精选全文完整版(可编辑修改)8-11 Stinky StreetWritten by Helena Pielichaty and illustrated by Mike Phillips 1.Franklin has a problemHouses are very different. Some are huge and have gold swimming pools. Pop stars live in those. Some are in rows with a brick wall at one end and overlook a pie factory. Franklin Gates lives in one of those. Number three, Stanley Street, to be exact. Some people might think, “I want a house with a swimming pool. “But not Franklin. He loved living on Stanley Street. Everyone was friendly. All his mates were there and the smells from the pie factory...mmm, delicious! There was just one problem. Franklin ’mum and dad wanted to move. His mum was expecting twins and they needed another bedroom."I don't mind sharing mine, “Franklin sa id."Babies cry all night.""I'll wear earplugs."But his parents wouldn't listen."This house is TOO small, “said his mum.Next day, there was a “for Sale “sign stuck by Franklin's door.Franklin and his best friend Josh stared at the words of doom."What am I going to do,Josh?"said Franklin.Josh frowned. “Has your house got problems?Number forty's got problems and no one wants to buy it."Franklin stared at number forty. It looked all right to him."What kind of problems?"he asked."Oh,mice and damp and really horrible wallpaperFranklin sighed. His house was warm and friendly and it had just been painted, worse luck.Mrs cox lived next door to Franklin in a little house that had once been the corner shop.Just then, she called out,"Hello, lads. Will you take..."Before she could finish, her dog Zack leaped out of her house. He jumped up at the boys, trying to lick their faces."Yuk!Down,Zack!"Josh giggled.Mrs Cox told Zack to get down."He hasn't been out all day.I've been a bit wobbly,"she said, tapping her legs."No worries,"Franklin smiled. He didn't mind taking Zack anywhere. He loved him to bits."I'm sorry you're moving,"Mrs. Cox said."So am I,"Franklin grumbled.Mrs. Cox patted Franklin on the arm."Never mind.Your house might take months to sell."For a week,it looked as if Mrs Cox was right.Only a few people came to look at the house and none of them wanted to buy it.Franklin's mum stroked her growing tummy and looked fed up.Upstairs,Franklin danced around with his underpants on his head in celebration.Maybe he was safe.Maybe no one wouldbuy his house. But a few days later_it must have been Thursday, because the smells from the pie factory were chicken and rhubarb Franklin came home from school to find a man in the kitchen. His name was Mr Bragg and was interested in buying the house.Mr Bragg wasn't interested in Franklin. He glared at Franklin and trod on his toes, without saying sorry.Franklin's heart sank when Mr Bragg said he wanted to come back for a second visit."Saturday morning, ten o'clock sharp,"he said.2 Franklin makes a planThat night,Franklin had a bad dream.Mr Bragg was sniggering at him,"You wait and see, boy.I'm going to have your house!"Then Franklin woke up."No,you won't,you tatty toe-cruncher! “he said angrily. At school,Franklin asked Josh what he was doing on Saturday.Josh shrugged. “Nothing much.""Does your big sister still work in the fish shop?"asked Franklin.Josh nodded."Good.Listen,I've got a job for you..."Franklin cupped his hand over Josh's ear and began whispering his plan. When Josh heard what Franklin wanted, his mouth opened wide enough to swallow a dentist. "I can't do that!"he cried."I'll get into trouble!""You have to!It's my only chance,"Franklin begged. In the end,Josh nodded. He wasn't happy, but he agreed to do what Franklin wanted.3 Something is fishyOn Saturday morning,Franklin's mum was in a flap. "Something smells horrible and I don't know what it is,"she said. She looked around in a panic."Your dad's outside checking the drains."Franklin smiled. He know what the smell was!Mr. and Mrs. Gates were still outside when Mr. Bragg rang the doorbell. Franklin let him into the houseMr Bragg stopped and sniffed the air."Ugh,what's that disgusting smell?"he asked."It's Saturday. The factory does fish pie on Saturdays,"Franklin said.Mr Bragg frowned. “Isn’t the factory shut on Saturdays?""No.Fish every Saturday. That's why we call this Stinky Street.D'you want to see my bedroom?"Upstairs,Franklin opened his bedroom door.Mr Bragg pointed to a huge, dark patch on the wall."What's that?"he asked. "Damp,"Franklin said."Mum made me cover it with a poster last time.""Hmm,"Mr Bragg snorted."Mind the mouse poo,"Franklin grinned, pointing to a pile of brown lumps."It gets stuck in the carpet.""Urgh!"Mr Bragg pulled a face."That's nothing,"smiled Franklin."Wait till you see what the rats do."At that moment, his mum arrived,"Hello,"she smiled."How's it doing?""Your son was telling me about the rats,"Mr Bragg said, icily."Rats? What rats...""Oh,no!"Franklin yelled, pointing out of the window."What is it?"asked Mr Bragg."That horrible Josh Barratt's coming!Quick!Hide!'yelled