潘基文世界难民日英语演讲稿:为什么我们应该更多关注难民群体?Ladies and gentlemen,As we gather together on this World Refugee Day, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the plight of millions of refugees around the world. Refugees are people who have been forced to flee their homes due to persecution, war, or violence. They have left behind everything they know and love, and have embarked on a journey full of uncertainty and danger. There are currently over 26 million registered refugees worldwide, and this number is expected to continue rising in the coming years. This means that more and more people willbe seeking asylum, safety, and protection in countries other than their own. While some countries have welcomed refugees with open arms, others have closed their borders and turned away those in need.It is important that we all recognize the importance of supporting refugees and the potential that they have to contribute to our societies. Refugees are often resilient, resourceful, and determined individuals who have been able toovercome incredible obstacles to reach safety. They bring with them skills, knowledge, and experiences that are often overlooked and undervalued. Many refugees are professionals, entrepreneurs, and artists who have made significant contributions to their new communities. It is also important to recognize that refugees are not just numbers or statistics. They are human beings who have been forced to leave behind their families, homes, and everything they know. They have experienced trauma and heartache, and have had to build new lives in unfamiliar places. They deserve our empathy, compassion, and support. As we celebrate World Refugee Day, I urge everyone to take action to support refugees in any way they can. Whether it's by volunteering, donating, or simply becoming more informed about the refugee crisis, we can all play a role in helping refugees rebuild their lives and find hope for the future. In conclusion, I would like to leave you with the words of Nelson Mandela, who once said, "Our human compassion binds us the one to the other - not in pity or patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our commonsuffering into hope for the future." Let us all come together to support refugees and to create a world where everyone has the opportunity to live in safety and peace.Thank you.。

关于难民危机的英文作文English:As a global issue, the refugee crisis is a matter that demands our immediate attention and comprehensive solutions. The plight of refugees stems from various factors, including conflict, persecution, poverty, and environmental disasters. These individuals are forced to flee their homes in search of safety and opportunities for a better life. 。

One of the most pressing challenges associated with the refugee crisis is the issue of displacement. Millions of people are displaced from their homes, often with little to no resources or support. This can lead to overcrowded refugee camps, inadequate access to food, water, and healthcare, and heightened vulnerability to exploitationand abuse. For instance, in the Syrian refugee crisis, many families were forced to live in makeshift shelters in neighboring countries, enduring harsh living conditions and struggling to meet their basic needs.Furthermore, the refugee crisis poses significant challenges to the host countries. These nations often face economic strain and social tensions as they accommodate large numbers of refugees. Competition for jobs and resources can lead to resentment and hostility towards refugees, exacerbating existing social divisions. For example, in Europe, the influx of refugees has sparked debates over immigration policies and fueled the rise offar-right political movements.Addressing the refugee crisis requires a coordinated effort at both the national and international levels. Governments must prioritize humanitarian assistance, provide adequate support for refugees, and work towards long-term solutions to conflict and instability. Additionally, there needs to be greater cooperation among countries to share the burden of refugee resettlement and promote integration and inclusion. In conclusion, the refugee crisis is a complex and urgent issue that demands collective action and compassion.By acknowledging the humanity and dignity of refugees and working together to address the root causes of displacement, we can build a more just and inclusive world for all.

Ladies and gentlemen,It is truly an honor to speak to you today on theoccasion of World Refugee Day. This day is vital for raising awareness for those who have fled their home countries due to persecution, war, or conflicts. The United Nations has committed to help refugees and asylum seekers rebuild their lives and regain their human rights. As we celebrate this day, it is crucial to explore how we can improve the quality oflife for refugees. The number of refugees globally is increasing at an alarming rate, but we cannot ignore the fact that the humantoll of violence, instability, and persecution is immeasurable. It is important that we address the root causes of displacement, but it is equally important that we give refugees a better chance at survival and achieving a meaningful life.To achieve this, we need to ensure that refugees’ basic needs, such as shelter, food, water, healthcare, andeducation, are met. Providing these essentials not only immediately improves refugees’ wellbeing, but it also lays a foundation for them to thrive. We should also ensure that refugees receive legal protection and have the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes in their host countries. However, these steps alone are not enough to address the challenges we currently face. We must aim beyond basic needs and prioritize the development of skills and education that can enable refugees to become self-sufficient. Education is critical for refugees, as it provides a path towards a more stable future. Investment in vocational training, language courses, and other forms of education can provide refugees with the tools to begin anew in their host communities and contribute to local economies. It is also critically important that we recognize the contributions of refugees as valuable members of our global community. They bring with them unique perspectives and experiences that enrich our culture and workforce. Removing barriers for refugees’ participation in civic life, not only empowers them, but it also benefits the societies that host them.In addition, the support of the international communityis crucial in addressing the challenges that refugees face. Innovative solutions are needed to address the current inadequacies of the global refugee system. Providing sustained and predictable financial support to host countries and communities is pivotal. Finally, we must never forget that refugees are not just statistics or faces in news images. Each one is an individual with hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Their survival and progress depend on the collective efforts of nations, communities, and individuals to address the root causes of their plight and provide them with the opportunities they need to thrive. In conclusion, improving the quality of life for refugees demands a comprehensive approach. Basic needs must be met, education and skills must be provided, legal protection must be ensured, and barriers to participation in society must be removed. Together, we can give refugees the chance for a better future and contribute to building more resilient and inclusive communities and societies. Thank you.。

