And men who eat fish several timesa week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchershave told the American Association for Cancer Research. The studies add to a growing body of evidence about the role of dietin cancer. Cancer experts now believe that up to two-thirds of all cancerscome from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and lack of exercise. The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the Universityof Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofuand miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancerby 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, thoughcompounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects.A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a weekhad a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared withmen who ate fish less than once a week. Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interferewith the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.据美国研究人员报告,儿童时期经常吃豆类食品的女性患乳腺癌的风险较小。

If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English.I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that aftercontinuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is a great honor to stand before you today as a representative of the genius college students in our esteemed institution. The title of a genius college student is not just a label or a recognition of our intellect, but it is a responsibility and a challenge. Today, I want to share with you my thoughts on what it means to be a genius college student, the opportunities it brings, the challenges we face, and the legacy we aim to leave behind.First and foremost, let us define what it means to be a genius. A genius is not merely someone with an exceptional IQ or a prodigious talent. A genius is someone who has the ability to think differently, to question the status quo, and to contribute uniquely to the world. As genius college students, we are the embodiment of this definition, as we have been selected for our intellectual prowess and our potential to make a significant impact. The opportunities that come with being a genius college student are vast and diverse. We have the privilege of attending one of the world's top institutions, surrounded by brilliant minds from various disciplines. This environment fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation. We have access to state-of-the-art facilities, renowned faculty, and numerous research opportunities. These resources enable us to explore our passions, push the boundaries of knowledge, and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries. One of the greatest opportunities we have as genius college students is the chance to learn from the best. Our professors are leading experts in their fields, and their mentorship can shape our academic and professional journeys. We can engage in thought-provoking discussions, challenge our own beliefs, and develop critical thinking skills thatwill serve us well beyond our college years. This is a unique opportunity that we must seize with both hands. However, with great opportunities come great challenges. The pressure to live up to the title of a genius can be overwhelming. We are constantly expected to excel in our studies, participate in research, andcontribute to the community. The fear of failure can paralyze us, andthe pressure to perform can lead to burnout. It is crucial for us to recognize that being a genius is not about being perfect; it is about being human and embracing our imperfections.Another challenge we face is the stigma associated with being a genius. There is a misconception that geniuses are isolated, cold, and unapproachable. This stereotype can hinder our ability to build meaningful relationships and collaborate with others. It is essentialfor us to break this stereotype and demonstrate that being a genius does not diminish our ability to connect with others on a personal level. As genius college students, we also have a responsibility to use our talents for the greater good. Our intellect and knowledge can be a powerful tool for addressing the world's most pressing issues. Whetherit is climate change, poverty, or inequality, we have the potential to make a significant impact. We must be proactive in seeking out opportunities to apply our skills and expertise to create positive change. In order to leave a lasting legacy, we must focus on the following:1. Embrace our curiosity: The pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey. We must continue to ask questions, explore new ideas, and challenge ourselves to grow intellectually.2. Cultivate empathy: A genius without empathy is hollow. We must strive to understand others' perspectives, foster compassion, and work towards building a more inclusive society.3. Collaborate: The power of teamwork cannot be underestimated. We must learn to work effectively with others, leveraging our diverse skills and experiences to achieve common goals.4. Innovate: As geniuses, we have the ability to think outside the box. We must use our creativity to solve problems, create new solutions, and push the boundaries of what is possible.5. Lead by example: We must lead with integrity, demonstrating the qualities of a true genius – not just in our intellect, but in our character and actions. In conclusion, being a genius college student is a remarkable privilege. It is a journey that requires us to embrace our intellectual gifts, overcome challenges, and use our talents to make a positive impact on the world. Let us not forget that the title of a genius is not just a recognition of our abilities, but a call to action. Together, we can create a legacy that will inspire future generations of genius college students and leave an indelible mark on the world.Thank you for your attention, and let us embark on this extraordinary journey together.[Applause]。

大学生励志演讲稿英文版

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon! It is my great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is close to my heart: the journey of a college student. As we gather here, each one of us is on a unique path, filled with dreams, aspirations, and challenges. Today, I want to talk about embracing these challenges and turning them intoopportunities for growth and success.Firstly, let us acknowledge the fact that being a college student is not an easy feat. The road to success is paved with obstacles, and it is our responsibility to navigate through them with determination and resilience. College is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about shaping our character, developing critical thinking skills, and learning how to adapt to a constantly changing world. As we embark on this journey, it is crucial to remember that we are not alone. We are part of a larger community of students, faculty, and staff who are all striving to achieve their own goals. Let us take a moment to appreciate the support we have around us and the resources that are available to us.Now, let us delve into the essence of this speech: embracing challenges. Challenges are inevitable in our lives, and they come in various forms. They may be academic, personal, or social, but they all serve as stepping stones to our growth. Here are some key points to keep in mind as we face these challenges:1. Embrace the UnknownOne of the greatest fears that we, as college students, face is the unknown. We are constantly stepping out of our comfort zones, trying new things, and taking risks. It is important to embrace this uncertainty and view it as an opportunity for growth. Remember that every new experience teaches us something valuable, even if it is just about what we do not want in our lives.2. Develop a Growth MindsetA growth mindset is the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. When we encounter challenges, instead of viewing them as insurmountable obstacles, we should see them as opportunities to learn and improve. Cultivate a mindset that thrives on challenges and embraces the process of learning from our mistakes.3. Build Strong RelationshipsCollege is a time to make lasting connections. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you, and support you. These relationships will not only help you navigate through the challenges of college life but also prepare you for the challenges of the professional world. Remember that you do not have to do it alone; we are all in this together.4. Prioritize Your Health and Well-beingAs we strive for academic excellence, it is easy to forget about our own health and well-being. However, a healthy mind and body are essentialfor our success. Make time for exercise, eat well, get enough sleep, and take breaks when needed. Remember that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.5. Stay PersistentPersistence is the key to overcoming challenges. The road to success is not linear; it is filled with ups and downs. When faced with setbacks, do not lose hope. Learn from your experiences, adjust your strategies, and keep moving forward. Remember that success is not the absence of failure but the courage to face it head-on.6. Believe in YourselfSelf-belief is the foundation of success. When you believe in yourself, you are more likely to take risks, face challenges, and persevere. Surround yourself with positive affirmations and remind yourself of your strengths and accomplishments. You have the power to shape your destiny; all you need is the courage to pursue it.In conclusion, as college students, we have a unique opportunity to shape our future and leave a lasting impact on the world. By embracing challenges, developing a growth mindset, building strong relationships, prioritizing our health, staying persistent, and believing in ourselves, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.Let us take this journey together, supporting one another and lifting each other up. Remember that the journey is as important as the destination. Enjoy the process, learn from your experiences, and never lose sight of your dreams.Thank you for your attention, and may we all strive for greatness in our lives.Godspeed.[Applause]。

