一、试卷结构合理，试卷容量略增我省大部分地区的英语试卷结构合理，在有限的篇幅内最大限度地考查了学生的英语综合运用能力。

整卷的题量恰当，平均阅读总量为4300词（字）左右（含中文），略大于2006年的阅读总量。

在考查动词时态时，能将情态动词、语态、交际用语结合起来在语境中综合考查。
单词识记和拼写能力是学习英语的基本能力，加强对单词拼写的考查有助于考生提高对单词识记能力的再认识。
除了在“单词拼写”题中直接考查考生单词拼写能力之外，不少试题出现了将单词拼写纳入其中的主观性题型，如完成对话、补全句子、看图写句、阅读简答、任务型阅读等，这些题间接地考查了考生的单词拼写能力。
