范文1(据说是8分)
Nowadays, people can get almost any information from films ,books or the int ernet ,but some information can have negative influences on young people a nd even our society. The following essay discusses whether there should be c ensorship of information in society or not.
To begin with, some information is harmful for children, therefore we should pr otect children from some information. By this I mean, children are easily influe nced and they cannot distinguish what is right or real and what is wrong or unr eal, as they are immature, and hey probably imitate what they have seen. A
s a consequence, we should protect children from some information such as e xcessive violence or obscene material, so that they can grow up to be valuabl e members of society.
Another point to bear in mind is that some information which could be harmfu l to society should be censored. For example, some material that encourage s racism, violence or terrorism threatens social security, and it might lead to so me serious social problems, such as crimes. Therefore, the government shoul d ban this kind of information in films, books or on the internet.
However, people do have the right to choose what they what to know, and the y should be allowed access to most information. Further more, most adults ar e good people and will not be influenced in a negative way easily, thus they s hould have the freedom to decide what they want to know, and the governme nt should not censor all information, as the government is only a group of peo ple after all.
In conclusion, parents should strictly control what their children watch or rea d, and the government should censor such information in children’s books, fil ms or websites. In addition, the government should ban some information whi ch encourages racism, violence and terrorism, as it is harmful to society. How ever, on the other hand, since it is people’s right to choose what they want t
o know, the government should not censor most information.
范文2
As the more and more important part of our lives, media plays significant rol e. However, sometimes public may ignore its negative influence on teenager s, even our society as a whole. Here, I would like to illustrate my point of vie
w on the issue.
Admittedly, it is almost impossible to talk of our vivid lives without mentioning t he vital roles played by various medias, such as books, films and Internet. Firs t, as main entertainment and leisure methods, reading, watching films and sur fing on Internet take up our most spare time. And they become the most popul ar way to help us relax after a pressured working day. Second, we have oppor tunities to access to all kinds of up-dated information, news and events report ed by media. Thus, it is undoubted that mass medias are reshaping our live s, and influence our world in a big way.
However, we should notice that, in this moment of triumph of media, it also pr esents us realistic and potential hazards along with its benefits. To beginnin g, because of more and more vehement competition, some medias come to fu dge events for catering the appetite of a few readers and audience. More seri ously, some of them, representing their political groups or governments, may t end to report a war with bias. We become content with the second-hand exper ience. Little by little, some medias cut us off from the real world. In addition, s ome books, films and TV programs with pornographic information and glamori zing violence may poison the minds of juvenile. It is commonly believed that th ere is a definite link between violent movies and campus violence. Last but no t least, over addicting to films, Internet and TV waste children a lot of study tim e. And it is always accompanied with poor academic performance. One of m y classmate did not pass final exam last semester due to surfing on Internet to ok up his too much study time. Obviously, media bring too much negative influ ence to our teenagers, even the society as a whole.
In summary, there are still many other reasons can support my inclination, bu t the obvious ones have been represented as above. Although so many probl ems brought by media need to be resolved, I do believe that, as time passe s, governments will find a feasible way to change the situation