二战英文演讲稿Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to stand before you today to speak about the Second World War, a conflict that shaped the course of history and had a profound impact on the world. The Second World War, which lasted from 1939 to 1945,was a global conflict involving many of the world's nations. It was a war that engulfed the entire world and resulted in the loss of millions of lives. The war was fought onmultiple fronts, including in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific, and it saw the widespread use of new and devastating weapons such as the atomic bomb. The causes of the Second World War are complex and multifaceted, but one of the primary causes was the aggressive expansionist policies of Nazi Germany under the leadership of Adolf Hitler. Hitler's desire for territorial expansion and his racist ideology led to the invasion of Poland in 1939, which prompted Britain and France todeclare war on Germany, thus setting off the globalconflict. The war saw the rise of powerful alliances, with the Axis Powers, led by Germany, Italy, and Japan, pitted against the Allies, which included Britain, the Soviet Union, the United States, and China, among others. The conflict resulted in a series of major battles and campaigns, including the Battle of Stalingrad, the Battle of Midway, and the D-Day landings, which ultimately led to the defeat of the Axis Powers. The impact of the Second World War was far-reaching and long-lasting. The war resulted in the devastation of many countries and the loss of countless lives. It also led to the creation of the United Nations and the establishment of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, laying the foundation for international cooperation and human rights protection. In addition, the war had a profound impact on the geopolitical landscape, leading to the division of Europe and the onset of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. The war also brought about significant social and cultural changes, including the advancement ofwomen's rights and the recognition of the need for greater diversity and inclusion. In conclusion, the Second World War was a conflict of unprecedented scale and impact, and its legacy continues to shape the world to this day. It is important for us to remember the sacrifices made and the lessons learned from this tragic chapter in human history, and to strive for a future of peace, understanding, and cooperation.各位女士们,先生们,今天能站在这里向大家谈论第二次世界大战是我的荣幸。

二战英文演讲

二战英文演讲Ladies and gentlemen,Today, I stand before you to discuss one of the most pivotal events in human history - World War II. This global conflict forever altered the course of our world and left an indelible mark on the collective consciousness of mankind.World War II began on September 1, 1939, when Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, invaded Poland. The ensuing years witnessed a devastating series of military conflicts that engulfed nations across the globe. As the war intensified, alliances were formed and battle lines were drawn between the Axis powers, led by Germany, Italy, and Japan, and the Allies, consisting of the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom, among others. One cannot discuss World War II without acknowledging the immense suffering it inflicted upon millions of people. The war claimed the lives of approximately 70-85 million individuals, including soldiers and civilians alike. It witnessed the horrors of genocide, most notably the Holocaust, where six million Jews were systematically exterminated by the Nazis.Amidst this darkness, however, World War II brought out the greatest qualities of humanity - resilience, bravery, and sacrifice. Countless acts of heroism were displayed by soldiers on both sides, as they fought for what they believed in. From the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy to the Battle of Stalingrad, these moments encapsulated the determination of the Allied forces to defeat tyranny and preserve freedom. Moreover, World War II propelled advancements in technology and innovation. It saw the development and use of powerful weapons such as nuclear bombs, forever altering the nature of warfare. The war also transformed society, as women took on integral roles in the workforce while men were away at war.Ultimately, World War II concluded on September 2, 1945, with Japan's formal surrender. The war left behind a world forever changed and forced nations to confront the consequences of their actions. It led to the establishment of international organizations such as the United Nations, with the hope of maintaining peace and preventing such devastating conflicts in the future. As we reflect on the events of World War II, we must remember the sacrifices made by countless individuals, the valor displayed by soldiers on all fronts, and the enduring legacy of unity and resilience. It is our responsibility to ensure that the lessons of this war are never forgotten, so that we may forge a path towards a future marked by peace, understanding, and respect for all. Thank you.。

Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is with a heavy heart and a compassionate soul that I stand before you today to address a pressing issue that affects millions of people around the world: the plight of refugees.Refugees are individuals who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution, or natural disasters. They have left everything behind in search of safety, security, and a chance to rebuild their lives. However, their journey is fraught with hardships, discrimination, and despair. As a society, it is our moral responsibility to extend a helping hand to these vulnerable individuals. In this speech, I will highlight the importance of providing aid and support to refugees, emphasizing the humanitarian values that bind us all.First and foremost, we must recognize that refugees are not a burden but an opportunity. They bring with them diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives that can enrich our communities. By welcoming refugees, we not only help them find shelter but also contribute to the economic and cultural development of our nations. To begin with, refugees possess valuable skills that can be utilized in various sectors. Whether it is healthcare, education, or technology, their expertise can contribute to the growth and progress of our economies. By integrating refugees into the workforce, we can create a more inclusive and dynamic society.Furthermore, refugees often bring a fresh perspective on global issues. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences can provide us with valuable insights and ideas. By fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity, we can encourage innovation and creativity, leading to positive social change. In addition to economic and cultural benefits, providing aid to refugees is a matter of human rights and humanitarian principles. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations in 1948, states that everyone has the right to seek and enjoy in other countriesasylum from persecution. By upholding this principle, we demonstrate our commitment to justice, equality, and human dignity.Refugees often face numerous challenges in their journey. They maysuffer from physical and mental trauma, loss of loved ones, and the breakdown of their social networks. It is our duty to ensure that they receive adequate support and assistance to recover from their ordeals. To effectively help refugees, we must take a multi-faceted approach. This includes providing shelter, food, and healthcare, as well as access to education and employment opportunities. Governments, non-governmental organizations, and individuals must work together to create a comprehensive support system that addresses the various needs of refugees. Moreover, we must challenge the misconceptions and prejudices that fuel discrimination against refugees. By promoting awareness and understanding, we can foster a more compassionate and inclusive society. Educating the public about the causes of displacement and the contributions of refugees can help break down barriers and build bridges of understanding. In conclusion, the plight of refugees is a global concern that requires our collective efforts and compassion. By providing aid, support, and a welcoming environment, we can help refugees rebuild their lives and contribute to the prosperity of our nations. Let us remember that behind each refugee is a story of courage, resilience, and hope. Together, we can create a world where everyone has a chance to thrive.Thank you.。

德军战败演讲稿英文范文

Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart to deliver a solemn speech on the defeat of the German army. The past few years have been marked by a fierce and relentless war, and now, we have reached a point where we must confront the harsh reality of our defeat.First and foremost, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the families of the soldiers who have lost their lives in this tragic conflict. Your loss is immense, and our nation owes you a profound debt of gratitude for their sacrifice. The bravery and dedication of our soldiers have been truly inspiring, and their spirit will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we reflect on the events that led to our defeat, it is crucial to acknowledge the mistakes and shortcomings that were made along the way. We must learn from our past and strive to prevent such tragedies from happening again. The German army, once a formidable force, succumbed to a series of strategic blunders and a lack of adequate preparation. One of the primary reasons for our defeat was the failure to adapt to the evolving nature of warfare. The technological advancements made by our enemies left us ill-prepared and outmatched. From the advent of radar technology to the introduction of jet-powered aircraft, we were unable to keep pace with the rapid advancements in weaponry and tactics. This inability to adapt proved to be our undoing.Furthermore, our military leadership was marred by a lack of vision and foresight. Decisions were often made based on outdated strategies and assumptions, rather than a comprehensive understanding of thebattlefield realities. The consequences of these flawed decisions were devastating, as we witnessed the steady erosion of our military capabilities. In addition, the German army suffered from a lack of morale and unity. The relentless bombings and the heavy toll of war took a severe toll on the morale of our soldiers. The sense of camaraderie and unity that once defined our ranks began to fray, and this lack of cohesion played a significant role in our defeat. Now, as we face the harsh reality of our defeat, it is essential to maintain our dignity and resilience. We must not allow our defeat to define us or erode our spirit. Instead, we must use this moment as an opportunity for growth and renewal. As a nation, we must come together and rebuild. We must invest in our infrastructure, education, and technology to ensure that we are better prepared for future challenges. We must also focus on fostering a sense of unity and cooperation among our people, so that we can overcome any adversity that may come our way. Moreover, it is our responsibility to learn from the mistakes of the past and to prevent the resurgence of any ideology that could lead to another devastating conflict. We must promote peace, tolerance, and understanding, both within our own borders and across the globe. In conclusion, the defeat of the German army is a solemn moment in our nation's history. It serves as a reminder of the consequences of poor decision-making, inadequate preparation, and the erosion of unity. However, it is also an opportunity for us to learn, grow, and rebuild. Let us use this moment as a catalyst for positive change and a brighter future.Thank you.。

