Unit 10 Money
Lesson1 A Material World

Good morning, everyone ! I’m very glad to voice my idea of the text “A Material World”. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from five parts. First, let me talk about the teaching material.
I .The teaching material
This text is the second part of Unit10 Modul 4 by Beijing Normal University Publishing House . The headline is “Money” and the title of the article is “A Material World”. By studying of this unit, we’ll enable the students to learn different lifestyles of some millionaires , learn western people’s attitudes towards money and help students build up correct attitude towards money.
After studying the teachin g material and analyzing the rule of students’ growing of mind,I think the teaching aims are the followings:
1.Knowledge objects:
(1) the students can master the use of phrasal verbs with give, go and drop
(2) the students can understand the content of the lesson:
(3) the students can read a text to find out specific facts
Ability objects:
(1)To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, and reading, Especially reading and speaking abilities.
(2) To develop students’ awareness of cooperation
(3) To use the information from the text to finish some exercises
3.Emotion objects:
students can learn different lifestyles of some millionaires and different ideas about money , thus they can build up correct attitude towards money.
According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’learning background ,I will use the following methods .

In this period, I’ will take some teaching methods to help the students understand and master the text, and further deepen and widen their thoughts .They are:

Step1 Leading- in
1.T: Greetings . First ,we will ask students to guess the subject what I decscribed to arouse students' learning interest. (As we know , it belongs to the A Material World . we will use it when you want to buy something in a supermarket ? what ‘s it ? it is money . )
2. I’ll show pictures of two millionaires: LiJiacheng, Bill Gates. let students guess who they are? Then ask students to answer following questions. Would you like to be a millionaire? Why or why not? . and give students 4 minutes to exchange your ideas with your partner .students will form different viewpoints about money .(T: According to students’ viewpoints ,we can find that different
