哥本哈根市中心往南有一个新兴发展地区叫 “restad”，坐落在本中心的“8House”（又叫 “8Tallet”）正在成为改变人类居住史的一个项目。 它是一个非常先迚的公寓联合体，在自身内部就可以 形成一个完整的邻里共生关系。“8House”公寓区 拥有令城区居民艳羡的视野：哥本哈根运河尽入眼底， Amager岛也近在咫尺 。 这个公寓联合体由“BIG”建筑事务所承建。 “8House”的名字部分来源于主体建筑酷似阿拉伯 数字“8”的形状。除了视觉上相当有趣，采取这种 造型还有功能上的考虑：建筑的各个方位高度不一致， 因此而形成的倾斜造型有利于光线和空气自由迚入建 筑中间的庭院（即“8”字的两个圆圈内的区域）。

建筑的三套居住方案包括：各类面积的公寓、阁楼以及联立住宅。
联立住宅提供一种开放式居住形式，因其设计所融合的乡间恬静风格和都市动感韵律，特别适合现代家庭居住，无论是单身人士还是情侣夫妇都会对公寓产生几分好感。
而对于追求全方位生活体验的居住者来说，阁楼住宅更是一览运河及南哥本哈根美景的娱乐平台。
林林总总的居住方案由楼体外部立面将其整合统一，令探索于其中成为了趣味横生的美妙体验，推动社区居住生活更加欣欣向荣。
该设计的灵感部分源自经典的联立式宅邸，同时还吸收了实用主义建筑的开放化、平民化等特征。
楼体建筑设计狭长连贯，高低反差明显，这样，不单采光良好，而且点缀其间的小型花园和小径景观更为社区增添了别样的魅力，让人联想起南欧的群山，重拾童年家乡的回忆。
弧形的楼梯造型产生的空间由弧线中央一分为二，其间为500m 2的公共设施区。
一条9m 宽的过道贯穿弧线中央，连接两侧环形区域：过道以西为公园，以东为运河水域。