难民问题英语作文The Refugee Crisis。

The world is currently facing one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time: the refugee crisis. Millions of people are fleeing their homes due to war, persecution, and extreme poverty, and are seeking refuge in other countries. This crisis has put a huge strain on the resources and infrastructure of the countries that are hosting these refugees, and has also led to a rise in xenophobia and anti-immigrant sentiment in many parts of the world. The main cause of the refugee crisis is the ongoing conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. These conflicts have displaced millions of people, who are now living in overcrowded refugee camps in neighboring countries such as Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan. Many of these refugees are living in terrible conditions, with little access to food, water, and medical care. The refugee crisis has also been exacerbated by therise of extremist groups such as ISIS, which has been responsible for a wave of violence and terror in the Middle East and beyond. This has led to a rise in anti-Muslim sentiment in many parts of the world, and has made it even more difficult for refugees to find safety and security. The response of the international community to the refugee crisis has been mixed. While some countries, such as Germany and Canada, have welcomed large numbers of refugees and provided them with housing, education, and employment opportunities, others have closed their borders and taken a hardline stance against immigration. This has led to a situation where many refugees are stuck in limbo, unable to return home and unable to find a new country to call home.In order to address the refugee crisis, it is important for the international community to work together to provide humanitarian aid to those in need, and to create safe and legal pathways for refugees to seek asylum. This can bedone through increased funding for refugee camps and aid organizations, as well as through the creation of more flexible immigration policies that take into account the unique needs of refugees. In conclusion, the refugee crisis is one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time, and requires a coordinated and compassionate response from the international community. By working together to provide aid and support to those in need, we can help to alleviate the suffering of millions of refugees and create a more just and equitable world for all.。

German Refugee Crisis(德国难民危机)

German Refugee Crisis(德国难民危机)

German Refugee CrisisThe International Organization for Migration counted that the number of irregular migrates and refugees who mainly from Middle East Asia and Africa had crossed 1 million ending 2015 on 21 December. Germany had received the most of first time asylum applications among all European countries. Merely in the third quarter of 2015, Germany had received almost 26 per cent of total asylum applications which were around 10800. Under the massive influx of refugees, financial burden was not the only vexed issue that racked local state, the mounting separatist tendencies of entire Germany society was considered as more dangerous threaten in the long term. With the launch of an impulsive and buoyantly optimistic refugee policy, German almost became the first selection to major asylum seekers. Nevertheless huge number was not the primary cause of the problem, the root of this crisis was that German society failed to integrate these outsiders. Generally if one country is willing to accept refugees, the reason is not only base on humanity but also consider that migrant’s “worth” to the country such as economic, politic, ethnic. However different with the migrants’ waves after two world wars, almost every industry in German now has already been developed into a high level, so they demand certain job skills which most of the refugees obviously do not have. Unemployed refugees could only depend on government relief to support themselves and their families. That is why those Germans who used to support or be neutral about refugee policy turn to opposite side nowadays, they cannot endure the government finance bear all cost of refugees in perpetuity. On the other hand, the increasing of crime and terrorist attacks in German refugee and migrants centers constantly stimulated nervous natives. Although police announced that Syrian and Iraqi immigrants were found to be less frequent in committing crime and they had kept track of crimes committed by migrants, negative criticism still continue to grow. For example, complaints of sexual assaults were registered on New Year Eve in Cologne, and this number h ad risen to 516. Female citizens also state in their complains that they were subjected to lewd insults and robbery. Although some German politicians supported to deporting migrants or refugees directly after committing crimes, but truth is that deportation continues to be not possible. Situations like these shocked the entire country, and boosted xenophobic and populism. Thousands of people were attending the rallies of anti-Islamic group, and other homogeneous parties received increased support in regional elections held in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony-Anhalt in March 2016. A worrying concern is that these parties would possibly exploit public fear to gain more status in German politic and may impact national direction in the future. In general, the situations continues to sharpen, begin with overoptimism policy whichreceived excessive refugees, then high proportions could be difficult to integrate into German society and completely depended on government, some even committed in crime, the consequence were the increasing in both financial burden and crime rate. Thus the rift between the whole German community become ever more serious and growing number of citizens change to exclusive position. In order to encounter this emergency society disunity situation and finding a balance between outsiders and natives, there are something must be done. First of all, an orderly and reasonable immigration policies which allow the regular flow of asylum seekers enter Germany may be necessary and justified on numerous grounds. Secondly, government or public organizations have to integrating immigrants by establishing bonds and bridges to connect them with German society, for example strong anti-discrimination policies, accelerated language instruction, job training programs, residential and school integration, the discouragement of enclaves, and liberal naturalization policies are all a start. Adults must be placed in the labor market, including as many women as possible. Children must be in full-day schools, as ethnically integrated as possible with instruction only in German; the US experience with Spanish bi-lingual education has not been impressive. At last, government should enforce laws of deportation. Comparing with German, America keeps a harsher deportation action, 235,000 non-citizens were deporting from America and 60% for the reasons of crime. German government has to express their determination on deporting criminal migrants, through this way to deter other malevolent person and show that government is always protecting public interests. Although the future of Germany is full of uncertain, it is still has hope to contribute a win-win mode to satisfy both natives and refugees.。