Franklin."Hide from Josh?Don't be silly,"Franklin's mum said. But Franklin ducked behind his curtains."Josh is a lovely boy!"Franklin's mum said, amazed. But Josh banged on the front door.He shouted football songs. He even burped through the letterbox."Why you little..."Mr. Bragg gasped as Josh ran off."Er...would you like to see the bathroom?"Mrs Gates asked, but Mr Bragg shocked his head."You're joking.I'm not staying here another minute."He ran downstairs and out of the door.4 Mrs Cox joins inMr and Mrs Gates were very angry."You'd better explain what’s going on!"they told Franklin."Er...well...I-"Just then, there was a loud banging."It's coming from Mrs. Cox's house,"Franklin’s mum said, glaring at her son."Fancy getting an old lady mixed up in this!""I didn't,"Franklin cried."I really didn't!"The banging grew louder and louder. Then Zack started barking.Something was very wrong.Mr. abd Mrs. Gates and Franklin dashed into Mrs. Cox's house. She was lying by her stairs, where she had tripped.Franklin helped his dad lift her carefully onto a chair.Mr Gates wanted to take her to hospital but Mrs. Cox wouuldn't go."I'm not leaving Zack," she said.So they rang her son Eric, and he came to help her.Mrs Cox was still in big trouble. He ran back home and took the fish out of the back of the radiator.(Josh's sister had given it to him.)He vacuumed up the chocolate drops on the carpet in his bedroom. Then he dried the lemonade on his bedroom wall.He said sorry to Josh for getting him into trouble, too. At last,he said sorry to his mum and dad.His mum was very upset."We know you love Stanley Street. We all do-""-But there won't be space for all of us,when the twins arrive,"his dad said firmly."We have got to move to a bigger house.""I know,"Franklin said, sadly.Weeks passed but no one came to look at the house.Winter was coming and Franklin began to feel hospital.Nobodywanted to move in winter, did they? But one day,Franklin came home from school to find creepy Mr Bragg in the kitchen again. He'd found out about Franklin's tricks and he still wanted their house."Those Gates have got to move,"Mr Bragg said to himself."I'll get their house cheap!"He smiled slyly and gave Franklin's mum a piece of paper with a price on it.It was a very low price."Let me know tomorrow if I can buy it,"Mr Bragg smirked."Make up your mind.No one else wants it.""We'll think about it,"Mrs Gates said, going pale."Do we have to sell to HIM?"Franklin cried as soon as he'd gone."I expect so,"said his mum.Franklin was furious. How could his mum and dad sell to Mr Bragg?Even the delicious smell of lamb and bananas coming from the pie factory didn't help."I'm going to take Zack for a run,"Franklin said."A long run.To Scotland.""Oh,dear."said his mum.Mrs Cox took ages to answer the door. She was even slower on her feet since her fall.‘I was coming round to your house!”Mre Cox beamed.’Is your mum in? I’ve got something to ask her.’‘Yes,’ said Franklin. He wasTrying to stop being licked to bits by Zack.‘Bring him back by tea time ,’. Mrs Cox called as he set off with the dog.‘ I will ‘ Franklin said.‘I was talking to Zack’,Mrs Cox joked. When Franklin came back, Mrs Cox was just leaving his house. ‘How was Scotland? ‘she joked."Cold, “said Franklin, crossly.Mrs Cox laughed as if he'd cracked the funniest joke ever."You'd better get inside and warm up,then,"she toldhim, grinning.Franklin felt grumpy."I don't know why Mrs Cox thinks moving house is so funny..."He stopped. His mum was dancing round the room with-yes-underpants on her head!"What's going on?"he asked."Wait and see!"she laughted. It was Christmas time in Stanley Street. There was no "For Sale"sign outside Franklin's house.Instead, there were piles of bricks and cement from the builders."That was a great idea of Mrs Cox's,"Josh said."You bought her house and knocked both of your houses together-""-So we had one big house,"grinned Franklin."Then the old corner shop downstairs was made into a little flat for Mrs Cox and Zack. Now you get lots of bedrooms upstairs...""...and Mrs Cox and Zack get a safe place downstairs.""So everybody's happy.""Except Mr. Bragg, “Franklin grinned. “He’s bought number forty!"8-11臭街 Stinky Street 翻译1. 富兰克林有一个问题这儿的房子都各不相同。

写八个家庭成员在干什么的英语作文
