Some of the terms and parts described in these instructions may be new to you, so a few commonly used terms you’ll want to be familiar with are defined below.Altazimuth mount - the simplest type of mount, with two motions: altitude (up and down) and azimuth (side-to-side). “Mount” refers to the part of the telescope that support the tube, which carries all the telescope’s optics. Altitude lock - allows the telescope tube to be locked into place once a focused image has been set up, by tightening the two screws on the outside of the altazimuth mount.Focal length - the distance from the optical center of the lens to the point where the incoming light rays converge, creating a clear, focused image.Primary Mirror - It gathers incoming light to create a sharply focused image.Reflecting telescope – an optical design in which light is reflected off of a curved mirror that converges the lightinto a small disk that is then magnified using an eyepiece.First, you need to take the time to familiarize yourself with the parts of your PowerSeeker telescope, then assemble it, following the easy instructions provided. Secure the center leg brace to the inside of each tripod leg (10) using the screws and nuts provided.2. Connect all three tripod legs to the tripod head with the wing nut and screws as shown in Fig 2a.3. Extend the inner portion of each of the three tripod legs to the desired height. Tighten the thumb screw on theside of each tripod leg to secure them in place. See Figure 14. Attach the accessory tray (9) to the tripod by threading the screw on the bottom of the tray into the hole in thecenter of the tripod center support bracket. See Figure 3.5. After all the screws have been hand-tightened, you are ready to attach the telescope tube to the mount. Placethe telescope tube inside the altazimuth mount (6) so that the Altitude Slow Motion Rod (12) is on the same side as the locking screw (7) (Figure 2). Insert the altitude mount locking screws through the mount andthread them into the metal brackets attached to the tube. Before tightening the mount screws, attach the end of the slow motion rod (12) with the knurled adjustment ring to the side of the telescope tube and insert the rod through the eyebolt attached to the altazimuth mount. See Figure 2.A t t a c h i n g t h e A c c e s s o r i e sYour telescope comes with the following optical accessories:• 20mm eyepiece 1¼"• 4mm eyepiece 1¼ "• 3x Barlow Lens 1¼"1. Remove the caps from the focuser (13).2. Remove caps from the eyepiece and place it into the focuser (Figure 4). Lock it into place with the thumbscrew.3. Your telescope also comes with a 3x Barlow lens which triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece (seeMagnification section of the manual). To use the barlow lens, insert the barlow lens directly into the focuser. Then start by using the low power eyepiece such as the 20mm, and insert it directly into the barlow lens.A t t a c h i n g t h e F i n d e r s c o p e1. Remove the two small, silver thumbscrews located at the back of the telescope tube. See Figure 5.2. Place the finderscope bracket over the two holes in the telescope tube, lining up the holes on the finderscopebracket with those in the telescope tube.3. Locate a distant daytime object and center it in a low power eyepiece in the main telescope.2. Look through the finderscope and take notice of the position of the same object.3. Without moving the main telescope, turn the adjustment thumb screws located around the finderscope bracketuntil the crosshairs of the finder are centered on the alignment object.F i n d i n g O b j e c t s1. Loosen the altitude slow motion rod locking screw (7) and the azimuth lock (11) on the base of altazimuthmount, then move the telescope in the desired direction.2. Look through the finderscope and pan the telescope until the object appears in the field of view. Once it’s inthe field, tighten the altitude and azimuth locks.3. To center the object in the eyepiece, rotate the fine adjustment ring located on the altitude slow motion rodassembly (3).F o c u s i n g1. Once you have found an object in the telescope, turn the focusing knob (14) until the image is sharp.2. To focus on an object that is nearer than your current target, turn the focusing knob toward the eyepiece (i.e.,so that the focusing tube moves away from the front of the telescope). For more distant objects, turn the focusing knob in the opposite direction.3. To achieve a truly sharp focus, never look through glass windows or across objects that produce heat waves,such as asphalt parking lots.I m a g e O r i e n t a t i o nWhen observing with a Newtonian reflector telescope, the image seen will be correct for daytime viewing.However the image will be rotated depending on the position of the focuser relative to the optical tube. Newtonian telescopes are designed for astronomical use rather than for daytime land viewing.M a g n i f i c a t i o nThe magnification (or power) of a telescope varies depending upon the focal length of the eyepiece being used and the focal length of the telescope.The PowerSeeker telescope has a focal length of 700mm and comes with a 20mm 1¼" eyepiece. To calculate magnification, use the following formula, in which FL = focal length:Therefore, if you use the 20mm eyepiece your magnification is 700/20 = 35x. The same formula can be applied to any of your eyepieces.Magnification =Magnification through any telescope has its limits. These limits are determined by the laws of optics and the nature of the human eye. Most of your viewing will be done in the range of 35x to 120x. Higher powers are used mainly for lunar and sometimes planetary observing where you can greatly enlarge the image and the atmospheric conditions are near perfect. The images at extremely high powers magnify the image, but remember that the contrast will be very low due to the high magnification. A small amount of dust on any optical surface isn’t a problem and doesn’t need to be removed. If the dust buildsup, then use a can of compressed air and a camels hair brush to remove the dust. To remove fingerprints or other contaminants, use an optical cleaning kit or the Celestron Lens Pen (#93575).3. If the inside of the objective lens needs cleaning, it should be done by a professional. Either have your instrumentserviced by a telescope repair facility or return it to the factory for servicing.C o l l i m a t i o nCollimation or alignment of the optical system is done at the factory before shipment.1. If your telescope has received very rough handling during transport or is dropped, it may need collimation.To check if your telescope is in collimation the sketch below will help you. If you look into the eyepieceadapter (without an eyepiece) at the top of the focuser, this is what you should see. If the reflection of your eye is off center, then collimation is necessary.2. Adjustments to the collimation of the telescope can be made by turning the collimation adjustment screws (5)located at the rear of the optical tube.3. If your telescope is out of collimation, the best way to re-collimate it is with a good collimation tool. 2)调焦:先闭着右眼,用左眼看出去,转动望远镜的中心调焦手轮,直到清晰为止;再闭着左眼,用右眼看出去,调节右目镜调焦手轮(可左右慢慢旋转),直到清晰为止。