The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. Its also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.如何才能受人欢迎大部分的人都想受人欢迎,但是并非每个人都能达到目标。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on the incredible journey that lies aheadfor us as college students. College is a time of immense growth, discovery, and self-realization. It is a period where we transition from the confines of our high school lives to the vast and unpredictableworld of adulthood. In this speech, I will discuss the challenges and opportunities that await us, the importance of self-discovery, and how we can make the most out of our college experience.First and foremost, let us acknowledge the challenges that come with college life. For many of us, this will be our first time away from home, and the adjustment to a new environment can be daunting. We will face academic pressures, the need to manage our time effectively, and the struggle to make new friends. These challenges can sometimes seem overwhelming, but they are precisely the factors that contribute to our personal growth.Academic challenges are a natural part of college life. We will encounter subjects we have never studied before, and the workload will undoubtedly increase. However, this is not a reason to despair. Instead, it is an opportunity to expand our knowledge and develop criticalthinking skills. We should embrace the challenge, seek help when needed, and never lose sight of our goals. Remember, the effort we put into our studies now will pay off in the long run.Time management is another critical aspect of college life. With a packed schedule of classes, extracurricular activities, and social engagements, it is easy to become overwhelmed. However, mastering time management skills will not only help us succeed academically but also prepare us for the demands of the real world. We must prioritize our tasks, set realistic goals, and learn to balance our personal and academic lives. This will require discipline and perseverance, but the rewards are well worth the effort.Social challenges are also an integral part of college life. Making new friends and forming a support network is essential for our emotionalwell-being. It can be daunting to step out of our comfort zones and engage with people we don't know, but it is through these interactions that we learn about ourselves and others. We should be open-minded, respectful, and willing to listen and learn from those around us. By doing so, we will not only enrich our own lives but also create lasting friendships. Now, let us focus on the opportunities that await us in college. College is a time for self-discovery, and it is here that we can explore our interests, talents, and passions. We have the freedom to choose our majors, join clubs, and participate in activities that align with our interests. This exploration will not only help us find our calling but also provide us with valuable experiences and memories. One of the most significant opportunities that college offers is the chance to meet diverse individuals from different backgrounds and cultures. This exposure will broaden our perspectives, challenge our preconceived notions, and make us more adaptable and understanding individuals. We should take advantage of this diversity by engaging in conversations, participating in cultural events, and learning about other people's experiences.Furthermore, college is a time for personal growth. We will face challenges, make mistakes, and learn from them. These experiences will shape our character, teach us resilience, and prepare us for the real world. We must be open to change, willing to take risks, and ready to embrace the unknown. It is through these challenges that we will become the adults we are meant to be.To make the most out of our college experience, we must adopt a growth mindset. This mindset involves believing that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. We should embrace failure as a learning opportunity, seek feedback, and constantly strive to improve ourselves. By doing so, we will not only achieve our academic goals but also develop the qualities that will serve us well in our future careers and personal lives. In conclusion, college is an incredible journey filled with challenges, opportunities, and self-discovery. It is a time for us to grow, learn, and become the individuals we are meant to be. By embracing the challenges, making the most out of the opportunities, and adopting a growth mindset, we can make the most of our college experience. As we embark on this journey, let us remember that we are not alone. We have each other, our families, and the countless resources available to us. Together, we can face the challenges, navigate the opportunities, and grow into the remarkable individuals that we are destined to become.Thank you for your attention, and I wish you all a fulfilling and memorable college experience.[Applause]。

2023年大学生英语演讲稿(精选4篇)大学生英语演讲稿1Honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said "no." I couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. I will never forget his words. "Look," he said, "We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraidto ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits."I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!Thank you.

