A. 时间状语从句

1.when：当…时；突然I was walking along the street when someone patted me on the shoulder.

2.while：在…期间，接延续性动词，多接过去进行时While it was raining，they went out

3.as：一边…一边…，一…就… She dances as she sings./ Just as he caught the worm,he carried out △when，while，as都可以接延续动词，这时三者可以互换，as更强调动作先后或同时发生My father fall asleep while/when/as I was watching TV.

When/As you leave，please take a raincoat with you.（不能用while）

4.before：在…之前，主将从现，主句过去时或过去完成时，从句用一般过去时

They had got everything ready before I arrived.

△It was（not）long before…过了很久才…/不久…

It was not long before the whole country rose up.

It will（not）be long before…要过很久才…/过不久就会…

It will probably not be long before they understand each other.

Would/will…before... 宁可…也不愿…

5.after：在…之后，从句过去时或过去完成时，主句用一般过去时

He arrived after the game started.

6.until与tiil：

①在肯定句中，表示“做…直到…”，必须接延续性动词，可以与before互换

I slept until midnight. Wait till I call you. Let’s get in the wheat before/until the sun sets.

②在否定句中，表示“直到…才做…”，可接延续或非延续动词

She didn’t stop working until 11 o’clock.

③until可用于句首，till通常不用句首

7.since：主句完成时，从句过去时

8. as soon as/the moment：一…就…As soon as I arrive in Shanghai，I’ll write to you.

9. hardly…when/no sooner…than：一…就…，主句过去完成时，从句过去时

B.地点状语从句

由where，wherever引导

Where I live there are plenty of trees. Wherever I am I will be thinking of you.

C.方式状语从句

1.as/ （just）as…so…：以…方式；按照；位于句首时表示“正如…；像…”

Leave it as it is.

Just as we sleep our rooms，so we should sweep backward ideas from our minds.

2.as if/as though：好像…似的He looks as if/though he had been hit by lighting.

D.目的状语从句

由that，so that，in order that，for fear that，in case等引导

I opened the window so that fresh air might come in.

Put on more clothes for fear that you should catch cold.

They worked harder than usual in order that they could finish the work ahead of time.

1.because ：直接原因，语气最强，必然的因果关系，回答why 引导的疑问句

I came back late yesterday because I was on duty.

2.since ：由于，既然，语气比because 弱，表示间接的附带原因

Since I have no money ，I can ’t buy any food.

3.as ：由于，语气比since 弱，表示为人所知的，显而易见的原因

As he didn ’t know much English ，he looked up the word in the dictionary.

4.for ：表示多种情况推断 He must be ill ，for he is absent today.

F.结果状语从句

1.such+a/an+形容词+可数名词单数+that … = so+形容词+a/an+可数名词单数+that … This is such an interesting book that I want to read it again.

This is so interesting a book that I want to read it again.

2.such+形容词+可数名词复数/不可数名词+that …

He told us such funny stories that we all laughed.

3.so+形容词/副词+that …

He spoke so fast that I couldn ’t follow him.

4.so+many/few/much/little …

G.让步状语从句

1.although 与though ：不与but 连用，可以与yet 连用

Although/Though he was over sixty ，（yet ）he began to learn French.

2.even if 与even though ：即使，纵使 I ’ll go even if/though it rains tomorrow.

3.no matter+特殊疑问词 = 特殊疑问词-ever （no matter 结构不引导宾语从句）

No matter what （whatever ）the weather is like ，you can always find surfers out riding the waves. Prisoners have to eat whatever they are given.（whatever 引导宾语从句，不能用no matter what ）

H.条件状语从句

1.if ：如果 If it doesn ’t rain tomorrow ，we will go there by bike.

2.unless ：除非；如果不…，相当于if …not

Let ’s go out for a walk unless you are too tired. If you are not too tired ，let ’s go out for a walk.

3.as/so long as ：只要…就… As/So long as I keep running ，I will finish the race.

△条件状语从句的时态：主将从现

I.比较状语从句

1.同级比较：as …as …，not so/as …as …，the same as …，such …as

Mary is as old as my sister. He doesn ’t run so/as fast as Jack.

His book is the same as mine. He is not such a good worker as Peter.

2.不同级：形容词/副词的比较级+than

3.the more …，the more …/ the+比较级…，the+比较级…：越…，越…
