Last summer, I hosted a BBQ party at my house. It was a great opportunity for me to gather with my friends and enjoy some delicious food. I prepared a variety of meats, such as ribs, chicken, and sausages, and marinated them with different seasonings to add flavor. I also grilled some vegetables, like corn on the cob, bell peppers, and zucchini, to provide a healthy option for my guests.During the party, we had a blast chatting and laughing while the meat was sizzling on the grill. I remember one of my friends saying, "This BBQ is off the charts!" It was a perfect day for a BBQ, with the sun shining and a gentle breeze blowing. We played some music in the background, and everyone was having a great time.As the host, I made sure to keep an eye on the grill and flip the meat at the right time to ensure it was cookedto perfection. I also had a variety of sauces and condiments for everyone to choose from, such as BBQ sauce, ketchup, and mustard. I remember one of my friends exclaiming, "This BBQ sauce is the bomb!" It was satisfying to see everyone enjoying the food I had prepared. After we finished eating, we sat around the fire pitand roasted marshmallows to make s'mores.

Here is an English essay about a barbecue party:Gathering with friends and family for a lively barbecue party is one of the most enjoyable social events during the warm summer months. The aroma of sizzling meats and the laughter of loved ones create a festive atmosphere that brings people together in a celebration of good food, good company, and the simple pleasures of outdoor living. As the sun begins to set, the backyard transforms into a cozy oasis, with twinkling string lights casting a warm glow over the gathering. The grill master, usually a self-appointed expert in the art of charcoal and seasoning, stands proudly before the flames, carefully tending to the burgers, hot dogs, and an assortment of marinated chicken, ribs, and vegetables. The delectable scents waft through the air, enticing everyone's appetite and creating a sense of anticipation.Guests arrive, each bringing a dish to share, whetherit's a refreshing pasta salad, a creamy potato salad, or a decadent dessert. The table is adorned with a colorfularray of vibrant salads, crusty breads, and an abundance of condiments, allowing everyone to customize their plates to their liking. The sound of laughter and lively conversation fills the air as people mingle, catching up on the latest news and sharing stories from their lives.Children dart about, playing games on the lawn or splashing in a kiddie pool, their joyful shrieks and giggles adding to the lively atmosphere. Teenagers huddle together, trading music recommendations and exchanging the latest social media trends, while the adults engage in more leisurely discussions, sipping on cold beverages and savoring the delicious food.As the evening progresses, the grill master's skills are put to the test, ensuring that each piece of meat is cooked to perfection. The sound of sizzling and the gentle hiss of the flames create a symphony that accompanies the lively chatter and the occasional clinking of glasses. Guests take turns offering to help with the grilling, eager to learn the secrets of the trade and contribute to the communal effort.Toward the end of the evening, as the sun dips below the horizon, the group gathers around the crackling fire pit, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories that span generations. The warm glow of the flames casts a cozy spell, and the laughter and camaraderie of the group create asense of belonging that lingers long after the party has ended.A barbecue party is more than just a gathering of people; it's a celebration of the simple pleasures in life – good food, good company, and the joy of being together in the great outdoors. It's a time to create lasting memories, strengthen bonds, and revel in the beauty of the summer season.

We have to clean the grill before we start a fire.

生火英文叫 starta fire 或是 light a fire。

2. This guy is not done yet.

We have to flip this guy over!"

)" 而不说 "I have done."

3. Don't overcook the chicken.

英语笔记-烤肉Party2014-2-27 9:00 类别:英语口语来源:enguo 责编:meten1.You can come over and I'll buzz you in.

「帮你开门」这个动作许多人不经思考就会说,open the door for you但严格说来,open the door for you指的是你亲自去把门打开。

I'll buzz you in." Could you buzz me in?"2.May I have a glass of water?

所以你跟别人要一杯水,比较好的讲法应该是a glass of water,而非a cup of water.

Do you have a glass?"(你有玻璃杯吗?)

3.We have to clean the grill before we start a fire.

另外生火英文叫start a fire或是light a fire.

4.This guy is not done yet.

We have to flip over this guy!"

This guy has not been done yet."

[另意:我完蛋了])而不说"I have done."

This guy is not done yet."

Is this guy done yet?"5.Don't overcook the chicken.

怎么了」,例如overvalued(价值高估了),overcrowded(太过拥挤了),overreacted(反应过度),而overcooked则是指煮得太熟了。

This chicken was overcooked.It tasted like rubber."(这块鸡肉太熟了,吃起来像橡皮一样。

Turn down the fire.

The steak is still bloody inside.Maybe you should cook it through."(牛排里面都还血淋淋的,也许你该把它烤透一点。

)6.Anyone need a veggie burger?Here is the patty.

My boyfriend is a veggie so we only go to veggie restaurants."(我的男朋友是个素食主义者,所以我们只去素食餐厅。

记得有部电影Bone Collector(人骨拼图者?) Do you want to be a vegetable? What kinds of vegetables you want to be?"(你想变成植物人吗?

7.This tender,juicy steak really hits the spot.

Hit the spot

It really hits the spot."

The rain really hits the spot."8.Do you need some pickles? No. This is good enough.

最简单的可以说,"No.Thanks."

(注意"That's OK."

)第三种讲法则是我觉得最客气的讲法,"This is good enough."或是"That is good enough."

"That/This is good enough."

No.That's good enough." No.This is good enough."

9.Eat up!
