在进行观点的拓展的时候,利用for example, for instance, I remember that..
Describe a film that you dislikedYou should say:What the name of it wasWhere you watched itWhy you chose to watch itAnd explain why you disliked itOk right then, well after thinking for a bit just now, the filmI've decided to talk about is called Angels and Demons, which was adapted from the novel by Dan Brown. And I watched it at home on my laptop a few months ago, cos I downloaded it off the Internet, which is what most people do here in China when they wanna watch a film.Anyway, as to the reason why I chose to watch it, well it was simply because I had already read the book, which I really enjoyed, and so I was quite curious to know what the film would be like. But I’m afraid to say that it was no way near as good as the book. You know, I just couldn’t get into it, and I almost turned it off half way through. In hindsight, I probably should have done! Because I mean, first of all, the acting was pretty dreadful, which was surprising seeing as there were quite a few big names in the cast. Andin terms of the storyline, I kind of just felt that it left out too many details from the book. So as a result, you know, it just wasn’t very captivating, and I didn’t really feel any suspense, even though it was meant to be a thriller. So yeah, all in all, I was pretty disappointed with the film, and I definitely won’t be watching it again!Phrases:The film was adapted from the novel - 电影是由小说改编的It was no way near as good as the book –远远没有书好看Get into it –投入其中In hindsight - 有了事后的认识;后见之明Dreadful –awful (really bad!)Seeing as –鉴于Big name = big star 明星Cast –(戏剧、电影的) 全体演员The cast of a play or film is all the people who act in it.Storyline = plot 故事情节Captivating –有吸引力的Suspense -悬念Thriller -惊悚片All in all –总而言之Other useful phrases:I didn’t find it funny at allIt was too slow-movingThe film went on too longNothing seemed to happen throughout the whole filmIt was non-stop violenceThe special effects were terribleThe storyline wasn’t very realisticIt was a bit too predictable更多口语话题模板请进入:/newsList.aspx?id=112。

Describe your favorite movie.Well, my all time favorite movie has got to be "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. I'm just crazy about it!First of all, the story is mind blowing. It's set in this epic fantasy world, Middle earth. There are hobbits, which are these small, cute looking creatures with big furry feet. And they're on this huge adventure todestroy the One Ring. Frodo, the main hobbit, is just so brave considering he's so tiny compared to all the big, scary enemies like the orcs and the Nazgûl. I mean, can you imagine being a little hobbit and having to carry this super powerful and evil ring all the way to Mount Doom? It's like alittle mouse trying to take down an elephant. The characters in the movie are also amazing. Aragorn is the coolest. He's a ranger, all rugged and handsome, and he's got this noble air about him. He's a great leader and you can really see his character develop throughout the story. And then there's Gandalf, the wizard. He's like the wise old grandpa of the group, but he can also kick some serious butt when he needs to. His magic and his long white beard make him look super mysterious. The special effects in "The Lord of the Rings" are out of this world. The battles, like the one at Helm's Deep, are just jaw dropping. You cansee all these different creatures fighting, the huge elephants like Mumakil, and the elves shooting their arrows so gracefully. And the landscapes! New Zealand, where they filmed it, looks like a magical land. The mountains, the forests, and the rivers all add to the feeling that you're really in Middle earth.I've watched this movie so many times that I can almost recite some of the lines. Every time I watch it, I feel like I'm going on this grand adventure with the characters. It's not just a movie; it's like a whole new world that I can escape to whenever I want. And that's why it's my favorite movie.。

