全国高职高专英语写作大赛教育部高等学校高职高专英语类专业教学指导委员会于2010年上半年举办了首届“全国高职高专英语写作大赛”，旨在深化高职英语教学改革，促进对学生英语写作能力的培养，进一步关注学生英语应用能力的整体提高，推动全国高职英语教学的总体发展，展示各高职院校英语教学水平和改革成果。
