What is system software? What are the four kinds of system software program?

System software is not a single program. Rather it is a collection or a system of programs that handle hundreds of technical details with litter or no user intervention.

The four types of programs are operating systems, utilities, device drivers, language translators. What is the system unit?

A: Competent end users need to understand the functionality of the basic components in the system unit, including the system board, microprocessor, memory, system clock, expansion slots and cards, bus lines, ports, cables, and power supply units.

What is table PC? Describe the two basic types.

A: table PCs are highly portable devices that support the use of a stylus or pen to input commands and data. One type is effectively a notebook computer with a monitor that swivels and folds onto its keyboard. The other type is similar to a note book computer except that its monitor attached to the system unit and does not have a keyboard integrated into the system unit

A: Input is any data or instructions that are used by a computer.

Input devices are hardware used to translate words, sounds, images, and actions that people understand into a form that the system unit can process.

A: Output is processed data or information. Output devices are any hardware used to provide or to create output.