写八个家庭成员在干什么的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big, Fun FamilyMy name is Jamie and I have a really big family. We are eight people living together in one house! It's a lot of people but I love having such a huge family. Every day there is always something fun and exciting going on at my place.Let me tell you about each member of my family and what they like to do:First, there's my mom. Her name is Sarah and she is a teacher at the local elementary school. In the mornings before work, she likes to go for a jog around the neighborhood. After her run, she makes a healthy breakfast for all of us like oatmeal or eggs. Mom really loves being a teacher and helping kids learn new things. She is very patient and caring.Next is my dad, Mike. He works at a big office downtown as an accountant. Even though his job seems kind of boring with all those numbers, he actually has a great sense of humor. He'salways telling cheesy jokes that make us all groan but then laugh. On weekends, Dad enjoys working out in the garage fixing things like our bikes or the lawnmower. The oldest of us kids is my brother Ryan. He is 16 and a total brainiac. Ryan loves anything to do with science, computers or math. You can usually find him typing away at his computer, building robots or coding new apps and programs. Sometimes he talks about becoming an engineer or computer programmer when he grows up.After Ryan is my sister Jessica who is 14. She is pretty much the opposite of our brainy brother! Jessica is a social butterfly who loves being around her friends as much as possible. Her room is plastered with posters of her favorite singers and boy bands. She is always listening to music, talking on the phone or posting on her social media accounts. I think Jessica wants to be a famous singer, model or actress someday. Then there is me, Jamie, and I'm 10 years old. My favorite things are playing sports like basketball and soccer, reading comic books and adventures stories, and hanging out with my best friend Tony from down the street. We are both obsessed with superhero movies! When I grow up, I want to be either a professional athlete or maybe a comic book illustrator. My little brother Mason is 8 years old. He is a total ball of energy and never stops moving or talking! Mason's biggest hobbies are playing video games, watching silly YouTube videos, and playing fun pranks on the rest of the family like putting salt in someone's drink. We all have to keep an eye on that little prankster. The youngest two members of my family are the twins, Caleb and Chloe, who are 5 years old. Those two cuties are always together and love dressing up in crazy costumes while they use their vivid imaginations to go on make-believe adventures. One minute they are explorers trekking through the jungle, and the next they are princess and knights fighting dragons! They never run out of new games and fantasies to act out. There is never a dull moment in my giant household! Between mom teaching, dad working on home projects, Ryan programming, Jessica talking with friends, me playing outside, Mason pranking everyone, and the twins unleashing their creativity, there is always a flurry of different activities and noises. Our house is a cheerful, lively place full of people following their passions and interests. While having so many family members means we have to share everything from bathrooms to the TV, I wouldn't want itany other way. I love being surrounded by all my silly siblings, doting parents and their hobbies. My big, fun family may be a rambunctious bunch, but we all deeply care for each other. Our chaotic home is brimming with love, laughter and tons of personality. I feel extremely lucky and hope our family stays this wonderfully big, exciting and close forever.篇2My Big, Busy FamilyMy family is huge! We have eight people living in our house - my mom, my dad, my grandma, my grandpa, my two aunts, my uncle, and me. Our home is always buzzing with activity because everyone is doing something different. Let me tell you about what each person in my family is up to lately.First, there's my mom. She's a nurse at the big hospital downtown. Every morning before the sun comes up, she's already awake making breakfast and getting ready for her day. She packs a healthy lunch and a snack to eat during her shift. My mom works such long hours at the hospital, but she loves taking care of people when they're sick or hurt. When she gets home at night, she's often tired, but she still finds time to make us a yummy dinner. My dad works really hard too as a construction worker. He leaves the house super early and doesn't get back until late afternoon. Dad has to operate those huge machines and power tools to build houses, roads, and buildings. It's physical labor out in the heat or cold all day long. Dad says his job can be tough, but he likes working with his hands to create things. I think it's cool that he's strong enough to lift huge cement blocks! At home, Dad is the family's fix-it man who takes care of any repairs we need. Then there's my grandma who lives with us too. She's recently retired from her job as an elementary school teacher. Grandma was a teacher for over 30 years! Now that she's retired, she spends her days cooking, baking, knitting, reading, and watching her favorite game shows on TV. Grandma makes the most delicious homemade meals - her chicken noodle soup is the best when you're feeling sick. She's always stitching up new creations on her knitting needles too, like warm scarves