For a long time, the US has led the world in higher education, quantitatively at least. The total number of the institution of higher education is about 3,300. This figure represents one institution for every 78,000 Americans. Slightly more than half of all institutions of higher education are privately supported, many of them by religious groups. There are five categories of institution of higher education in the United States: Doctoral-level institution, Comprehensive institution, General baccalaureate institution, Specialized institution, and Two-year institution.
Elementary schools teach reading ,arithmetic , and language arts such as creative writing , spelling , and handwriting . Social studies , science , music , art ,and physical education are also part of the program . Classes are held five days a week from Monday to Friday . Elementary teachers have often been trained in schools of education , and most of them have normally completed the university degree .

How can education attainment (education level reflected by school education) effect employment? Is there any relationship between education attainment and one’s chance of getting employed?

Funding
◦ American basic education is largely subsidized by state and local property taxes, and to a lesser extent by the federal government.
The major inequities: wealthy districts have ample funding for excellent schools while rural and poor school districts have fewer funds for salaries, textbooks, equipment, and school facilities.

The states, and, to a lesser extent, local school districts (校区), are responsible for the education of the children in their jurisdiction (管辖权). There is no national school system nor are there national framework laws that prescribe curricula or control most other aspects of education.

Hello, everyone, I'll talk about something about American education.First of all, in the aspect of the entrance examination , the United States does not carry out the national university entrance interconnected system. What matters to the middle school students applying for colleges is SAT short for the "academic ability assessment test" and ACT short for the "American university evaluation test". ACT and SAT examination have seven times every year. The students can according to their situation take part in a single or every test. The university will admit the student according to the student's highest scores. Because the American universities think that the highest scores explains that you are capable. Even if you get low scores, you may be influenced by various factors at that time ,such as you may have a cold and so on, which is not like the China's "the university entrance exam"- only the test can decide whether you can go to university and even one point can decide what your life will be .Secondly, from the admission standards, the college admission process in the United States rejects the simple and crude ways. It pays more attention to the student's growth process and their overall development. The admission standards are diversified .When they evaluate a student, they also pay attention tohis personal character and social work experience.Thirdly, in American universities, students are free to choose disciplines and change disciplines. It fully considers the characteristics of the development of individual student, and put the choose right to the students ,which can inspire the students' thirst for knowledge and the passion to learn. In a word, American universities are close to the needs of the students and consider all things from the students' actual conditions .They let the students select for themselves and make the students responsible for themselves. That is all, thank you!。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon! It is my great pleasure to stand before you today to share some insights into the British and American education systems, two of the most renowned and influential systems in the world. As we delve into the nuances of each system, we aim to understand how they differ and what we can learn from them.Firstly, let us explore the British education system. Known for its rigorous academic standards and traditional values, the British system has been shaping the minds of students for centuries. The British education system is divided into several stages, starting with primary education, followed by secondary education, and culminating in higher education.Primary education in the UK begins at the age of five and lasts for seven years. It is characterized by a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, as well as the development of social skills. Secondary education, on the other hand, is divided into two parts: Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16). During this period, students are introduced to a broader range of subjects and are preparing fortheir GCSE exams, which are equivalent to the American high school diploma.Higher education in the UK is another area where the system stands out. British universities are globally recognized for their excellence in research and teaching. The three-year undergraduate degree structure is a hallmark of the British higher education system, which emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and independent study. Now, let's turn our attention to the American education system. The American system is highly diverse, with a variety of educational models and structures. It is divided into four main stages: elementary education, middle school, high school, and higher education.Elementary education in the US begins at the age of five and lasts for eight years. This stage focuses on the development of basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic, as well as the fostering of creativityand critical thinking. Middle school, which follows elementary education, is a transitional phase that prepares students for high school.High school education in the US is a pivotal point in a student's life.It spans four years and culminates in the obtaining of a high school diploma. American high schools offer a wide range of courses, including core subjects such as mathematics, science, and literature, as well as elective courses that allow students to explore their interests.Higher education in the US is characterized by the four-year undergraduate degree structure, which is similar to the British system. However, American universities also offer a variety of graduate programs, including master's and doctoral degrees, which are not as common in the UK.Now, let's compare the two systems. One of the key differences lies in the length of the primary and secondary education. While British primary education lasts for seven years, American primary education spans eight years. This difference in duration may affect the pace at which students acquire knowledge and develop skills.Another significant difference is the focus on assessment. The British system emphasizes standardized testing at various stages of education, such as GCSEs and A-levels. In contrast, the American system relies more on formative assessments and grades, which are subject to a greater degree of subjectivity. Moreover, the American education system places a strong emphasis on vocational education and career readiness. This is evident in the wide range of elective courses available in high schools and the focus on internships and practical experience in higher education. In conclusion, the British and American education systems have their unique strengths and weaknesses. While the British system is renownedfor its rigorous academic standards and traditional values, the American system offers a more diverse and flexible approach to education. By understanding the differences between these two systems, we can learnfrom their strengths and work towards improving our own educational experiences.Thank you for your attention, and I welcome any questions you may have regarding the British and American education systems.。

Hello everyone。

I‘ll show you the basic education in USA.
%1 The first part is about the Education System.
(1)The Schooling Length of American basic education is a bit different from ours.
In the USA, because the educational system is constituted by the state, the educational system varies from state to state.
①“6-3-3”school system, which is the same as China,is the most accepted.
②“6-2-4”school system changes from “6-3-3”system.
③“4(5)-4-4”school system, which is considered to be better to match children's nature so that it becomes popu la r.
(2)Their educational aim is training students to be high-quality ,such as being independent and creative.
(3)About the education policy, I’d like to introduce the No Child Left Behind Act. Because of its enormous implications on education and funding, the Act has been one of the most important act on education. Basic on the principles of high quality and equity, the act has three center ideas.
①Implement educational assessment system.
(Take New York as an example, from 2007, all government-running primary and middle schools should be assessed as A,B,C,D or F,5 grades. The school rated A or B will get monetary rewards, the ones rated D or F will get punished, such as changing the leaders of the school, or even closing the school.)
②Increase the influence of parents on the school.
American government wants to ensure children can get high quality education by such ways.
③Meet the individual needs of students with special needs. So disabled children can go to school as normal students and get good care from school.
(3) The course setting. I’ll take the course of high school as an example to show you how courses set in America:
①attach much importance to humanity education
②Math are divided into several subjects, which means that their course setting are more specialized
③Acqierement is also an very important part, which is indispensable. It’s said that in America, every student in 3 grade need to learn a musical instrument and gives performance in festival and at the end of term.
%2 Part is about Education Mole
(1)To show the America’s Teaching Method,I’d compare it with China’s. one....the other (X3)
So the China’s teaching method is ,and the America’s is ....
Theory
(2)As a result ,the American students’studying method is Diversiform
%3 In the end,I will give you a brief summary to compare basic education between America and China.
Aim ,Subjuct Setting, Evaluation,Individual,Comprehensive。