Describe a foreign film that you likeYou should sayWhat it isWhen you watched it for the first timeWhat plots impressed you mostAnd explain why you love this film.范文:F Scott Fitzgerald's classic, complex novella of bad timing and lost love in the Jazz Age, The Great Gatsby has been brought once again to the cinema, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the enigmatic young Gatsby himself. I saw it on TV one year ago.It follows the life and times of millionaire Jay Gatsby and his neighbour Nick, who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties. The plo t is Gatsby’s funeral. Nick invites Daisy to Gatsby's funeral, only to learn that she, Tom, and their daughter are leaving New York. The funeral is attended only by reporters and photographers, whom Nick angrily chases out. Nick realizes that he is the only person who actually cared about Gatsby. Disgusted with both the city and its people, he leaves New York, but not before taking a final walk through Gatsby's deserted mansion; reflecting on Gatsby's unique ability to hope, and how he lost everything. Back in the sanatorium, Nick finishes his memoir and titles it "Gatsby," then takes out a pen to re-title it, "The GreatGatsby."Its style fascinates. It creates vivid 1920s backdrops behind all this: faintly preposterous and yet undeniably lively: all-singing, all-dancing, and Jay-Z's music is audacious and exhilarating. There is colourised black-and-white footage and depthless digital panoramas of New York; there are hyper-real street scenes through which Gatsby roars in his sports car. And of course there are plenty of those headache-inducing camera zooms. Part 2Describe a foreign film that you recently enjoyed watching.Part 3Film-watching Preferences in Your CountryThe Film Industry范文:My friend and I got a blast last month when we saw the 3-D Max movie called Transformers: Dark of the Moon which is an American science fiction-action film directed by Michael Bay. In this cast, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro reprised their roles but English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Megan Fox as the lead female character. The film's story structure revolves around a genuine NASA manned mission to the Moon. Three years after the events of the second film and 42 years after the Apollo 11 space race, the Autobots continue to work for the NEST military force. Meanwhile, the Decepticons unveil a plan to use the new groundbreaking technology, the Pillars, to enslave Humanity in order to save the home planet of the Transformers, Cybertron.First of all, I don't think the image of a truck transforming into a twenty-foot tall robot has never captured on screen, butnow it became true, and I think a bunch of people are rocked because of this. Moreover, the film is marvelous with its spectacular visual effect and 3-D action sequences. Those special effects are the best 3-D experience since Avatar in my perspective. Describe your favorite movieYou should say:what is that moviewhen and where you sawwhat is this movie aboutand explain why you like this movieSample answer:My favorite movie is Zootopia , which is a 3D animated cartoon produced by Walt Disney pictures. I watched it with my best friend in the cinema in March this year when it was on show in China. It is a story about that in a city where all animals live in harmony , the rabbit Judy became a policewoman through her own efforts, realizing her dream in childhood. The reason that I like this movie is that the Bonnie Judy tried her best to become a cop even if everyone thought it was ridiculous and impossible. Miss Judy, however, finally made it brilliantly and perfectly. The way that she became a cop went through ups and downs (经历人生起起伏伏), she also almost gave up in the duration. But her friend Mr.Fox pulled her through (渡过难关) I feel that when someone is suffering his or her tough time,it is really important he or she could be supported by their friends or families who just like life savers at that time. Moreover,I was deeply moved by the theme song named Try Everything, which is really positive and awesome and it can cheer me up Vhen I cometo a standstill (停滞不前) or in a trouble. "I won't give up no I won't give in. Till I reach the end and then I'll start again. No I won't leave I wanna try everything I wanna try even though I could fail".The lyrics encourage me to be more brave and confident when facing difficulties. So that is my favorite movie, which is determined to fulfill my aspirations, extremely impressive and touching. Describea foreign film you enjoyedlWhat the film was aboutlWhothe actors werelWhereand when you saw itlAndexplain why you enjoyed this film范文:lWell, when talking about a foreign movie I enjoyed most, it actually reminds me of areally spectacular movie called Forrest Gump. In fact, it was like an Americanhistory fairy tale. I