and blankets for everyone. I love hearing stories from when Grandma was a young teacher. My grandpa is retired as well after working for decades at the local factory. He's a bit quieter than Grandma, but is always keeping himself busy around the house. Grandpa does a lot ofthe yard work and home repairs. You can often find him outside mowing the lawn, pulling weeds from the garden, fixing a creaky door, or painting a room a fresh new color. Grandpa also loves watching sports, especially baseball games, and playing chess with me. He taught me all the strategies and tricks! Two of my aunts live with us as well - Zia Angela and Zia Maria. They are twin sisters who share a bedroom. Zia Angela is a hairstylist at a fancy salon downtown. She comes home every evening smelling like hairspray and hair products after being on her feet all day styling haircuts, colors, and updos. Zia Angela is an artist with a pair of scissors! My aunt Maria, her twin, decided to become a teacher just like my grandma was. Zia Maria works at the middle school teaching history. She's always quizzing me about important dates and events that I need to know. Maria is also the coach for the school's drama club and directs their musical each year.Last but not least, there's my uncle Paolo who is my dad's younger brother. Uncle Paolo is a computer programmer and software developer. His job sounds very complicated to me involving a lot of coding, data, and weird tech words I don't understand. But Paolo loves working with computers! When he's not coding away on his laptop, you can usually find my unclereading sci-fi novels or building elaborate Lego sets. Uncle Paolo is single right now and says he's waiting to meet a nice girl who shares his geeky interests. As you can see, my family has people pursuing all kinds of different careers and hobbies. Between my parents working, my grandparents' retired lifestyles, my aunts in beauty and teaching, and my computerwhiz uncle, our household is a lively, buzzing place. Our apartment echoes with the sounds of everyone's activities - hair dryers, pots and pans clanging, lawn mowers, TVs playing, conversations happening in multiple languages, and more. While our schedules are packed, we always make time to have family dinner together each evening to catch up. I feel very lucky to be part of such a hard-working, loving,multi-generational family.篇3My Big, Busy FamilyHi! My name is Charlie and I'm 10 years old. I live with a huge family and there's always something going on at my house. Let me tell you about all the stuff my family members are up to lately!First, there's my mom. She's usually running around taking care of everybody else. Right now, she's cooking up a storm in the kitchen. She's making her famous spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight. The whole house smells so good! She's also helping my little sister Lucy with her homework at the kitchen table. Lucy is only 6 and just started 1st grade, so she needs a lot of help with reading and math and everything. My dad works really hard as an accountant downtown. But when he gets home, he likes to relax by working in the garden. He's been growing all kinds of yummy vegetables this year like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and corn. I like to go out and help him pull weeds sometimes. After gardening, he usually watches sports on TV and yells a lot when his teams are losing. My older brother Marcus is 16 and a total brainiac. He's always got his head buried in a book. This week he's been studying like crazy because he has some huge tests coming up. When he's not studying, he's playing chess or programming computers. Marcus wants to be a scientist when he grows up and discover something amazing.Jessica is 14 and my other older sister. She's basically a cool teenager who is obsessed with music and fashion. Right now, she's in her room listening to her favorite bands super loud anddriving the rest of us crazy. She's also been working on redecorating her room and putting up new posters of singers she likes. Sometimes she makes me leave because she says her room is "her space."Ryan is my little brother and he's 8 years old. He has absolutely no chill and is pretty hyper. Right now, he's bouncing off the walls running around the house playing superhero. He ties a towel around his neck as a cape and makes zapping noises with his mouth. Ryan is pretty funny but he makes a huge mess wherever he goes! He also loves playing sports like soccer and baseball. He's not very good at sitting still. My grandma lives with us too. We call her Nana. She used to be a teacher and is really smart. Now that she's retired, she spends her days reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. She's currently in the living room correcting grammar and spelling in the newspaper with her red pen. Nana really loves giving people spelling tests and