别方法研究
Abstract
Automatic face recognition from images has generated much research interest nowadays, especially the problem based on only one-front view facial image in the database. Some detailed researches have been taken on facial feature extraction and recognition about the problem of face recognition. A summary of previous works in this region is given first. Then this paper presents a novel method of feature extraction based on the KL algorithm with a good result in computation efficiency and computation cost. It also proposes a face recognition algorithm based on wavelet neural network which is the combination of wavelet theory and neural network and whose application to face recognition results in effectiveness and correctness. An improvement is developed on step adaptation of wavelet neural network, which effectively accelerates the convergence rate of neural network. 摘要
用计算机进行人脸识别是当今的一个研究热点和难点，尤其是已知样本集中 每个人只有一个样本的情况。本论文围绕人脸识别问题对人脸特征提取及识别技 术进行了研究。主要有：对人脸识别的研究工作进行了综述；在 KL 算法的基础上 提出了新的基于 KL 的特征提取方法，克服了 KL 算法计算量大，计算时间长的缺 点，实验结果表明该算法具有较好的效果；提出了基于小波神经网络的人脸识别 算法，该算法将小波变换理论与人工神经网络的思想相结合，并将其应用于人脸 识别，该方法的有效性及正确性受到了实验的验证；提出了小波神经网络步长调 整的新算法，该算法加速了网络的收敛速度。 关键词：人脸识别，特征提取，神经网络，小波分析，模式识别