1good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:i’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech!to begin with,i want to ask aquestion.does everybody dream a good dream last night?actually, today i want to talk about dream with you.of course, what i want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream-- about life.everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us.dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them.with the dream,we have a direction, with a direction,we were no longer confused.with thedream, there is hope, with hope,we have the strength to fight.i have a dream: to be a doctor.,because doctor may relieve the pain of patients.may let the human change the health.at the same time,i believed that, those who help others may be able to obtain joyfully.therefore,i hoped in the near future,i might be a doctor.but i know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and wemay feel depressed, whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always fort us,encourage us,and support us to move ahead.young!fortunately,i am young now.just due to it,i know that nothing is impossible.i firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way.if i cant realize my dream,it result from that i havent work harder enough and i wont find other excuses.if no people believe you,you can make it to prove that you are right.if you think the god havent blessed you and there is no truth here, you can bee the god and create the truth."my breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow,my sword is famous in kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." at some time in the past i also had am bitious words and i had some achievements.each achievement results from my hard work.i always believe that "if you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder." in some extent, the dream is the hope.if you can insist on doing something, the victory will e.hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go,life is a barren field frozen with snow.so my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams.whatever it is,pick it up and make it alive from today.lets--- move----out!thank you for your listening!best wishes!大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇2Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple.Winning a game is success;getting a high grade in the exam is success;making a new friend is success;even now I am standing here giving my speechis somehow also success. However,as a person’s whole life isconcerned, success bees very plicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No,I don’t think so.I believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and ideals.Nowadays,in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life.So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us.If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore,we can see,to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization ofpeople’ hopes and ideals.Different people have different ideas about success;c ause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to e by,cause in theprocess of our striving for success,we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings:love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you.It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope. What is success?Everyone has his owninterpretation as I do.But I am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe inourselves,we,every one of us,can make a successfullife!Wish you all good success!大学生三分钟的'英语演讲稿篇3good evening, ladies and gentlemen:we are the world,we are the future someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”.i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always l iked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be.we are all in the position of the farmers.if we plant a good seed,we reap a good harvest.if we plant nothing at all,we harvest nothing at all.we are young.“how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question.to answer it,first i have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life,it’s a state of mind.it’s not amatter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees.it’s the matter of the will.it’s the freshn ess of the deep spring of life.a poet said “to see a world in a grain ofsand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.several days ago,i had a chance to listen to a lecture.ilearnt a lot there.i’d li ke to share it with all of you.let’s show our right palms.we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is.i have a short line of life.what about yours?i wondered whether we could see our future in this way.well, let’s make a fist.where is our future?where is our love, career, and life?tell me.yeah,it is in our hands.it is held in ourselves.we all want the future to be better than the past.but the future can go better itself.don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.from the pas t,we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher.we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it.failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it,it does mean you should do it in a different way.failure doesn’t mean you shoul d give up,it does mean you must try harder.as what i said at the beginning,“we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”.the past has gone.nothing we dowill change it.but the future is in front ofus.believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us.and from today on,let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world,we are the future.大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇4Dear audience friends:Hello! If the world has no sunshine, water,no parents,no family friendship and love,so what will bee like?the following:No sunshine,no warmth; There is no water, there is no life;No parents,of course, there is no ourown;Without affection, friendship, love, the world will be a lonely and dark. These truths are very simple, but in life,we should enjoy these, but often less agrateful heart.Thanksgiving many people, many things, the blame es from not, dont want to be grateful.Indeed,Chinas cultural traditions make it difficult for us to say " mom I love you,dad I love you".However, this should not be an excuse.Crow has the meaning of feedback, sheep have knelt milk of grace,do not understandgratitude, lost the emotional basis of love. So,learn to be grateful,to thank parents for their nurturing,to thank teachers for their teaching,to thank friends for their help,to thank all the people who are kind tohelp themselves and even to thank us for the rough experience.I will not forget one thing not longago. That day I go shopping with my classmates,a little boy is four or five years old, came running from the front.Because it is winter, down jacket the little boy stay round doodle, rolling up like a small ball.He asked me which bus to take to the zoo,and I told him to take no 4 there. He ran back happily. My classmates and I will go forward. We all walked quite faraway, heard the little boy behind " brother elder brother" call me.I didnt know what he was going to do,so I stood there waiting for him, watching his forehead hot sweat ran to my front,I asked him if he had something,he panted heavily as he said," I just forgot to say thank you to you.Did mom say thank you?I said forget, mom let me chase you." I wont forget the child and the mother, they let me never forget to learn to thank,no matter what people in the world to give their own even if it is trivial help and care, also dont forget to thank.Parents give us love, often small butmeticulous, not only is often we think it should be so,but also think they are old saying, too tired? In fact, gratitude is from the heart. As the saying goes," drop of water, when Yongquan quote." whats more, parents pay for you is not only" a drop of water ",but a sea of water.Because, parents are god gives us dont need any modification of the heart of sustenance.thank you.大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇5good evening, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech-change the world, change ourselves.it’s noticable that western holidays are being increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected.not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against ourtraditional festivals and culture.frankly speaking,i don’t quite agree withthem.indeed,we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions.(examples).but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china.on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s da y and april fool’s day etc.on the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china.overwhelmed by such a trend, chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.with the further development of the wholeworld, the cultural munication between different countries and nations bees faster and more and more important.we are indeedfromdifferent nations, but we are the citizens of the same world,so the outstanding culture of different nations is the mom wealth of everyone on the earth.the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture?the answer is definitely no.what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture.only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture.only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇6say growing up in rich family promotes children's personality and character. Some think otherwise. What's your opinion? Why?Well,it's quite a question argued by people all the time.I think a person's personality has little relation to his family economic level. It's monly said that a child in rich family will has more chances and better choice for his study. However,if the kid himself isn't aware of this, that is all in vain. It's notunusual that many children from rich family are quite rude and conceited although they are always receive the best education. Then, how about the poor family's children? There is another saying that adversity cultivates heroes. To be honest,I disagree with it too.Poor children should learn harder and catch every chance to strengthen themselves. However, the reality is often not like that.Subjectively speaking, poorchildren are easy to feel inferior and thus can't study well.Even if they study well, they hardly do well in practicing ability.Objectively speaking, poor children can hardly receive good and plentiful education because of the economic limit. That will cause deficiency in some literal or artistic talent such as music or dance. Therefore,I think children's personality have little relation to their family situation.universities, students should take history courses no matter what field they study.Do you agree?I disagree with it even though I do know historyis important.I'm a student major in electricity. To be honest,I think there is little sense for students in university taking history courses no matter what field they study.Maybe many people would say, history is something left by our ancestors,so we shouldn't forget it.Yes,I agree with that.History need to be remembered. But in fact,we have been learning history from primary school.I really it's enough for people like me whose major has little relation to history.I just take history exam last year. For me,it was reallya nightmare.I spent so much time on it and still can remember all.Now that we're chosen engineering,I can't understand why we need and have to learn history again. The time spent on history learning should be used for our major courses.大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇7Today on 15th August 20xx it!大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇9Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The issue of the Yellow River has bee the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples Political Consultative Conference. My childhood,in fact,is closely associated with the river. My father is an engineeringgeologist, and he used to take me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river.I enjoyed those trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia reservoir.Although ten years have passed since my visit,I can still recall the scenery;I can stillrecall the water I saw at the reservoir. It waspure, clean and blue, not like the water I saw in themiddle reaches of the river, which had turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.Once during our stay at the power station,we were caught in a thunderstorm. And when rain stopped,I could see trickles of water rolling down mountain slopes and flowing into the reservoir. It carried little mud or sand, because at that time, trees and grass still grew around the reservoir. And they protected the soil.At Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature, and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.Li Bai,the Tang Dynasty poet, said praises to the flowing water in the Yellow River. He saw it as ing down from heaven and nurturing the people along her way to the sea. However,in 1997,for 330days,not asingle drop of water from the Yellow River went into the sea.And droughts are not the only punishment by nature.A friend of my father's,a university professor,is doing research on the YellowRiver.According to this professor, the Yellow Riverwill soon change its course if we allow this situation to continue.Because there is no longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in return. And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth. If we had taken care of the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of theYellow River,we would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more natural resources than the rest of the world, they've also taken some good measures in protecting nature. And as a developing country,China can learn from them in this aspect.Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts invited us to join them for a horse-ride in the mountains. After two hours on horseback,we reached a valley, where there was a most beautiful meadow, with flowers in all colors dotted on a huge blanket of green. When I began to praise the beauty of nature,my friends told me that in this valley, there used to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned everything brown. When the mine was abandoned, people made great efforts to restore the green vegetation. They also used the latest biological technology choosing the best grass seeds suitable for the local soil.So the beautiful meadow is a result of mitment, hard work, and new technology. What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our Yellow River and,in fact,it is happening.I have seen farmers planting trees on mountains along the Yellow River.I have seen them climb the mountain tops with seedlings on their shoulders because they had no machinery.I have seen them pour on trees the water they had carried up inbuckets from miles down the valley. These farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River, just as the river has nourished them. And these farmers, men and women I don't know, gave me the confidence that we and our Yellow River will grow together, and someday in the future,we will be able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again, because she is our dearest mother.Thank you.大学生三分钟的英语演讲稿篇10Good afternoon, teachers!First please allow me to introduce myself briefly. My name is Xie Tianyuan.I am 17 years It’s Ma JiaJue—the college student who murdered 4 of his roommates. Many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. In my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmates’ indifference.Indifference is a terrible disease in today’s colleges and the whole society. It’s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. It’s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. It’s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all. Some people may say ‘What the students with psychological problems like Ma JiaJue need is not care but psychotherapy." However, when people are ill, what they need most is not only medical treatment, but also care from people around them. Every smile and every caring word will bring sunshine to their life.I once heard one of my roommates who was an introverted girl sobbing at mid-night. Being afraid of disturbing her, I sent a text messageto comfort her. The next day, she told me that she was crying for not being invited to one of her friend’s birthday party. She thought she was neglected by others. But my message was really comforting which told her someone still cared about her. What can we do to prevent the tragedy of Ma JiaJue from happening again? Some people may say ‘Let’s open more psychological courses in schools.’ and other people may say ‘Let’s donate more money for the poor students.’ But I’ll say "My fellow student, let’s give more love and care to our roommates, our classmates and every person around us!"大学生英语演讲稿17Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman! First I want to say is that I’m very proud of to be invited to to present my topic here, which is " Internet Civilization".Before I begin my topic, please allow me to ask you a question: Every time you click the mouse to surf the web, do you know what does it mean?On the net, you can make friends overseas and call them with IP phones; you can get information from all over the world; you can even give a hand to some people in troubles and get help when in need. However, we have to admit that internet also leads to intimacy before acquaintance; it scatters secrets outwards, not inwards; and, most worrying of all, it is a vehicle for liars. Here we should see, there exists good and evil, right and wrong on the web. As netizens, we’d better grow to realize the importance of Internet Civilization.Just as the famous saying goes "Long and steep is the path to virtue." Many people advocate that we should be sincere, honest and responsible in our society—the real world. Now, what I want to add is that we also should obey the primary moral principles in this virtual world. All of my dear friends here, on the internet, which role did you play? Which role are you playing? And which role will you play?Thank you very much!大学生英语演讲稿18it is said that the symbol of an excellent university is not mersured byunique architecture but by the number of masters it ver,for my part, aharmonious atmosphere is an essential factor:because her reputation is formedboth by knowledge of the masters and creativity of the what iscalled harmony on college campus?in my opinion,a harmonious campus is firstly an academic campus where thestudents are eager to learn ,the professors are dilligent to do researches andinstruct course,a dense cultural atmosphere can be verybenificial.secondly, the relationship among teachers and students is erhigh school teachers were tough with us while our college instructors are verybenign and des learning from them,we can also consult them aboutdaily trouble and we their help,we open our minds to newappraoches and enlarge our insight.thirdly,a harmonious relationship among schoolmates can be helpful as student should not only show their individuality but slao display instance, when studying in the library,we'r supposed to keep quiet inorder not to disturb we'r finishd with our meals,we should clean upthe tables. also a close relation amid roomates can make us feel . inchina ,six or four students come from different parts with different dailyhabits have to share the same it is crucial to build a harmoniousdormitory by keeping/setting up the same routine schedual.lastly, harmonious atmosphere is not something imposed on us but somethingwe need to cultivate, which will definitely bring more vitality to thecampus.all in all, actions speak louder than must make endeavors torefresh the atmosphere and each positive effort will increase the harmony oncampus.a harmonious campus is a cradle where we become social eby, it is remained for us to create such a we can feel warm, inspiring and live merrily in harmony.。