was quite attracted by the plot and it gave me a deepimpression. In terms of the content of the movie, it was about the life of a stupid personnamed Forrest Gump, you know, from physical disability to football star, fromVietnam hero to shrimp tycoon, from White house honors to the arms of his onetrue love, Jenny.Forrest Gump went through a remarkably successful andadventurous life in the most important historical events in ctually, the main actor of the movie was called Tom Hanks who was an awesome movie starin America. I think he was really good at acting and he performed so well inthe movie. Honestly speaking, he is my role model and I have learned a lot fromhim, especially his spirit of persistence, I mean, I was inspired andinfluenced by the role he played in the sfar as I canremember, I watched this movie many years ago, probably when I wasa teenager. And I watched it online with my laptop. You know, I used to watchmovies online but this movie could stand out in my memory. Actually, I haveever watched it for many times until now, you know, it is a classic movie thatis deserved to be watched over and over again. I have to say I would have got adifferent feeling every time I watched it.lAsfor the reason why I was so keen on the movie, I guess the main reason was thatI was impressed by the plot and the main actor, Tom Hank. As well as this, themovie made me think, you know, think about my own life, I mean, I am so intosome movies that can inspire me. And this is the best one I have ever watched.I guess that’s pretty much about my talk, thank you.。

It was released in 1943 and the story was adopted from a stage-play named 'Everybody comes to Ricks'. The movie starred Humphery Bogart & Ingrid Bergman and was made in USA. It was a romantic drama film and the story-line was set during the World War II.It focuses on a man torn between love & virtue. In 1941 American expatriot Rick who professed to be neutral by all means met his former lover Ilsa in his nightclub & gambling den. She was accompanied by her husband, Laszlo, a renowned fugitive Czech Resistance Leader. They needed a letter to escape to America, where he can continue his work against Nazis. German Major came to Casablanca to see that Laszlo does not succeed. One night Ilsa confronted Rich in the deserted cafe and asked for the letter. She threatened him with a gun for the letter and later on confessed that she still loves him. Rick's bitterness dissolved learning that IIsa was married to Laszlobefore even their relationship began. When Rick and IIsa planned to flew together, she could not do so because all of a sudden she found that her husband was still alive and needed her badly to recover. But finally Rick let IIsa and Laszlo fly to America which surprised IIsa very much.In 1989, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry a being deemed 'Culturally', 'Historically' and 'Aesthetically' significant. However, occasionally there is a film that I feel I must watch on the big screen, the most recent of which was Transformers 4: Age of Extinction. It’s the newest film in the Transformers franchise, which is based on old toys that were made in the ‘80s. They tell the story of massive robots that can transform into different machines, like tanks or fire trucks, and fight battles on Earth. In this instalment, evil robots that look like dinosaurs, called Dinobots, battle it out against the good robots, called Autobots. The film was released in the summer of 20XX, the time of the year when a lot of big blockbusters are brought out becauseit’s the school holidays, so they can make more money. I chose to watch the film in a 3D IMAX cinema. Nothing beats the experience of seeing a big budget movie on a huge screen, with the characters popping out at you. The sound system at the cinema is also amazing, with surround sound making you feel like you’re in the centre of the action.Although the story wasn’t all that great, I loved the action sequences and the special effects. Some of the film was also shot in China and the Chinese actress Li BingBing made an appearance, so even though it was a Hollywood movie, I could relate to it more easily. Describe your favorite movieYou should say :when and where you saw itwhat type of film it waswhat the film was aboutand explain why it is your favorite film参考范文:My favorite movie is Zootopia(疯狂动物城) ,which is a 3D animated cartoon produced by Walt Disney pictures.