3)观察:将望远镜对准观察的目标,慢慢转动中调手轮,双眼就能很快的看清楚目标。

4)本产品不能直接用于观赏太阳,如直接观赏太阳会造成眼镜严重损失。

3.望远镜的保养方法1)望远镜在使用时,如果发现镜片上有灰尘或者痕迹,切忌切勿用水冲洗,可以用配备的擦镜布轻轻试擦,但是不能用力擦。

最好的办法是用家用棉签蘸一些酒精轻轻地试擦即可。

2)、产品不用时请按原包装装好,至于通风干燥的地方3)、望远镜属于精密仪器,切勿对望远镜重摔、重压或做其他剧烈动作。

4.望远镜的放大倍率望远镜是否是放大倍数越大越好呢?答案是否定的。

望远镜的放大倍数要适中才好,放大倍数太大,则实际视野相应减少,不宜稳定;倍数越大则需要越大的物镜进行支配,否则成像是暗淡模糊的。

物镜越大则望远镜显得笨重,双筒望远镜一般用手持,因为负重双手会抖动,不利于观察,眼睛容易疲劳,甚至引起恶心。

固定望远镜倍数太大也会因为风吹草动引起震动。

对于自己,12倍为手持极限,而且观察时最好肘部有依托,身体或望远镜依附某些固定物体。

一般来讲,倍数越大,可同时观察的区域就越小。

5、望远镜的观念误区很多人一提到望远镜都会问“这个望远镜能看多远”,实质上用多远来形容望远镜是不正确的,望远镜所能看见的距离实质上和你肉眼能看到的距离一样,只是望远镜将远处的物体拉近了,从而放大了,使你看得更清晰了而已,而肉眼所看不到的地方,光线是无法反射到你的眼睛,用望远镜也是看不见的。