Today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it, and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.First I want to ask you some questions:1、Do you know what is youth?2、How do you master your youth?YouthYouth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.Whether 60 of 16, there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grownold ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.Thank you!大学生英语演讲稿3亲爱的老师和同学们:下午好,我很高兴在这里发表演讲!这次,我我想谈谈英语。

大学生英文演讲稿-What Is Real Beauty三篇

大学生英文演讲稿-What Is Real Beauty三篇

大学生英文演讲稿-What Is Real Beauty三篇演讲稿一:What is Real Beauty?Ladies and gentlemen,Today, I stand before you to discuss a topic that has been debated and pondered upon for centuries – what is real beauty? In a world where appearances seem to be everything, it is crucial to delve deeper into the concept of beauty and understand its true essence.Real beauty goes beyond physical attributes. It encompasses the qualities that make a person truly admirable and inspiring. Real beauty lies in kindness, compassion, and empathy. It is the ability to uplift others and make a positive impact on the world. Real beauty is not something that can be measured by external standards, but rather, it is felt and experienced through genuine connections and acts of love.In our society, the media often portrays a narrow and unrealistic definition of beauty. We are bombarded with images of flawless skin, perfect bodies, and airbrushed features. This can create a distorted perception of what beauty truly is. It is important for us to remember that these images are often heavily edited and do not represent reality. Real beauty is not confined to a specific size, shape, or color. It is diverse and unique, just like each and every one of us.Real beauty is also about embracing our imperfections and celebrating our individuality. It is about being comfortable in our own skin and not comparing ourselves to others. Society may pressure us to conform to certain standards, but true beauty lies in authenticity and self-acceptance. When we learn to love ourselvesfor who we truly are, we radiate a beauty that cannot be replicated or compared.Furthermore, real beauty is not limited to physical appearance alone. It encompasses our thoughts, words, and actions. It is about being kind-hearted, generous, and respectful towards others. Real beauty is about treating everyone with dignity and understanding, regardless of their appearance or background. It is about using our voices to advocate for justice and equality. Real beauty is about making a positive difference in the world. In conclusion, real beauty is not something that can be defined by societal standards or physical attributes. It is a multifaceted concept that encompasses kindness, compassion, and authenticity. It is about embracing our imperfections and celebrating our individuality. Real beauty is felt and experienced through genuine connections and acts of love. Let us strive to redefine beauty and focus on what truly matters – the beauty that lies within each and every one of us.Thank you.。

大学生励志演讲稿英文

大学生励志演讲稿英文

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon! It is my great honor to stand before you today to share with you some thoughts on the road to success for college students. As we embark on this exciting journey of higher education, it is crucial to remember that success is not an end destination, but rather a continuous process of growth, learning, and perseverance. In this speech, I will discuss the importance of embracing challenges, cultivating resilience, and setting meaningful goals to achieve our dreams.Firstly, let us talk about the significance of embracing challenges. College life is filled with numerous challenges, ranging from academic pressures to personal relationships. These challenges are not meant to discourage us, but rather to shape us into better individuals. As college students, we are exposed to a diverse range of subjects and ideas that can be both fascinating and daunting. It is in the face of these challenges that we can truly develop our skills, broaden our perspectives, and discover our true potential. One of the most crucial aspects of embracing challenges is to maintain a positive mindset. When faced with difficulties, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and lose confidence in ourselves. However, it is important to remember that challenges are opportunities in disguise. By embracing these challenges, we can learn to adapt, problem-solve, and develop resilience. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and continue moving forward. It is a vital quality that will serve us well not only in our academic pursuits but also in our future careers and personal lives. To cultivate resilience, we must first acknowledge that failure is a natural part of the learning process. As college students, we are expected to learn and grow, and this often involves making mistakes. Instead of viewing failure as a setback, we should see it as a stepping stone to success. When we encounter failure, we should analyze what went wrong, learn from our mistakes, and apply these lessons to our future endeavors. This mindset will help us develop the confidence and determination to face any challenge that comes our way.Next, let us discuss the importance of setting meaningful goals. Goals provide us with direction and purpose, and they are essential for personal growth and success. As college students, we should take thetime to reflect on our values, passions, and long-term aspirations. Once we have a clear understanding of what we want to achieve, we can set SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. By breaking down our goals into smaller, manageable tasks, we can stay focused and motivated throughout our academic journey.Setting meaningful goals also helps us prioritize our time and resources. College life is often characterized by a multitude of commitments, andit is easy to become overwhelmed. By identifying our priorities and aligning them with our goals, we can make informed decisions about howto allocate our time and energy. This approach will not only enhance our academic performance but also allow us to engage in extracurricular activities that contribute to our personal development. In addition to setting goals, it is crucial to maintain a balanced lifestyle. College students often face the temptation to sacrifice sleep, nutrition, and social interactions in the pursuit of academic excellence. However, a balanced lifestyle is essential for maintaining our physical and mental well-being. By ensuring that we get enough rest, eat ahealthy diet, and maintain social connections, we can enhance ourability to cope with stress and perform at our best.Furthermore, it is important to foster a growth mindset. A growthmindset is the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. College students with a growth mindset are more likely to embrace challenges, persist in theface of setbacks, and ultimately achieve success. To cultivate a growth mindset, we should surround ourselves with supportive and inspiring individuals, seek feedback from mentors and peers, and celebrate our progress, no matter how small.Lastly, let us not forget the power of perseverance. Success is not a linear path; it is characterized by ups and downs. As college students, we must be prepared to face adversity and continue pushing forward. Perseverance is what separates the successful individuals from the rest. When we encounter obstacles, we should remember that these moments are merely temporary and that our determination will ultimately lead us to our goals. In conclusion, the road to success for college students is paved with challenges, resilience, and perseverance. By embracing challenges, cultivating resilience, setting meaningful goals, maintaining a balanced lifestyle, fostering a growth mindset, and persevering through adversity, we can navigate the complexities of college life and achieve our dreams. Remember, success is not a destination but a journey. Let us embark on this path with courage, determination, and an unwavering spirit.Thank you for your attention, and may we all achieve greatness in our lives and careers.[The end]。

