Officials in India say more than 30 people are dead and at least 15 others injured after a fully-loaded bus crashed to the side of a bridge early today. Police say the bus was carrying more than 60 passengers from the western state of Goa in the predawn hours when they veered off the bridge in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra state, search operations for missing passengers continued into the day, police officials say that some people might have jumped from the bus into the river.

Today‘s attack struck a series of outdoor markets in and around the Iraqi capital, with somewhere between 28 to 37 people killed. Targeted districts include Sadr city with three car bombings as well as Ameen, Habibiya, Husseiniya, Kamiliya and Karrada. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings.

Attacks kill 50 in Iraq, and Daniel Pe arl's family hails a murder suspect's arrest. I‘m Frances Alonzo reporting from Washington.

Iraqi officials say bombings and other attacks have killed at least 50 people in Baghdad, at least 160 others were also wounded. The violence today comes on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the U.S. led invasion and a month before Iraq is set to hold its first selections in three years, the bombs today struck in multiple Baghdad neighborhoods, meanwhile, there was no immediate claim of responsibility
