6. demand
①vt. 需要；要求，请求
The kind of work demands energy and patience. 这种工作需要精力和耐心。 demand to do 要求做某事 demand of sb. to do sth. 要求某人做某事 demand that… 要求…… Note: 后面的宾语从句要用虚拟语气。即：demand that sb. (should) do的形式。
2. every +基数+名词复数=every +序数+名 词单数
意为 “每---” every two weeks=every second week =every other week