1Commencement is a milestone—one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future. At the University of Michigan, Spring Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event where graduates are recognized by their school or college as a group, and honorary degrees are conferred. In addition to Spring Commencement, which all graduates are welcome to attend, each school, college and campus hold individual ceremonies to celebrate their graduates’ accomplishments.Class of 20xx, Congratulations!I join your professors, family members and friends in expressing my utmost pride as we celebrate your accomplishments as the newest graduates of the University of Michigan.Graduates, you did it!Each one of you earned a place here – and you made the most of it.I know that for many of you, the road to get here was not easy. Perhaps you traversed some potholes along the way.I have it on the highest authority, however, that these potholes are about to be filled, and the roads are going to get fixed …But for those of you who are first-generation students, military veterans, or from communities, cities and towns thatdon’t send many students to Michigan –I hope you are especially relishing this day.As members of the Class of 20xx, all of you have conquered the rigors of our curricula. You exceled in your studies, your research, your advocacy and your service. You found ways to navigate central campus, when we decided to renovate the LS&A building and the Union at the same time. And you even survived a polar vortex – with not one, but TWO, days of canceled classes.Since we are here, you must have used that time to study.演讲稿英语2We live in an era of accelerating change where often as a society and as individuals we seem to be struggling to keep up.Graduation is all about change. And at Michigan that means it’s not only about the change in you, it’s about the changes you will contribute to in society. In the fall of 20xx, when many of you started as undergraduates here at Michigan, our world was a different place.Me Too was not yet a hashtag. The event horizon of a black hole had never been imaged. And midterm voter turnout on university campuses across the country was just 19 percent. Each of these examples, in their own way, demonstrates the often long and difficult path to change. The Me T oo Movement was founded in 20xx by activist and sexual assault survivor Tarana Burke. Burke wanted to provide a place for survivors to tell their stories, for empathy, and for healing. She spent more than a decade persevering and advocating on the behalf of those whose stories are marginalized, or not told at all. Then the idea she started went viral, transforming intoglobal conversation and, we must hope, change. The image of the black hole event horizon presented last month required two years of computer analysis, data from 8 observatories on three continents, and a team of 200 scientists, which included 20xx U-M Electrical Engineering graduate Katie Bouman. We have now seen what had previously been described as un-seeable, and pushed the frontiers of knowledge to the darkest regions of the universe. And during the 20xx midterm election, Tufts University reports that youth turnout increased in every state for which they have data. In 27 states, it rose by double digits.Plus, precincts that serve Big Ten campuses saw their turnout increase by an average of 24 percentage points. This is more than double the increase in nearby areas, indicating that students made their voice heard. Higher turnout was a goal of the Big Ten Voting Challenge. Well done!Choosing to commit to the work needed to make change, and see it through, can produce amazing results – but it can also frustrate.Change doesn’t happen in a straight line. It’s messy. It can take years, or even decades. But when it is founded on principled dedication, collaboration, and hope – all the ingredients are in place. Our campus has wonderful examples.演讲稿英语3Last month we opened our Trotter Multicultural Center on State Street. This inspirational new home devoted to unity, peace and understanding brings together people from all backgrounds, in a building planned and designed in collaboration withstudents. It was an historic change for our campus — and it was made possible by a legacy of student activism. Members of our Black Student Union, past and present, shared their experiences on our campus and their aspirations for a better Michigan. Some are even graduating today. They mobilized their fellow students and called on, and worked with, the university to create the new Trotter. And while our work to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion is far from finished, the University of Michigan is changed for the better.Another member of the Class of 20xx used the power of journalism to create change. In March of 20xx, Kevin Sweitzer wrote an editorial in the Michigan Daily criticizing the name of a house in our West Quad residence hall. Winchell House had been named after a 19th century U-M professor, whose published work supported white supremacy. In 20xx, Kevin submitted a formal request under the process we established to reconsider the names of university spaces. After a review by our prominent committee of historians, humanists, and many other experts, we removed the Winchell name.Kevin is graduating today, from a university changed for the better.CSG President Daniel Greene, who also graduates today, spent much of his time in office advocating for greater affordability, food security, mental health services, and diversity. The results produced by CSG this year include a housing survey, the expansion of a food pantry for students in need, greater mental health awareness, and a plan to help student organizations achieve their full potential.演讲稿英语4As Daniel goes on to Teach for America, he leaves a university that is changed for the better. The changes you have seen on campus and around the globe also provide a roadmap that can serve as a guide to the changes you can create in society.Purposefully contributing to change requires courage, trust, and the willingness to listen and consider many voices. It works best when trust is built by finding common ground, and when we reject the view that it is “us versus them” — that there must be winners and losers. This is how we can overcome the erosion of trust and begin to collaborate to work through differences. It takes courage to open ourselves up to opinions and interpretations we don’t agree with. But it’s also how we learn, sharpen our own arguments, and hone our ability to persuade others.Your time at Michigan has provided a wonderful proving ground to develop your ability to create change. Where else can you seek solutions among such talented scholars, all pursuing knowledge and understanding to advance a quintessentially public mission?U-M is a place where data and evidence matter, where all voices can be heard, and where talented and hard-working students emerge as leaders and best.演讲稿英语5Our passion for change is why we are the nation’s No. 1 public research university. It’s why the discovery process has been a foundational centerpiece of our Michigan DNA for more than 200 years. It’s why we strive, always, to extend our impact beyond the borders of our campus – to the communities we serve, and to the frontiers of human knowledge that now span galaxies. It’s why I hope you are asking, on the day of your graduation, what you can change next. The challenges we face as a society are numerous and complex – from climate change to poverty to conflict between nations. But these and many other challenges can unite us as we strive for change – if we choose the path of courage.Listen to different views.Trust one another.Find common ground. And commit to the discussions and the discoveries that can produce a better world.Class of 20xx, our society is yours to change.Seek out new evidence, develop new methods, and consider many points of view. And choose the path that will make ours a better world – as you Go discover, Go achieve, Go serve, and Go Blue!。