In order to adequately view the compass scale in ambient light, make certain not to cover the diffuser disc.Using the Compass Illuminator Lamp:The PENTAX Marine binocular is equipped with abuilt-in LED compass illuminator for use at nightand in low light conditions. The compass housing is located on the top right side of the binocu-does not permit you to see the compass scale clearly, depressthe black power button on top of the compass hous -while the button is depressed. If the illuminator lamp is dim or does not come on, replace the batter -ies. If fresh batteries do not provide illumination, the unit may require service.Changing Batteries:Both batteries should always be changed at the same time. To change batteries, use a thin coin to unscrew the battery chamber cover, by turning it counter -clockwise. Remove the old bat-teries. Insert both new batteries properly seated with “+” facing up. Replace the battery chamber cover by turning it in a clock-wise direction; making certain itis properly sealed (to prevent penetration of outside moisture). If the binocular is not to be used for an extended time, remove the batteries. This keeps the binocular safe from battery leakage during storage. In navigation, the reference plane is typically true North which is defined as 0 degrees North. In rotating your view -ing position clockwise to a point due East (from true North), the azimuth is 90 degrees; due South the azimuth is 180 degrees, due West the azimuth is 270 degrees, and due North is referenced as 360 degrees on the compass scale.The PENTAX Marine’s mil reticle can measure theazimuth angle, altitude (elevation) angle, and can help you calculate distance from the viewer to the object, and the size of an object based on known distance from the viewer.How to Measure Azimuth Angle:In the binocular, azimuth angle is defined by the horizontal reticle scale. If the size of an object falls within the horizontal scale, select a single point on this scale as the reference, and position this mark on an outside edge of the visible object, and hold the binocular steady. Looking at the opposite out-side edge of the object, simply read off the mils as indicated on the scale. (This is the distance from one edge of the object to its other edge - in mils).ally note this location on the object. Move the same end mark of the reticle scale to meet this new refer-ence point and note the remaining distance on the scale to the opposite outside edge of the object. Then simply add the sum of each step-by-step measure-ment to determine total azimuth in mils. Azimuth can also be used to determine the distance (in mils) between two objects on the horizon. How-ever, if the distance between two objects is greater than the range on the reticle scale, a point (or points) of reference on the horizon between the objects must be present for accurate step-by-step measurement. Using the Reticle to Measure the Altitude (Elevation) Angle:Altitude is defined as the angle (usually in degrees) from a point on the horizon, to a point above or below.How to Measure the Altitude Angle:In the binocular, altitude angle is defined by the ver-tical reticle scale. If the size of an object falls within the range of the vertical scale, and is measured above the horizon, select the bottom point of the vertical scale as the reference, and position this mark on the horizon (or bottom) of the visible object being measured, and hold the binocular steady. Looking at the top edge of the object, simply read off the mils as indicated on the scale. (This is the altitude angle from the bottom of the object to its top - in mils).If the size of an object falls within the range of the vertical scale, and is measured below the horizon, select the bottom mark of the vertical scale as the reference, and position this mark on the bottom end of the object being measured, and hold the binocu-lar steady. Looking at the end of the object on the horizon, simply read off the mils as indicated on the scale. (This is the altitude angle from the horizon to the end of the object below the horizon - in mils).If the size of an object is larger than the extent of the reticle scale, the same method is employed, but by making several “step-by-step” measurements. Start-ing at an outside edge of the object, place either endthe sum of the step-by-step measurements to deter-mine total altitude in mils.Using the Reticle to Determine Distance:The reticle can be used to determine the distance from the viewer to the object.Formula:L(km)=H(m)/WL = distance from observer to object (in kilometers) H = height of object in metersW = altitude angle measured with the reticle (in mils)EXAMPLE:To determine distance, the object height must first be known or estimated. Then, measure the altitude angle with the vertical reticle scale.In this example the object is estimated to be 30m in height (H=30).The altitude angle is measured in the reticle at 60 mils (W=60).Simply divide the height by the altitude angle to determine distance.30/60 = .5The distance of the object is .5 kilometers from the viewer.Using the Vertical Reticle to Determine the Height of an Object Using Altitude Readings:You can calculate subject height using the following formula:H=D x WH= Object heightD= Distance from the viewerW = Altitude angleFirst, estimate the distance from the object being measured. Then, measure the altitude angle. Multi-ply the distance in kilometers by the altitude angle indicated by the reticle. This equals object height.EXAMPLE:The estimated distance from the viewer to the object being measured is .6km.The altitude angle is 60 mils (0-60)H = .6 X 60 = 36mThe object height is 36mUsing the Horizontal Reticle to Determine the Width of an Object Using Azimuth Readings: You can calculate subject width using the following formula:W = D X LEXAMPLE:D = estimated distance from the viewer to the object is .4km.L = azimuth angle - which is 40 mils (0-40)W = .4 X 40 = 16mThe object is 16m wide.Using the Compass:Azimuth angle can also be determined using the compass which is built-in to the right half of the binocular. It indicates azimuth (in degrees). Each graduation mark on the compass scale indicates 1 degree. The compass scale is below the reticle and is separate from it. However, the compass indicator mark is in direct line with the center of the vertical (altitude) reticle scale.Identifying Compass Headings in Degrees:North - 0 degrees (referenced as 360 degrees on PENTAX Marine’s compass scale)East - 90 degreesSouth - 180 degreesWest - 270 degreesIn order to maintain accurate compass readings, the binocular should be held horizontally and as level as possible. This insures smooth fluid movement of the compass indicator, and reduces “jumping”, “drag-ging” or binding of the scale (which can cause errors in readings). To increase accuracy, it is important to allow the compass scale to settle to a complete stop before attempting to determine headings.Setting Your Position:To verify your directional positioning (or bearings), simply rotate your viewing position until “360” is indicated in the center of the compass scale. This in-dicates the viewer is facing due North. For the great-est accuracy, always keep in mind the local variation between magnetic and true North.Locating the Heading of an Object:To locate the heading of an object relative to your position, simply align the vertical (altitude) reticle on the object and read the heading on the compass scale.Compass Illuminator:When ambient light levels are too low to see the scale, the scale illuminator lamp must be employed. However, in order to save battery power, do not use the illuminator lamp when ambient light levels are sufficient to see the scale.。

