新版托福口语共包含四个题型，分别是：
1. 独立任务（Independent Task）：考生需要在45秒的准备时
间内准备自己的观点，并在45秒的答题时间内陈述自己的观点。
主题一般围绕日常生活、个人经验、偏好或看法等。
2. 综合任务（Integrated Task）：考生需要在60秒的准备时间
内阅读一篇短文或听一段录音，然后在60秒的答题时间内回
答与之相关的问题。
主题一般围绕学术内容，如学术课程、校园事件等。
3. 独立任务2（Independent Task 2）：此题型是新版才加入的，考生需要在20秒的准备时间内阅读问题并准备自己的观点，
然后在60秒的答题时间内陈述自己的观点。
与独立任务相比，该题型更加简单，主题也更加直接。
4. 整合任务2（Integrated Task 2）：与综合任务相似，考生需
要在60秒的准备时间内阅读一篇短文或听一段录音，并回答
相关问题。
但与综合任务不同的是，该题型要求考生提供两种或两种以上的观点，并进行对比、分析、评估等。

看上去很随意，考生容易拿个较好分数，但事实却是难倒了不少英雄好汉。
可何谓之难呢?接下来我们一起分析一下：(一)第一题——简单原则，即：没有对错之分，只要自圆其说即可第一题是开放性话题，内容涉及4个大方面：人、物、地、事。
要求考生在15秒钟的准备时间之后，用45秒来回答问题。
这些问题都是最身边、最生活、最简单的话题，考生只要用最简单的语言答问题之所问即可。
有些时候用一些比较复杂的词汇或者句子结构反而会成为口语熟练表达的桎梏。
因此脑海中最先闪现的词或结构就可以摘来使用，当然这些词汇和结构要求恰当、合适。
(二)考生通常遇到的问题<1>整体来看——语调缺乏起伏;流利度不够;流利但是发音不清晰，语调太平;衔接性不强。
<2>语言应用方面——用词不当(大词小用);句子结构有误;有明显的语法错误——思想混乱，三单、过去式形式错误，男女不分。
<3>话题开展方面——有理由，没细节;只有细节，没有提炼出理由;语言空洞，理由和细节不能支撑所持观点。
<4>中英转换时找不到合适且恰当的英文表达。
如果考生出现了上述所有问题，那自然分数低的“可观”;一般考生只会出现上述个别现象，所以只要对症下药，就可取得比较高的分数。
(三)解决方案1. 纠正发音必不可少————至少坚持一个月。
大家要记住：语音方面，如果不是糟糕的不可救药的话，都是可以纠正过来的，所以首先要对自己充满信心。
那么到底要练习哪些音呢?其实就是国际音标中的困扰音，即中国考生最不容易发到位的音——[ɑ:]、[e]、[ei]、[ai]、[au];考生必须对着镜子把嘴型做到位，不断读，同时也要读其相关的单词，每天至少要练习30分钟。