第1篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is a great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is not only relevant to us as young adults but also crucial for the future of our planet. The topic I wish to discuss is "Embracing the Future: The Role of Young Leaders in Shaping a Sustainable World."As we gather here today, the world is facing unprecedented challenges. Climate change, pollution, inequality, and technological advancements are just a few of the issues that demand our attention and action. It is within this context that I believe the role of young leaders becomes paramount. We, as the younger generation, are the inheritors of this world, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it remains a viable and sustainable place for future generations.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. We are the most connected generation in history. With the advent of social media and digital platforms, we have the ability to spread awareness, mobilize our peers, and influence public opinion on a global scale. This connectivity has given us a unique opportunity to amplify our voices and bring about change. We can use this power to raise awareness about environmental issues, promote social justice, and advocate for policies thatprioritize sustainability. One of the most pressing issues we face today is climate change. The effects of global warming are becoming increasingly evident, with extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and loss of biodiversity. As young leaders, we have a responsibility to take action and promote sustainable practices. This can be achieved through various means:1. Education: We must educate ourselves and others about the causes and consequences of climate change. By increasing awareness, we can inspire action and promote informed decision-making.2. Innovation: We have the creativity and drive to develop innovative solutions to combat climate change. This can involve researchingrenewable energy sources, developing sustainable agricultural practices, or creating eco-friendly products.3. Advocacy: We must use our voices to advocate for policies that prioritize sustainability. This includes pressuring governments and corporations to reduce their carbon emissions, invest in renewable energy, and protect natural habitats.Moving beyond climate change, we must also address the issue of inequality. The world is divided by class, race, gender, and socio-economic status. As young leaders, we have the power to bridge these divides and create a more equitable society. Here are a few ways in which we can do so:1. Empowerment: We must work to empower marginalized communities by providing access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. This will help reduce poverty and inequality.2. Inclusive Leadership: We should strive to be inclusive leaders, ensuring that our teams and organizations reflect the diversity of society. This will not only promote innovation but also foster a more just and equitable world.3. Solidarity: We must stand together in solidarity with those who are affected by inequality. By supporting social justice movements and advocating for the rights of all individuals, we can create a more just and equal society. In addition to addressing these critical issues, we must also embrace the opportunities presented by technological advancements. As young leaders, we are well-equipped to navigate the digital landscape and harness technology for the betterment of society. Here are a few ways in which we can do so:1. Digital Literacy: We must ensure that everyone has access to digital literacy training, enabling them to navigate the digital world and participate in the global economy.2. Technology for Good: We can use technology to address social challenges by developing apps and platforms that promote education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.3. Collaboration: We must collaborate with other stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations, to leverage technology for the greater good.As young leaders, we have the potential to shape the future in profound ways. However, it is essential that we do not take this responsibility lightly. We must be proactive, informed, and compassionate. Here are a few tips to help us on our journey:1. Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated on current events, scientific research, and social trends. This will enable you to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to the conversation.2. Lead by Example: Demonstrate sustainable practices in your own life, and encourage others to do the same. This can include reducing your carbon footprint, recycling, and conserving resources.3. Build Networks: Connect with like-minded individuals and organizations to share ideas, resources, and support. This will help you amplify your impact and create a ripple effect of positive change.4. Embrace Failure: Understand that failure is a part of the learning process. Do not be afraid to take risks and learn from your mistakes. In conclusion, as young leaders, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of our world. By addressing the challenges of climate change, inequality, and technological advancements, we can create a sustainable, just, and equitable society. Let us embrace our power, stay informed, and lead with compassion. Together, we can make a difference and leave a lasting legacy.Thank you for your attention, and let us work towards a brighter future.[Applause]第2篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is an honor to stand before you today to address the theme of "Embracing the Future: The Role of Young Minds in Shaping a Sustainable World." As young adults, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in history, where the decisions we make today will have a lasting impact on the planet and its inhabitants for generations to come. The world we live in is rapidly changing. Technological advancements, climate change, and global economic shifts are transforming the landscape of our planet. These changes present both challenges and opportunities, and it is up to us, the younger generation, to rise to the occasion and play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. We are the most innovative, adaptable, and resourceful generation in history. Our minds are unburdened by the constraints of traditional thinking, and we have the potential to imagine and create solutions that were once thought impossible. From renewable energy to sustainable agriculture, fromsocial entrepreneurship to environmental activism, young people have been at the forefront of many groundbreaking initiatives.Consider the story of Greta Thunberg, a young climate activist from Sweden. At just 15 years old, she sparked a global movement by striking from school to demand action on climate change. Her courage and determination have inspired millions of young people around the world to join the fight for a sustainable future. This is just one example of how the power of youth can influence global change. Now, let us explore the challenges we face. The environmental crisis is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned that we must take urgent action to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius to avoid catastrophic consequences. As young adults, we are inheritors of this crisis, and it is our responsibility to take action.Education is key. We must be well-informed about the issues at hand and understand the science behind climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. By equipping ourselves with knowledge, we can become informed advocates for change and inspire others to do the same.Innovation is another crucial aspect of our role. We must embrace new technologies and approaches that can help us reduce our ecological footprint and create a more sustainable world. Renewable energy, clean transportation, and sustainable urban planning are just a few examples of the innovative solutions that young people can drive forward.Collaboration is also essential. No single individual or organization can solve the complex problems we face alone. We must work together across borders, cultures, and disciplines to share knowledge, resources, and ideas. By fostering a sense of global citizenship, we can create a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.Furthermore, we must not underestimate the power of advocacy. Young people have the ability to raise awareness and influence public opinion. By using social media, attending protests, and engaging in dialogue with policymakers, we can amplify our voices and push for the changes we want to see.Let us also remember the importance of personal responsibility. As individuals, we can make small changes in our daily lives thatcontribute to a larger movement. This includes reducing our consumption, recycling, and supporting sustainable businesses. Every action, no matter how small, has the potential to create a ripple effect ofpositive change. In conclusion, the future of our planet lies in the hands of young people. We have the potential to be the leaders, innovators, and change-makers that the world needs. By embracing the challenges ahead, we can create a sustainable world that is equitable, prosperous, and resilient. Here are some key points to remember:1. The power of youth: We are innovative, adaptable, and resourceful.2. The challenges we face: Environmental crisis, climate change, and resource depletion.3. Education: We must be well-informed about the issues at hand.4. Innovation: We must embrace new technologies and approaches.5. Collaboration: We must work together across borders and disciplines.6. Advocacy: We must raise awareness and influence public opinion.7. Personal responsibility: We must make small changes in our daily lives.Ladies and gentlemen, the future is not a distant dream; it is a reality that we are shaping right now. Let us rise to the occasion and become the leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can create a sustainable worldthat is worth inheriting.Thank you.第3篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is a great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is not only crucial to our generation but to the future of humanity – embracing the future and the role of young minds in shaping a sustainable world. As we navigate through the complexities of the 21st century, it is clear that the challenges we face are unprecedented. Climate change, economic inequality, political tensions, and technological advancements are just a few of the issues that demand our immediate attention. However, amidst these challenges lies an incredible opportunity: the potential for young people to lead the charge in creating a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. Young people are the most connected, innovative, and adaptable generation in history. With access to information, technology, and global networks, we have thetools to address the world's most pressing issues. Our energy, passion, and idealism are the driving forces behind social movements, technological breakthroughs, and cultural shifts. But what exactly does it mean to embrace the future, and how can we, as young minds, play a pivotal role in shaping it?1. Education and Knowledge:The foundation of any sustainable future lies in education. We must prioritize a comprehensive education system that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of our planet. By equipping ourselves with knowledge, we can better comprehend the challenges we face and contribute meaningful solutions.2. Environmental Stewardship:Climate change is perhaps the most pressing issue of our time. As young people, we have a responsibility to advocate for sustainable practices, promote renewable energy, and protect our natural resources. By taking action in our communities, we can inspire others to join the cause and drive systemic change.3. Social Innovation:The world is in dire need of innovative solutions to address social inequalities. Young entrepreneurs, activists, and leaders are at the forefront of creating sustainable businesses, non-profit organizations, and social enterprises that address the needs of marginalized communities. By leveraging our creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, we can build a more inclusive and equitable society.4. Global Citizenship:In an increasingly interconnected world, it is crucial for us to embrace our role as global citizens. We must learn to understand and appreciate different cultures, languages, and perspectives. By fostering a sense of empathy and cooperation, we can bridge divides and build a more peaceful and harmonious world.5. Leadership and Advocacy:Young people have the power to influence change. By taking on leadership roles in our communities, we can inspire others to take action and hold our leaders accountable. Through advocacy and activism, we can push for policies that promote sustainability, equality, and justice. In conclusion, embracing the future means taking responsibility for the world we want to live in. As young minds, we have the potential to lead the charge in creating a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world. By focusing on education, environmental stewardship, social innovation, global citizenship, and leadership, we can make a tangible impact on the challenges we face.Let us not underestimate the power of our collective voice and actions. Together, we can build a future that is bright, hopeful, and full of possibilities. It is time for us to step up, take charge, and shape the world we want to see.Thank you.。

