Duty report是一种有效的培养学生综合语言运用能力的教学活动，时间一般在3-5分钟，合理利用好这一环节，可收到事半功倍的成效。
一、理论依据著名的语言学家Van Patten （1996）给我们提供了如下的语言习得图解模式： input（输入）→in take（内取）→developing system（完善）。
该图示中的“完善”就是输出，从“内取”到“完善”的过程即为内化。
根据他的观点，语言输入和积累是学习语言的基础，是前提。
但语言在输入之后并不一定马上就能被习得，学习者只有通过将输入的语言信息进行处理，对知识进行内化，进而实现理解性的语言输出，最终实现语言的习得，而duty report正是这一语言输出训练最好的形式之一。
二、成效初显笔者在十几年的英语教学中，充分利用好课前3-5分钟的duty report让学生做热身运动。
实践证明，短短几分钟的duty report，不仅提高了学生的听说读写能力，也培养了学生参与课堂的热情及开口说英语的习惯。
1.Duty report有助于激活英语课堂教学氛围作为课前热身运动的duty report就好比注入课堂教学的一剂兴奋剂，一开始就能把学生的兴趣和注意引导到教学过程中来，使学生产生了主动参与教学过程的愿望和热情，从而激活了课堂氛围。

Duty Report犹如奏响在英语课堂上的一首序曲，深受学生们的喜爱。
在此，本人将介绍在此方面的设计与实践。
一 Duty Report的活动内容Duty Report涉及的内容很广泛，可以按学生的年龄特点及不同的年级确定不同的活动内容。
例如，初一学生刚接触英语，Duty Report主要鼓励学生开口，让学生先向老师、同学问候，然后介绍自己的姓名、年龄以及星期、日期、天气等，或说说自己的家庭、朋友、爱好等情况。
