教学过程:
Part 1 Revision (2’)
What subjects do we study at school?
Chinese, Maths, English, History, Geography, Biology, Music, Art, PE and so on. Part 2 Pre-reading
Task 1 Lead-in (2’)
Show the students some photos of our school and have a free talk.
Look! This is our school. Is it beautiful? Do you like it?
Task 2 Present the new words in the reading (12’)
1. I think our school is beautiful. It is so good . Let me show you around. Teach: so, show sb around.
2. In our school, we can see some buildings. Look at this building. Some tall trees are in front of it .Teach: building, in front of .
3. Show more pictures and teach: an art room, a hall
4. Look at this building . How many floors are there in the building? Let’s count. One, two, three, four, five. Oh, there are five floors in this building .And this is the ground floor. Our classroom is on the ground floor.It is so bright .We have a computer room too. It looks very modern. Teach: ground, on the ground floor, bright, modern.

Part 3 While-reading
Task 1 Learn Millie and her mother’s conversation by yourselves (6’)
Today is the Open Day in Millie’s school. Millie meets her mother at the school gate . She is ready to show her mother around the school. Learn the conversation by yourselves and ask questions if you have. If you have problems solving them, discuss them in groups.
Task 2 Read and practice (16’)
1. Read the conversation quickly and find out: What’s in Millie’s school?
2. Listen to the tape and finish off Part B
3.Check the answers.
3. Look at the information about Sunshine Middle School in Part B2. Read the conversation after the tape .Then complete the exercises and check the answers.
4. Please read the conversation again. Then ask the students to act out the conversation.
Task 3 Discussion (10’)
1. It’s the Open Day in our school. Suppose you are showing the visitor around our school. Please discuss in groups and make up a dialogue .
2. Ask several groups to act out their dialogues.
