英语读书笔记1During this term, I have read a novel The Red and the Black. The novel was written by the French writer Stendhal in the 19th century. Marie·Henri Beyle, better known by his pen name Stendhal, was one of the critical realism French writers in the 19th century 。
The military and theatrical worlds of the First French Empire were a revelation to Beyle.