A film you like/dislike。
A film you like/dislikeA film you dislike背景信息The most recent disappointing movie would be The Monuments Men, an action drama based on the true story in history. It’s a World War II drama about an unlikely team consisting of seven art historians tasked with rescuing artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves. The film is directed by George Clooney and starting the first-class actors including Matt Damon. However, it isn't impressive at all. There is a lot of switching back and forth between the teams but too little time is spent to any of them for the characters to grow and the story to cohere. In many cases, I didn't know the characters' names. It's a bad sign when the film doesn't draw you in sufficiently and stars like George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Cate Blanchett are all disappeared into their characters. There's simply too much going on to cram into two hours and the end result is a feeling that the movie needs another two hours to make sense. However, the story told by The Monuments Men is worth telling. The movie does a good job of illustrating why protecting art from the Nazi monsters was important. It does not only effectively capture the look of wartime Europe, but also reflectsthe feel of some of the war films made during the 1960s and 1970s. The most stirring moment is provided by Bill Murray. While taking a shower, he hears the voice of his daughter singing a Christmas carol/song. It's a lovely, moving scene - the kind of thing The Monuments Men needs more of. Frankly speaking,(to be frank)In my opinionIn my point of viewAs far as I am corcerned,…..As for me……Attitude towards it varies a lot,I think….To be honestActually..To tell the truth….I agree with ….I side with those people who……I think(don’t)think…It depends, different people have different …..Yes I think so.(no,I don’t think so)……..Of course,……Absolutely…….Exactly!Oh.it is difficult.for me to make a choice(tell the diffrences),you know……(on one hand…….on the other hand…….) Q 244075379Describe a TV program that you like to watchDescribe an interesting radio program you likeDescribe something (a TV or program or a film ) that made you laugh a lotDescribe something (a TV or a program or a film) that made you laugh a lotYou should say:What is wasWhen it happenedWho was with youAnd explain why you laughed / why you still remember thisOk, well something that really made me laugh a lot is an (imitating) program that I watched on the Internet, which was of a guy doing various different English accents.Regarding when it happened, well it was basically just one of my friends who first told me about it a few weeks ago. And he was so insistent that I watch it that he emailed me a link , which I watched as soon as I received his email. And I pretty much enjoyed it alone. Then, moving on to why I laughed, primarily because it sounded so similar to how people of different countries speak English. one he did was of an American guy speaking Chinese, and another one was a French guy speaking English, which was absolutely hilarious, especially when it comes to Chinese ones, which was Believe it or not, I was laughing so much that my sides were beginning to hurt. Thankfully no one else was around when I watched it, otherwise I’m sure they would have looked at me in a very strange way!Describe a useful website that you like to visitYou should say:What the contents of this websites areHow you first found this websiteHow often you go to visit this websiteAnd explain how this website helps youWell ,so far the most useful website for me is an English learning website, which is called BBC learning English. Basically, I visit it everyday coz it provides nearly everything about English that I want to learn, such as grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.I got to know it when one of my English recommend it in the class. Though I did not take it seriously at that time, I still browsed it out of sheer boredom. Then I found it a good way to effectively improve my English skills, especially oral English. There is a section in the website called The English we speak . every week , it would post anarticle, teaching us the words and idiomatic phrases that native speakers love to sue in everyday’s conversation. For example, when I am tired after a long walk or something instead of using words like relax myself or have a rest, I learn to say: I would like to take the weight off my feet or put my feet up. It makes my English sounds less boring, isn’t it ?In a nutshell, this website really helps me a lot without costing me a penny. As learning language is a lifelong process, I will keep it for a very long time.Describe a book you have recommended by someoneYou should say:Who recommend itWhat the book was aboutAnd explain what you have learned from it范文!Well, the book I would like to talk about is called “world world” and it was recommended by one friend of mine when I was still at middle school. So anyway, as for what the book was about, well basically, it’s set a time when the planet is almost completely submerged in water, because the ice caps have all melted due to global warming, and so the sea levels have risen to a point where all land has pretty much been covered by water. So that’s