英语a级常见的作文题型写作是考试的最后一部分，试题由A、B两节组成，主要考查的是考生的书面表达能力。

二、写作题型分析英语短文写作分为两部分，第一部分是根据情景提示写出信件、便笺；第二部分是根据图表、图片、文字提示写出相应作文。
常见的写作题型有段首句提示作文，关键词提示作文，图表、图片提示作文等。

考生既要具有较强的语言表达能力，又要有一定的观察分析能力和一定的想象能力及逻辑思维能力。
具体方法如下：1、弄清作文标题和要求。
2、分析画面，看明图意。
一幅画有一个构思，能给人丰富的视觉效果和无限的想象空间。
对画面的环境、人物、事物间的关系有一个全面了解，吃透其主题，说明画面的含义。
3、观察画面，理解表达的含义，提炼作文中心。
画面是静止的，考生应以画面为基础，体会画面的要旨，围绕主题发挥联想，把画面的前因后果、来龙去脉补上去，把事件串联起来，从而清楚地说明图画的含义。
4、处理好画与文的关系。
对画面上的细节不能事无巨细一一描述，应分清主次，对主要内容加以充分叙述或说明，次要内容则一笔带过或略去。
5、先纲后文。
看图作文的写作方式常采用叙述与描写相结合，也常以解释说明为主。
按先后顺序列出短文的提纲，再按纲组织写作，将图画所表达的意思用文字写出来。
（四）图表作文图表作文是根据图表提供的数字或文字等信息转换成文字资料。
它通常属于说明文。
图表通常指表格、棒形图、线形图、圆形图、树形图等。
图表作文写作时，首先应对图表进行仔细认真的分析，弄清图表中所含信息及其不同信息间的关系，并由此确定文章的主题；然后按试题要求对图表进行描述，说明图表中反映的情况或对图表里显示的关系进行对比分析并做解释说明；最后在文章的结尾得出合乎情理的结论，阐明自己的看法。
此外还要注意：应对图表中的信息有所选择，抓住其中有代表性规律性的典型数据；要看出总的趋势，归纳增减速率；注意动词时态，多用一般现在时，如有参照时态则按参照时态描述。
各类图表作文写作应注意事项：1.表格要准确理解表格所含的信息，必须做到以下几点：（1）认真阅读表格上面或下面的标题。
（2）认真阅读每栏上面或左右的小标题。
（3）认真阅读表格下面或两边提供的说明。
（4）从上到下或从左到右认真阅读表内提供的信息，逐项比较，了解表格的设计意图与所含内容。
（5）特别注意使用的计量单位，有时一个表中可能使用一个以上的计量单位，尤其是million和billion最易混淆。