Adjusting the Interpupillary Distance (IPD)Since the distance between the eyes (specifically, the distance between the centers of the pupils) varies among individuals, the two eyepieces of the binoculars must be correctly aligned (adjusted). This is called adjusting the interpupillary distance. To adjust this distance, lift the binoculars up to your eyes (using both hands) and look through them at an object in the distance. Move the two halves of the binoculars about the hinge until you see one clear circle of image through both eyes.2. Adjusting FocusSince most people have a variance of vision from their left eye to their right eye, you must adjust the focusing e the following steps to achieve focus: (1) Close your right eye and look through the left side of the binoculars with your left eye at the subject matter. Rotate the center focusing wheel until the image appears in sharp focus; (2) Close your left eye and look through the right eyepiece (called the diopter). Rotate the right eyepiece until the image appears in sharp focus; (3) Now look through both eyepieces with both eyes open. Since you’ve already adjusted the right eyepiece, use only the center focusing wheel to refocus on a new object at a different distance.Note : Your binocular has a diopter indicator, please note the setting for later use for faster focus adjustment.Hint: Eyeglasses worn for nearsightedness should be worn when using binoculars as you may not be able to reach a sharp focus at infinity without them.3. Set the Twist Up Rubber EyecupsTwist the Rubber Eyecups up if you do not wear eyeglasses but fold them down if you do wear eyeglasses to obtain the maximum field of view. Now you are ready to use your binoculars --- enjoy the view!4. Tripod AdaptabilityThese binoculars feature a built-in tripod adapter fitting which is a threaded screw hole underneath a cap. To attach a binocular tripod adapter, remove the cap and then thread the screw from the binocular tripod adapter into the threaded screw hole. The other end of the binocular tripod adapter attaches to a photographic tripod. Mounting binoculars this way allows for added stability and comfort.5. Care and CleaningBinoculars do not need routine maintenance other than making sure that the objective lenses and eyepieces are kept clean. If repairs become necessary, they should be serviced by the manufacturer or a qualified binocular repair company. Collimation (optical alignment) is the biggest concern with binoculars. If your binoculars are roughly handled or dropped, there is a good chance that the collimation will be out and they should be serviced. Dirty objectives and/or eyepieces mean less light transmission and loss of brightness as well as unsharp images. Keep your optics clean! When not using your binoculars store them in the case provided. Avoid touching the glasssurfaces but if fingerprints (which contain mild acid) get on them, they should be cleaned as soon as possible to avoid damaging the coatings. To clean the optical surfaces, we recommend a lens/optics cleaning kit available at most photo or optical shops and follow the instructions provided closely. If you have a lot of dust or dirt accumulated, brush it off gently with a camel’s hair brush and/or utilize a can of pressurized air before using the cleaning kit. Alternately, you could use the Celestron LensPen (# 93575) made especially for cleaning binoculars. Never attempt to clean your binoculars internally or try to take them apart!6.Caution! 2用反射镜作为物镜的,称为反射望远镜.反射镜天文望远镜的优点是没有色差,但是,反射镜的彗差和像散较大,使得视野边缘像质变差。