the situation, and basically what happens in the book is that everyone’s living on boats and looking for land. And if I remember correctly, there’s a girl who’s got some kind of map tattooed on her which shows where land can actually be found. And the book finishes with them eventually finding the land and living happily. And regarding what I have learned from it , to tell you the truth, it made me really kind of appreciate the land that we have around us. Before reading the book, I kind of just took it for granted and didn’t really think much about it. So in a way it sort of helped me appreciate my life a bit more, if you know what I mean!So yeah, I guess that’s pretty much all there is to say. Thanks for listening!Describe a book that you enjoyed readingDescribe a film that you dislikedDescribe an important letter you have receivedYou should say:Who wrote itWhat the letter was aboutHow you felt about the letterAnd explain why it was importantOk, well I suppose one of the most important letters I’ve received was an offer letter from a university I applied to – Leeds University, to be precise – so that’s what I think I’ll talk about. And as for who the letter was from, well, I can't quite remember the name of the actual person who wrote it, I’m afraid, but if I’m not mistaken, it was sent by the university admissions office, who I guess are responsible for handling such matters.Anyway, regarding what the letter was about, well basically, it was just informing me that I had been accepted onto their Master’s program in Finance, so it was really great news for me, because this was the course that I most wanted to study, and out of all the various universities that I applied to, Leeds was definitely top of my list,as it was the one that most appealed to me, in terms of both the course content and social life. So, as you can imagine, I was over the moon after receiving the offer. I mean, it felt like all the years of hard work I’ve put into my studies seemed to have finally paid off, so it was like a dream come true for me, it really was.And finally then, with regard to why this letter was important, well, I think it goes without saying that it was extremely important, because essentially, it means that I’m gonna be able to study abroad, which I’m sure will have a huge impact on my future career, as it will hopefully enable me to apply for jobs which I wouldn’t have otherwise been considered for.And as well as this, I reckon that studying abroad will help me become more mature and independent, which I’ve noticed has happened with a few of my friends who have spent some time abroad, and I’m sure this’ll have a positive effect on my life in general. So it’s a big opportunity for me, and I’m really looking forward to it!新题!Describe an unforgettable advertisement that you saw or heardWhere you saw or heard itWhat kind of advertisement it wasWhet the contents of the advertisement wereAnd explain how you felt about when you saw or heard this advertisement。

Describe a theatre or music hall that you have seen or been toYou should say:what kind of music is performed therewhy people go thereand explain your impressions of this place解答思路:把4个subtitle按照主次进行描述,侧重点放在最后的个人感觉上。
同时注意其中逻辑关系,上下句要有起承转合:where it is (简单交代)what kind of music is performed there (简单交代)why people go there (简单交代)and explain your impressions of this place (重点描述)When I was in Shanghai last spring, I had some extra time one day and went to the Shanghai Concert Hall. It was time very well spent.Built in 1930, the 78-year-old building is located on the central of downtown and is a typical classical architecture in a European style. The theater’s classical European architecture makes it one of the most famous architectural and cultural heritages sites in Shanghai. Music performed here is usually 'classical' music, although there are exceptions. The acoustics are so fantastic that many world-famous artists have been attracted to perform in this hall, including violinists maestro Isaac Stern, Salvatore Accardo, Choliang Lin and cellists Yoyo Ma; pianists Alieda de Larrocha, FU Chong, YING Chunzhong as well as the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra and many others have given high appraisals after giving their successful concerts here.I was very impressed by the atmosphere and intimacy of the hall. The sound is clear, full-bodied, and clean for every vocal part and the mix is perfect. Even without microphones, every one of the nearly 2,000 members in the audience could hear the speech given by conductor. Many widely known musical celebrities such as conductor Tang Muhai and Zhang Guohai started their careers here.It echoes from the ghosts of many many many great artists who performed thereAnd explain your impressions of this placeThe concert hall is decorated with marble pillars, Roman chandeliers and other architectural designs.Sixteen huge marble pillars are seen when audiences step into the lobby, and the front hall is deliberately ornamented with elegant patterns of slightly solemnized color, which is very much in harmony with the music played inside. Most notably, there's a large television jumbotron on a nearby building. It plays commercials, and there's speakers lying about to play the commercial's sound at night. Kind of annoying, really.。
