The Olympic Torch
• The colour of torch is gold;it represents the qualities of the Olympic Flame – the brightness and the warmth of the light that it shines. It was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
Wenlock, named after the Shropshire town of Much Wenlock(马奇文洛克的 施罗普希尔村） that helped inspire Pierre de Coubertin (顾拜旦） to launch the modern Olympics.
• Mandeville, inspired by the Buckinghamshire town of Stoke Mandeville(斯托克曼 德维尔) where the Paralympics were founded.