quizzing them. Sometimes that gets annoying but I know she means well.Grandpa is Nana's husband and he's pretty much the opposite of her. He was a construction worker and spent his career building things with his hands. Now he's retired too but he doesn't like sitting around at all. He's always tinkering on littleprojects and fixing stuff around the house. Currently, he's out in the garage building a birdhouse from a kit he got. Sometimes the loud banging from his hammering drives us nuts!Last but not least, there's my uncle Robby who is 21 and lives with us too. He's in college studying business. Robby just got home from his job at the mall where he works at a sporting goods store in the evenings. When he's not working or at school, he's usually playing video games in the basement rec room. The flashing lights and sound effects from whatever he's playing make it hard for anyone else to hang out down there. I've heard Robby say a lot of times that he just wants to hurry up and graduate so he can get his own place. I guess our family can be a little overwhelming sometimes! So that's the scoop on what my 8 family members have been up to lately. We might be a big, loud, crazy bunch, but I love my family more than anything. Our house is always full of fun, hustle and bustle. I feel really lucky to have so many people around me all the time, even if they drive me a little nuts every now and then. What can I say, I'm a family guy through and through!篇4My Big FamilyHi! My name is Jamie and I'm going to tell you all about my huge family. We have 8 people total living in our house - my mom, my dad, my older brother Tommy, my twin sisters Lily and Rose, my baby brother Michael, and my two grandparents who live with us too. It's never a boring day at my house, that's for sure!Let me start with my mom. Her name is Sarah and she is always running around taking care of everybody. In the mornings, she wakes up super early to make us all breakfast and pack our lunches for school. She makes the best pancakes! After she sees us off to school, she heads to her job as a nurse at the hospital. She works really hard all day taking care of sick people. When she gets home in the evenings, she helps us with our homework and then cooks a big dinner for the whole family. Even after that she is still cleaning up the house and doing laundry. Phew, I get tired just thinking about her schedule! But she always has a smile on her face.My dad's name is Robert and he works in an office downtown. He wears a suit and tie every day and leaves really early before any of us kids wake up. He takes the train to work. At his job, he has meetings and works on the computer a lot. He tells me his days are pretty boring compared to mom's! Whendad gets home in the evenings, he likes to watch TV and relax for a little bit before coming outside to play basketball or catch with us kids. On weekends, he does chores around the house like mowing the lawn, fixing things that are broken, and washing the cars.Tommy is my older brother and he's 14 years old. He is in high school and always seems to be studying or doing homework. When he's not studying, he loves playing video games and watching YouTube videos about cars and sports. His biggest job at home is looking after Lily, Rose, and baby Michael when mom and dad aren't around. He's a good big brother and takes that job seriously, even though the twins can be a handful sometimes! In his free time, Tommy also has a part-time job at the grocery store bagging people's food. The twins, Lily and Rose, are 8 years old just like me. We're all in 3rd grade at the same elementary school. Lily and Rose do everything together - they share a bedroom, they have all the same friends, and sometimes I think they have their own secret twin language! At home, their favorite thing to do is play dress up and have fashion shows. They love putting on my mom's high heels and jewelry and doing each other's hair and makeup. Theyalso take dance classes after school a couple days a week. Lily and Rose fight a LOT but they're still best friends.Little Michael is the baby of the family. He just turned 2 years old. He is totally obsessed with cars, trucks, and anything with wheels. He loves pushing his toy cars all over the floor and making loud motor noises. If you ask him what a car, plane, train, or motorcycle sounds like, he'll do a perfect impression! Whenever we go somewhere in the real car, Michael stares out the window checking out every vehicle on the road. He doesn't talk much yet but he knows the names of all his toy cars and can point out real ones on the street. Watching Michael learn new words every day is so fun. Then there's my grandma Jane and grandpa Henry who live with us too. They're both retired and their bedroom is on the first floor of our house. Grandma loves cooking big family meals on Sundays and holidays when we're all