Lesson 61 Trouble with the Hubble一、阅读课文The Hubble telescope was launched into space by NASA on April 20,1990 at a cost of over a billion dollars. Right from the start there was trouble with the Hubble. The pictures it sent us were very disappointing because its main mirror was faulty! NASA is now going to put the telescope right, so it will soon be sending up four astronauts to repair it. The shuttle Endeavour will be taking the astronauts to the Hubble. A robot-arm from the Endeavour will grab the telescope and hold it while the astronauts make the necessary repairs. Of course, the Hubble is above the earth's atmosphere, so it will soon be sending us the clearest pictures of the stars and distant galaxies that we have ever seen. The Hubble will tell us a great deal about the age and size of the universe. By the time you read this, the Hubble's eagle eye will have sent us thousands and thousands of wonderful pictures. 对比a great deal of 许多的；大量的（修饰不可数名词）They spent a great deal of money. 他们花了大量的钱。

三、语法解析文中句子“By the time you read this, the Hubble’s eagle eye will have sent us thousands and thousands of wonderful pictures. ” 当中的will have sent… 为将来完成时的结构。

将来完成时是用在表示在将来某一时间以前已经完成或一直持续的动作。

1. 表示某种状况将一直持续到说话人所提及的某一将来时间。

By this time next week, I will have been working for this company for 24 years. 到下星期此刻，我就已经为该公司干了24年了。

I will have lived here for 6 years by next year. 到明年的时候我就住这6年了。

2. 表示对现在或将来可能已经完成动作的推测。

He is a somebody now. He will have forgotten his old friends.他现在是个要人了，可能把老朋友都忘了。

You'll have heard that China will launch another spaceship.中国将要发射另一艘宇宙飞船，你可能已经听说了。

I expect you will have changed your mind by tomorrow. 我预料到明天你就会改变主意了。

3. 表示到将来某个时间为止势必会完成或预计要完成的动作。

We shall（will）have learned 12 units by the end of this term. 到这个学期末，我们将学完12个单元。

I will have learned 4000 words by next year. 到明年的时候我就会学4000单词了。

By the time you get home, I will have cleaned the house from top to bottom. 你到家之前我将把房子彻底打扫一遍。