大学生英文演讲稿1Good afternoon everybody! It's my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.I thank you!大学生英文演讲稿2Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2015 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For ex ample, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others. At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.大学生英文演讲稿36am when I put on this ZARA dress, I found its label writes this: “Designed in Spain. Made in Vietnam.” And it is now available all over the Chinese market. ZARA is the fastest amongvarious fashion brands. With advantages generated by globalization, from raw material to labor, from warehouse to shipping, it takes only 12 to 15 days for ZARA to turn a design on sketch paper to clothes on shelves.Globalization has eliminated numerous barriers and made the world flat ever since it gained momentum in the 1990s. But recently it seems to be rolled back by someone like Donald Trump in US and Marine Le Pen in France. Public opinions are being misled by their claim that recoiling from globalization seems to be the panacea to the two most urgent problems troubling many people in the west—employment and refugees. But can we buy the story?Withdrawing from TPP seems to be an act that can move factories back from third world countries so that new jobs can be created and therefore unemployment rate reduced. However, the cost of the products would also be raised since the labor at home and the transport of raw materials are more expensive, which causes greater pressure on all the families in terms of household expenditure. People may manage to get new jobs but the living standard does not improve. And this is the story that anti-globalization politicians would never tell to the voters. In addition to the concern of employment, the influx of refugees also touches a highly sensitive nerve. Rejecting asylum seekers may promote domestic security in the short run, but it tramples what’s equally important--humanitarianism and responsibilities. Refugees such as those from Syria are not born refugees; they are made refugees by the Wars that shattered their homes and countries. The real solution therefore is not isolation but globalization because globalization promotes interdependence among nations whereby conflicts and wars aremore likely to be prevented.Yes, there are defects in globalization, such as environmental deterioration, polarization between the rich and the poor, and exploitation of workers, to name just a few. But what we need to do is not putting an end to it but putting it right. As the second largest economy of the world, China should hold a lead. We should promote global governance fight against contamination. We should strike a balance between efficiency and equity so that different countries, different social classes and different groups of people can all enjoy the benefits of globalization.Globalization has just stepped into its twenties, pretty much like us young adults. Every twenty something is so energetic, striding to achieve more and surely deserving a second chance to pull back from the deviation. As we consumers are enjoying benefits and convenience brought by ZARA and other international brands, we see clearer that the question now is not whether to accept or reject globalization but how to make it fairer, cleaner and a win-win for all.大学生英文演讲稿4Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen,Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping optimistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.”Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank you!大学生英文演讲稿5Failure is what often happens.it is everywhere in your life.students may fail in exams, science may fail in their researchwork, and athletes may fail in competitions.although failure happens to everyone, attitudes towards failure are various. some people don't think their failure is a very important thing at all. so they pay no attention to it. as a result, they will have the same failure a previously later.they spend their thime and energy on useless things and they may really be fools as they have thought.Success is not easy to talk about because the word success it-self has hundreds of definitions. For some it means power, forsome it means wealth, for others it is fame or great achieve-ments. But I have my own understanding of it.Success means to try your best. Many people believe that success means to win. In my opin-ion, it means to try your best when you do everything, no matter you will win or not. When you are taking part in a long-distance race, if you keep on running as fast as you can, you are successful, although you may be the last to pass the finishing-line. Because you have showed your best to others, and you have made I your greatest effort to be the winner.Success means to work hard.No one can succeed without any hard work. Karl Max was successful, because he spent more than 30 years writing the book "Communist Manifesto"; Tomas Edison succeeded, because he had experimented thousands of times to find the best material for lights. Every success calls for hard work. If you want to suc-ceed, work hard first.other people are quite different from the two kinds of people mentiond above. instend of being distressed and lost, they draw a lesson from every failure and become more experienced. after hard work, they will be successful in the end. It is said that failure is the mother of success. success will be gained after times of failures so long as we are good at drawong lesson from our failures.in my opinion , failure is not a bad thing , the really bad thing is taking a failure as failure or even lose our heart after failure.More importantly, today, the world is undergoing fast rhythm of changing, some issues occur in one way this time and reoccur in another way that time.Such instability and inconstancy make many long-time-lasting conventions and traditions notvalid any longer. People encounter pile of new conditions everyday in current society, it is hard to find adequate reference from the wisdom of conventions for all of these new thing, what can really lead people to success is rational mind and creative ways of thinking. T o meet the requirement of new missions, only creative activities could give out adaptive strategies. Without creative thinking ways, there would no such increasingly development of science and technology in the past two centuries, no new type America-style democracy in the world, no so many products making modern life so comfortable and convenient. Creative practices and original idea are the engine of the fast development of modern life, and are most essential for people to accomplish successful achievement in all kinds of fields.。

honorable judges, fellow students:recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds?will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept there sponsibility of building the future of our country?the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong.we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood typetested in order to make a contributionfor the children who suffer from blood cancer.as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of ourcountry. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.