together. She's an amazing baker too and makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Whenever I'm sick, grandma takes care of me during the day. She reads me stories, gives me medicine, and makes me soup. Grandpa Henry has a little workshop in the basement where he does a lot of woodworking projects. He's so handy and can fix or build anything! For his latest project, he made Lily, Rose, and me allnew desks for our homework. Grandma and grandpa's favorite thing is when we all sit together and they tell us stories about when they were young.Phew, that's my whole big, crazy family! There's never a dull moment in this house with 8 people all going in different directions. Our mornings are hectic with everyone getting ready for the day, but my favorite time is in the evening when we're all back home together for dinner. We go around the table taking turns saying our high/low for the day (the best and worst thing that happened). It's fun hearing about what everyone did that day. Then maybe we'll all play a board game or watch a movie together as a family. Sure, it can get loud and messy with this many people, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I feel so lucky to be part of such a loving, awesome family.篇5My Big, Busy FamilyI come from a really big family with lots of people always doing different things. There are 8 of us kids and our mom and dad, so 10 people total! It can be pretty crazy at our house but I love having so many siblings. Let me tell you about what everyone was up to yesterday. My oldest brother James is 18 and just graduated from high school last month. He has a part-time job at the grocery store bagging groceries and stocking shelves after school and on weekends. Yesterday he was at work in the morning, then he came home and spent the afternoon applying to colleges online. James wants to study business and marketing. He's really good at selling things - once he even talked me into paying him 5 dollars for a rock he found in our backyard!Next is my sister Emily, who is 16 years old. She's really into art and loves painting and drawing. Yesterday she was working on a huge painting of our family dog Rufus for most of the day. It's really good and looks just like him! Emily hopes to go to art school after graduating high school next year. Sometimes I'm a little jealous of her talent because all I can draw are stick figures. Then there are the twins, Mark and Matthew, who are 14. They are both obsessed with sports, especially basketball. Yesterday they had basketball practice after school, then came home and spent a few hours out back shooting hoops and working on their jump shots and free throws. Those two are always bouncing their balls around the house and giving the rest of us headaches! My brother Luke is 10 years old like me. Yesterday Luke spent the whole morning working on his model rocket that we're going to launch soon. He's been gluing it together piece by piece and painting it for weeks. In the afternoon he was outside playing chase with our dog Rufus and throwing a tennis ball for him. I think Luke wants to be a scientist when he grows up.My little sister Hannah is 8 years old. She lovesplaying pretend and comes up with the craziest make-believe games and situations. Yesterday she set up this whole system of "shops" through the entire house and was selling us fake food, tickets, you name it out of different rooms. I got roped into giving her my whole week's allowance to "buy" stuff from her weird shops! Hannah could probably be a great saleswoman like my brother James someday. The youngest is my brother Caleb who is 5 years old. He's really into superheroes and always wants to play Batman, Superman, Spiderman, you get the idea. Yesterday he ran around the backyard with a towel tied around his neck as a cape basically all day, "saving" us from make-believe villains. Somehow I ended up being the villain he had to fight and "capture" over and over! That little guy has a huge imagination. As for my mom and dad, they both have office jobs downtown. My dad is an accountant and spends his days crunching numbers and filling out spreadsheets. He got home from work yesterday evening and crashed on the couch watching TV because he was so tired from working long hours during the tax season. My mom works at a bank and her job is to provide customer service and help people with things like loans and opening accounts. Yesterday she got home from her job and immediately started cooking a huge dinner for our whole hungry family! After we ate, my parents spent the rest of the evening trying to get us all calmed down before bed. My dad helped Luke finish building his rocket model while my mom supervised bath time for the younger kids amid total chaos and splashing water everywhere. I'm surprised my parents have any energy left at the end of the day!So as you can see, there's never a dull moment in our household. With 8 kids ranging from 5 years old to 18, there's always a million different things going on. Sports, art, pretend games, messeseverywhere - it's pure pandemonium! But even though it's crazy, I love being part of such a big, loud, energetic family. My siblings drive me nuts sometimes but I wouldn't wantit any other way. Our house is a wild place, but I have a feeling no matter what we all end up doing when we're older, we're never going to be bored!