HISTORY
The Chinese were already familiar with the techniques of wall-building by the time of the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States Period from the 5th century BC to 221 BC, the states of Qin, Wei, Zhao, Qi and Yan all constructed extensive fortifications to defend their own borders. Qin Shi Huang conquered all opposing states and unified China in 221 BC, establishing the Qin Dynasty. To protect the empire against intrusions by the Xiongnu people from the north, he ordered the building of a new wall to connect the remaining fortifications along the empire's new northern frontier. Later, the Han, Sui and Jin dynasties all repaired, rebuilt, or expanded sections of the Great Wall at great cost to defend themselves against northern invaders. Towards the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Great Wall helped defend the empire against the Manchu invasions. However, when the gates at Shanhaiguan were opened by Wu Sangui, the Manchus quickly seized Beijing and established the Qing Dynasty. Under Qing rule, China's borders extended beyond the walls and Mongolia was annexed into the empire, so construction and repairs on the Great Wall were discontinued. 后来的长城由汉，隋和晋朝以极大的代价来修理，改建或是扩建长城以 捍卫自己免于北方的侵略。在15世纪40-60年代，明朝修建了所谓的“辽 东长城”。明朝末年，长城抵御了满清帝国入侵。然而，当山海关隘口 被吴三桂打开后，满族人迅速占领了北京，建立了清朝。在清朝统治下， 中国的边界一直延伸到长城之外和蒙古，所以建造和维修长城的工事被 停止。

Situated in the southern part of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, Lushan Mountain is on the bank of Poyang Lake. It is one of China's famous mountains and covers an area of 300 square kilometers. It was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1996. The mountain is a well－known scenic area， summer resort and sanitaria. There are imposing and magnificent peaks， unique waterfalls， and historical sites as well as a changing sea of clouds and a warm and comfortable climate.
This is the palace museum; also know as the Purple Forbidden City. It is the largest and most well reserved imperial residence in China today. Beijing Forbidden City is t he head of the world's top five palace. The Forbidden City was built begin in 1406 a nd it took 14 years to built it. The first ruler who actually lived here was Ming Empe ror Zhudi. North to south is 961 meters, and 753 meters from east to west. And th e area of about 725,000 square meters. The Imperial Palace has 8704 rooms. In 19 87 the Forbidden City was recognized a world cultural legacy. 这是故宫博物院，也被称为紫禁城。它是北京现在最大、保存最完好的宫殿。北京故宫是 世界五大宫殿之首。紫禁城建于1906年，历时14年建造完成。第一个明朝统治者朱棣便住 在这里。故宫南北长961米，东西宽753米，建地面积725,000平方米。宫殿共有8704个房 间。在1987年紫禁城成为世界文化遗产。

The three waterfalls is located in the famous scenic area in Jiangxi Province, the Mount Lu scenic area, the total area of 16.5 square kilometers, the mountain high and steep, deep valleys. Mount Lu is located in the south-east, 24 kilometers away from Jiujiang City, was named for its famous scenic spots "one of four national famous waterfalls" -- the three waterfall. The forest coverage rate reached 89.9%, a round of Cryptomeria fortunei, Alstonia scholaris, Du, 2331 plants and 200 kinds of animal. 三叠泉风景区位于江西省著名风景区庐山风景区中，总面 积16.5平方公里，山峰高峻，峡谷幽深。位于庐山东南，距九江 市区24公里，因其著名景点“全国四大名瀑之一”——三叠泉 瀑布而得名。森林覆盖率达89.9%，有圆头柳杉、灯台树、杜种 等2331种植物和动物200多种。

The Great Wall runs across North China like a huge dragon, It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It's the longest wall on the earth, also one of the wonders in the world. The Great Wall has a history of more than 2000 years. The first part was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. All the walls were joined up in Qin Dynasty.All tile work was done by hand. Thousands of people died while building the wall.Thus the Great Wall came into existence. 长城，像一条巨龙横亘华北地区，它穿过沙漠，越过高山，跨过山 谷，由西到东蜿蜒曲折，最后到达大海。它是地球上最长的墙，也 是世界奇迹之子。 长城有2000多年的历史。它开始修建于春秋时期。秦朝时，所有的 城墙联结在一起。所有工作都是用手完成的，成千上万的人在修建 长城时死去。长城就是这样出现的。