Thank you!Chief Justice Rehnquist, president Carter, president Bush, president Clinton, distinguished guests and my fellow citizens, the peaceful transfer of authority is rare in history, yet common in our country. With a simple oath, we affirm old traditions and make new beginnings. As I begin, I thank president Clinton for his service to our nation. And I thank Vice president Gore for a contest conducted with spirit and ended with grace.I am honored and humbled to stand here, where so many of America's leaders have come before me, and so many will follow. We have a place, all of us, in a long story -- a story we continue, but whose end we will not see. It is the story of a new world that became a friend and liberator of the old, a story of a slave-holding society that became a servant of freedom, the story of a power that went into the world to protect but not possess, to defend but not to conquer. It is the American story -- a story of flawed and fallible people, united across the generations by grand and enduring ideals. The grandest of these ideals is an unfolding American promise that everyone belongs, that everyone deserves a chance, that no insignificant person was ever born.Americans are called to enact this promise in our lives and in our laws. And though our nation has sometimes halted, and sometimes delayed, we must follow no other course.Through much of the last century, America's faith in freedom and democracy was a rock in a raging sea. Now it is a seed upon the wind, taking root in many nations. Our democratic faith is more than the creed of our country, it is the inborn hope of our humanity, an ideal we carry but do not own, a trust we bear and pass along. And even after nearly 225 years, we have a long way yet to travel. While many of our citizens prosper, others doubt the promise, even the justice, of our own country. The ambitions of some Americans are limited by failing schools and hidden prejudice and the circumstances of their birth. And sometimes our differences run so deep, it seems we share a continent, but not a country. We do not accept this, and we will not allow it. Our unity, our union, is the serious work of leaders and citizens in every generation. And this is my solemnpledge: I will work to build a single nation of justice and opportunity.I know this is in our reach because we are guided by a power largerthan our selves who creates us equal in His image. And we are confident in principles that unite and lead us onward.America has never been united by blood or birth or soil. We are bound by ideals that move us beyond our backgrounds, lift us above our interests and teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these principles. Every citizen must uphold them. And every immigrant, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American.Today, we affirm a new commitment to live out our nation's promise through civility, courage, compassion and character.America, at its best, matches a commitment to principle with a concern for civility. A civil society demands from each of us good will and respect, fair dealing and forgiveness. Some seem to believe that our politics can afford to be petty because, in a time of peace, the stakes of our debates appear small. But the stakes for America are never small. If our country does not lead the cause of freedom, it will not be led. If we do not turn the hearts of children toward knowledge and character, we will lose their gifts and undermine their idealism. If we permit our economy to drift and decline, the vulnerable will suffer most.We must live up to the calling we share. Civility is not a tactic or a sentiment. It is the determined choice of trust over cynicism, of community over chaos. And this commitment, if we keep it, is a way to shared accomplishment.America, at its best, is also courageous. Our national courage has been clear in times of depression and war, when defending common dangers defined our common good. Now we must choose if the example of our fathers and mothers will inspire us or condemn us. We must show courage in a time of blessing by confronting problems instead of passing them on to future generations.Together, we will reclaim America's schools, before ignorance and apathy claim more young lives. We will reform Social Security and Medicare, sparing our children from struggles we have the power to prevent. And we will reduce taxes, to recover the momentum of our economy and reward the effort and enterprise of working Americans. We will build our defenses beyond challenge, lest weakness invite challenge. We will confront weapons of mass destruction, so that a new century is spared new horrors. The enemies of liberty and our country should make no mistake: America remains engaged in the world by history and by choice, shaping a balance of power thatf avors freedom. We will defend our allies and our interests. We will show purpose without arrogance. We will meet aggression and bad faith with resolve and strength. And to all nations, we will speak for the values that gave our nation birth.America, at its best, is compassionate. In the quiet of Americanconscience, we know that deep, persistent poverty is unworthy of our nation's promise. And whatever our views of its cause, we can agree that children at risk are not at fault. Abandonment and abuse are not acts of God, they are failures of love. And the proliferation of prisons, however necessary, is no substitute for hope and order in our souls.Where there is suffering, there is duty. Americans in need are not strangers, they are citizens, not problems, but priorities. And all of us are diminished when any are hopeless.Government has great responsibilities for public safety and public health, for civil rights and common schools. Yet compassion is the work of a nation, not just a government. And some needs and hurts are so deep they will only respond to a mentor's touch or a pastor's prayer. Church and charity, synagogue and mosque lend our communities their humanity, and they will have an honored place in our plans and in our laws. Many in our country do not know the pain of poverty, but we can listen to those who do.And I can pledge our nation to a goal: When we see that wounded traveler onthe road to Jericho, we will not pass to the other side.America, at its best, is a place where personal responsibility is valued andexpected.Encouraging responsibility is not a search for scapegoats, it is a call to conscience. And though it requires sacrifice, it brings a deeper fulfillment. We find the fullness of life not only in options, but in commitments. And we find that children and community are the commitments that set us free. Our public interest depends on private character, on civic duty and family bonds and basic fairness, on uncounted, unhonored acts of decency which give direction to our freedom.Sometimes in life we are called to do great things. But as a saint of our times has said, every day we are called to do small things with great love. The most important tasks of a democracy are done by everyone.I will live and lead by these principles: to advance my convictions with civility, to pursue the public interest with courage, to speak for greater justice and compassion, to call for responsibility and try to live it as well.In all these ways, I will bring the values of our history to the care of ourtimes. What you do is as important as anything government does. I ask you to seek a common good beyond your comfort; to defend needed reforms against easy attacks; to serve your nation, beginning with your neighbor. I ask you to be citizens: citizens, not spectators;citizens, not subjects; responsible citizens, building communities of service and a nation of character.Americans are generous and strong and decent, not because we believe in ourselves, but because we hold beliefs beyond ourselves. When this spirit of citizenship is missing, no government program can replace it. When this spirit is present, no wrong can stand against it.After the Declaration of Independence was signed, Virginia statesman John page wrote to Thomas Jefferson: "We know the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Do you not think an angel rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm?"Much time has passed since Jefferson arrived for his inauguration. The yearsand changes accumulate. But the themes of this day he would know: our nation's grand story of courage and its simple dream of dignity. We are not this story's author, who fills time and eternity with his purpose. Yet his purpose is achieved in our duty, and our duty is fulfilled in service to one another.Never tiring, never yielding, never finishing, we renew that purpose today, to make our country more just and generous, to affirm the dignity of our lives and every life. This work continues. This story goes on. And an angel still rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm.God bless you all, and God bless America.美是什么?不同的人有不同的定义。