开场
Faced with the biggest human exodus since World War II,this unprecedented humanitarian crisis, Some countries are trying their best to build fences, strengthen borders and shut their doors, while others are opening their hearts and homes to make sure the world does not see devastating pictures like that of little Aylan Kurdi, who washed up on a Turkish beach, ever again. We will present you some countries’s responses to the crisis and briefly point out the reason behind their action.
德国部分
Germany pledged to take in an estimated800,000refugees this year more than any other UN nation and announced$9.6billion aid package to help ease the crisis.
Time magazine even named Chancellor Angela Merkel as its person of the year for2015,hailing her leadership during debt and refugee crises.
Of course,Merkel also drew criticism, even inside her own party, for fueling the influx by giving asylum seekers the green light to come to Germany.
And because of the complexity of the issue, the German government's attitude to the crisis has changed many times over the past year.
In July,German government showed a prudent attitude towards the refugee issue.
Then a change was seen in September, after this photo drawing international attention and sympathy. And Germany showed a gesture of wide welcome.
Later on,faced with the doubled even quadrupled asylum seekers,Germany had to reinstated border controls to slow the influx.
Although Germany didn’t punish Syrians for what happened in Paris,In December14,Merkel says Germany will slow down refugee intake in everyone's best interests.
So Why did German opened their arms to the refugees and then decided to temporarily close the border?I think there are various reasons for the stands of Germany.first of all it is the history of this country where it plays a role for that kind of humanitarian decisions.Second is the industry of Germany might require labour which could be offered by Syrian refugees.Admitting hundreds of thousands of migrants will help shore up its labour base for years to come.and thirdly, just not long ago,Germany was under fire for mismanaging Greece and the entire financial crisis.it is the negative image of Germany in Europe that led Merkel start this kind of initiatives to improve that image. The refugee issue is the second chance for Germany to show that it can lead Europe into the future. However,at the same time Germany alone is not able to solve the problem and that is why they decided to close its borders with Austria and now shrink the number.
英国部分
Let’s come to Britain.Unlike Germany, the UK has no real need for more migrants.
The UK's workforce is forecast to grow, while Germany's is expected to shrink.
the dependency ratio(the proportion of expensive older people in the population relative to able-bodied,tax-generating workers)is rising much quicker in Germany than in the UK.
This helps to explain why David Cameron only pledged to take in20,000Syrian refugees over five years,a paltry figure compared to Germany.
Besides,The refugee crisis engulfing Europe is putting David Cameron's Conservative government into an impossible position. It may even trigger Britain leaving the European Union.
Long before the refugee crisis erupted, migration was one of the biggest factors in how people were going to vote in the EU referendum.
Now,David Cameron bowed to immense pressure to take on more refugees from Syria, after the publication of iconic picture of the drowned Syrian boy.
Those who are scared of more migration will see this as the norm for the EU–being forced to take more people in.
Those who sympathize with the refugees will see it as not enough.
So
Cameron is damned if he does let in more refugees, and damned if he doesn't:。