常用的反射镜有牛顿式和卡塞格林式两种。

前者光学系统简单、价格便宜,球面反射镜在后端,目镜在前端侧面;后者光学系统的主、副镜为非球面,主镜和目镜都在后面,成像质量较好,价格也较贵。

一般说来,对天文普及工作,特别是对观测经验不足的爱好者来说,牛顿式反射望远镜使用起来不太方便,其物镜又需经常镀膜,维护起来也麻烦3既包含透镜,又有反射镜的称为折反射望远镜。

折反射天文望远镜镜兼顾了折射镜天文望远镜和反射镜天文望远镜的优点:视野大、像质好、镜筒短、携带方便。

与等焦距和同等口径的折射望远镜相比,价格还不及三分之一。

折反射镜有施密特—卡塞格林式我们一般简称施卡和马克苏托夫—卡塞格林式,我们一般简称马卡。

在坐标测量模式菜单下按 2 键,选取“2.设置测站”。
在测站数据输入显示下按 取值 键,出现坐标点号显示。 测站点或坐标点表示存储于指定工作文件中的坐标数据对应的点号。 按 ▲ 或按 使光标在位于待读取点号上,也可在按 查找 键后 直接输入待读取的点号。及查阅上一个数据,查阅下一个数据。 查阅上一页数据,查阅上一页数据。

前言,本人英语水平也不是很高,但是怀着对望远镜的热爱,勉强翻译了一下,大概意思都在这儿了,仅供参考,望请海涵。

Usage(使用方法)
1.turn the zoom lens of 1 to decide the objective multiplying power.(转动1决定物体的放大
倍率)
2.Match the objective distance of the object while turning the focus adjusting ring of 3 by
making use of the distance display scale of 5.(聚焦时利用5来与物体的距离进行匹配)Please turn the focus adjusting ring of 3 left and right and fix the focus so that the object can be seen through ocular clearly..(通过向左向右调节3使物体看的最清晰)
3.The focus can be from 35cm to unlimited distance.(焦距可以是35cm到无穷远)(Note)if
the focus is 50-35cm,please extend the object lens and match the focus.(如果焦距是35cm 到50cm,可以延长物镜的长度进行对焦)
Maintenance storage(维护储存)
1.because the lens and the prism etc.are adjusted accurately(因为透镜和棱镜已经进行小校
正),if it drops or is hit,the center will be made with excursion(如果掉下或收到冲击中心都会偏离),the field of vision will not be matched and the picture will deflect(视野将不再匹配而且图像会偏离),please use it with care(请小心轻放).
2.When the lens is dusted,please wipe its surface slightly with clean duster or lens cloth.(当透
镜有灰的时候,请用专用的清洁布轻轻的擦拭表面)
3.If the lens is polluted with oil like object,such as fingerprint etc.,please wipe it with lens
cleaner.(如果透镜被油质例如指纹污染等等,请用擦镜布擦拭)
4.Please make sure to store it at the place with no moisture and put dryer with it;besides this,it
shall be solarized at the place with good ventilation.(请确保将望远镜储存到没有水汽的地方或者将干燥剂放在一起,除此之外,请将望远镜放在通风的地方)
5.After using it on beach or on ship where there is humidity sea wind,please don’t store it in
the case with out any treatment,wipe it slightly with dried cloth after wiping salt off completely twisted duster cloth wetted.(当在沙滩,船等有潮湿海风的地方用过之后,请确保用湿的擦镜布擦去盐后再用擦镜布轻轻擦拭后再存放)
6.Please don’t use chemicals to clean the outside surface deteriorate if the chemicals are used.
(如果已经使用过化学物品,请不要再用化学物品清理被毁坏的表面)
7.Please don’t let it be wetted or drop into water. If it drops into water,please repair it by
dissembling it as quickly as possible.(请不要将望远镜打湿或者掉入水中,如果万一掉入了水中,请尽可能快的将水擦干净)

Please don’t look at the sun absolutely,if you look at the sun, your eyes may be ache and blind sometimes.(请不要直接观察太阳,如果你直视太阳,你的眼睛在一段时间内会疼

In order to protect your eyes,synthetic rubber can be used at the places that contact the eyes.the rubber contains the matter may cause allergy,peoplewho has rubber allergy will sometimes get eczema or macula,please use it after consulting doctor.