篇6My Big, Busy FamilyMy name is Timmy and I have a huge family! There are eight of us kids and my mom and dad make ten. Our house is always buzzing with activity and there's never a dull moment. Let me tell you about what everyone is up to lately.First, there's my dad. He works really hard as an accountant downtown. Every morning, he wakes up at 6 AM, showers, gets dressed in a suit and tie, and is out the door by 7. He takes the train to the city and doesn't get home until 7 PM. But as soon as he walks through that door, he turns into Super Dad! He always has a big smile and a hug for each of us. After dinner, he might help my older brothers and sisters with their homework if they need it. On weekends, he loves working in the yard, grilling out, or playing catch with us.My mom is simply amazing. She is a stay-at-home mom and runs our household like a seasoned general. She wakes up at 6:30 to get started on breakfast and packing lunches foreveryone. Once the older kids have gone off to school, she helps my younger siblings with their schoolwork. We homeschool the youngest three. In the afternoon, she does chores like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and anything else that needs doing.I don't know how she does it all! At night after we're in bed, she loves to curl up with a good book or watch her favorite shows. The oldest of us kids is my sister Emily. She's 17 and a senior in high school this year. She stays extremely busy with school, her part-time job at the mall, and getting ready to apply to colleges soon. Her dream is to become a pediatrician. Emily is really smart and gets excellent grades. She's also the captain of the soccer team. I don't know where she finds the energy! When she's not working, studying, or playing soccer, she loves hanging out with her friends.Next is my brother Jacob who is 15. He's a sophomore and also a really good student. His biggest passion is music. Jacob plays guitar in a band with some of his friends and they practice a few times a week. He wants to continue playing and studying music after high school. On top of school and band, he also works a few hours a week at a music store to save up money. Jacob is really cool and all of his younger siblings look up to him.At 13 years old, my sister Sarah is an 8th grader in middle school. She's a three-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and softball. It seems like she always has a game or practice going on! Sarah also recently joined the student council at her school. She loves being involved in activities and making a difference. In her free time, Sarah hangs out with her friends at the mall or movies. She's a lot of fun to be around. My brother Thomas is 11 and in 6th grade. He absolutely loves science and math. Thomas is always reading books or watching documentaries to learn more. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up. For now, he's really into coding and programming. Thomas also plays baseball in the local kids' league. He may be a total brainiac, but he's super athletic too! I aspire to be just like my cool big brother someday. At 9 years old, my sister Lily is in 4th grade. She is a creative, artistic child who lives for art class at school. Lily is always drawing, painting, making crafts or jewelry - you name it. I think she was born with a paint brush in her hand! She takes all kinds of art classes too. Lily also does gymnastics and is getting really good at it. Sometimes she puts on little shows for us at home, tumbling across the living room. Lily is lots of fun and has a huge imagination. Finally, there's me, Timmy! I'm 7 years old and in 2nd grade. I love playing sports, especially baseball, basketball and soccer. When I'm not at school, you'll find me outside being active and burning off energy. I'm also really into building with Lego bricks.I can sit for hours constructing huge towers, vehicles, and towns. Reading is another favorite activity of mine too. I'll read any book about sports, adventure, or outer space! My siblings are my best friends and I look up to each of them.As you can see, there's never a boring day in our household! With eight kids, countless hobbies and activities, my mom and dad juggling it all, and everyone's different personalities, it's a constant whirlwind. Sometimes the chaos gets a little crazy. But I wouldn't want it any other way - I love my big, busy family more than anything!。
