Since human beings have existed in the Earth for millions of years, some scientists are curious about other intelligent forms in the universe. Some scientists attempt to municate with these life forms. However, others believe it would be hazardous. In the following essay, both views will be explored as well as my personal stance. On one hand, many scientists and evidence has proved that humans are definitely not the only creature in theuniverse, so contacting these intelligent life forms could be demanding. Specifically, other life forms also existedon other plas; some of them even have visited the Earth. For example, about several decades ago, an UFO has visiteda small town of America, and they did not attack the humans. They could have destroyed the Earth if they had despicable plans. Therefore, contacting with these unknown creatures could help us to know the outer space better, so it wouldbe beneficial for the humans to try to contact with these aliens. In stark contrast, some other scientists believe that contacting with life forms would bring danger to the humans because we barely know them. To be precise, some scientists believe that these intelligent life forms could be smarter than us, and have more advanced technologies, people cannot win the war if they invade the Earth. Take films as example, as it describes in Independence Day, aliens invaded the Earth as they were aiming at the sufficient natural resources on earth and it is totally for their own interest. Their attack caused huge damage to the earth as humanbeings have no advanced weapon to fight back.In my opinion, even getting in touch with aliens could bring dangers to humans, it is still worth trying as I believe the majority of them are seeking for peace of the whole universe and hostility is barely carried. Looking forother creatures in the vast universe is a big step for humans to explore the outer space. It could be a double-sword, bringing both opportunities and challenges. Whether aliens are dangerous dose not truly matter under this circumstance, what is more important is that earthman, us, have the ability and courage to take adventures in the unknown space and meet something new. With advancement of societal technology, certain scientists work for looking for other intelligent life forms who may not exist on the earth such as aliens. While some people argue that contacting with them is likely to bring danger to human. Therefore, the essay aims to critically discuss both views and e up with my own opinion. That a number of researchers try to find other plas’ living species has to be admitted that pursing that curiosity is one of mankind’s nature. Additionally, by exchanging ideas with aliens about historical progression and ac ademic discussion and so on, mankind’s world has the opportunity to make immense progress in modern technology by giving inspirations to scientists for pushing the frontiers of science which may solve particular thorny issues such as environmental pollution. On the other hand, as far as some researchers are concerned, it lays a solid foundation for people to possess an improved quality oflife who live on other plas in order to avoid diseases anddisasters brought by serve atmosphere pollution and doomsday respectively. While, simultaneously, others claim that touching with aliens probably breaks seemingly peaceful earth and brings unexpected danger. Firstly, it is likely that being greedy, exploitative and violent, aliens are searching for somewhere to harvest for water, minerals and fuel, contributing to meeting unprecedented risk by telling them the man’s existence. Furthermore, people know nothing of extraterrestrial intelligence intentions and capabilities so it is impossible to predict whether they will be benign or hostile. For example, earthlings will may be slaughtered and enslaved as colonized countries in the past time. From a personal perspective, earthlings can try to search for other unique life forms in various plas, but without promising to guarantee human’s lives, it would not better send messages to aliens and disturb their daily lives. Our imagination about beings on other plas has never stopped and reached its climax in such movie series like “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” in 1960s and 1970s. If other life forms do exist, an idea I strongly support, should we, as human beings on the Earth, try to reach out and municate with them?A lot of people do not like the idea of sending messages to aliens “out there”. Aording to their theory, trying to establish munication with other life forms is extremely expensive because it entails designing plex equipment and apparatus. This will consume tons of money, which should be spent solving more practical problems like medical care or education. More importantly, as these people would claim, once they receive our messages and know about our existence, the aliens may invade the Earth and eliminate us all, just like what they do in many movies and science fiction. There are others who are very enthusiastic about reaching out for aliens on other plas. They are interested in how these different life forms survive and believe their more advanced technology may well help us human beings solve our existent problems. Having been living in the universe as the only intelligent being for too long, many people find it very attractive to reach their brothers and sisters from other plas. It is significant for another reason, too. As the Earth will surely die and disappearinto the black hole as many scientists have speculated, we need to be known by our siblings on other plas so that when that day eventually does e, our future grand, grandchildren will not perish.Personally, I do not think much of the “danger” theory. If the aliens are less developed than us, they cannot be a threat to us even if they want to; if they are more developed and civilized, the probability that we are killed by them is still lower. Once the xenophobic danger is removed, I believe most of us will wele the idea of municating with the intelligent forms outside the Earth, because they can provide us with the much desired panionship and may save us when the Earth expires. When it es to the issue about the possibility of aliens’ existence on other plas, some people argue that there should be munication between human beings and other creatures if they really exist, but others believe that it may lead to some potential risks for human beings to municate with unknown life forms. On one hand, mankind may benefit from municating with other creatures if they own advanced technologies. It is true that human beings have developed numerous technologies currently, but some aspects, such as space exploration, still need to be improved. If other plas possess technologies human beings do not have, maybe they could assist us to make a progress. Thus, sending messages to them could allow human beings to have more technologies from the universe possibly. On the other hand, getting in touch with aliens may be detrimental to human beings since they may invade the earth. Countries on the earth will fight with each other because they need to acquire more resources. Similarly, if alien civilization also intended to reap some profits from the earth, space wars would be an inevitable consequence. Therefore, in order to maintain a peaceful life on the earth, human beings should be really cautious about sending messages to outer space. From my own perspective, exploring space will be a pulsory task for mankind sooner or later, but scientists should be patient before they make more breakthroughs. After all, human beings are just potent to send their astronauts into outer space for limited time and our technology is still not so mature. Also, there still exist all kinds of conflicts among countries on the earth and developing domestic economy should be the top priority for most governments to improve their citizens’ life quality. Thus, human beings may not be prepared to wele alien civilization in the current era.。

2019年10月13日雅思写作题目预测1、5.In the past, people used to travel abroad to look many differences.Nowadays, places all over the world are more and more similar. What are thecauses of the similarity? Do you think the advantages of this problem outweighthe disadvantages?Every city has its architectural character, but the similarities betweencities are more obvious these days than in the past。

In my opinion, one reasonfor this is the high price of land.In most large cities, land is scarce and consequently it is very valuable。

This has led to the construction of tall buildings which occupy only a smallarea of land while providing lots of floor space where people can live or work。

Buildings of this type are made of concrete and steel and can be builtcomparatively quickly using prefabricated materials。

They do not use localmaterials, such as stone, timber or brick. In consequence, many cities now lookvery much the same and you might not know whether you were in Brisbane, Bangkokor Berlin when you are on the street。

1In many parts of the world, children and teenagers are committing more crimes. Why do you think this is the case? How should children and teenagers be punished? It is true that juvenile delinquency has been on the increase in some countries these days. Reasons for this worrying trend vary and there are a range of possible punishments that could be applied. To begin with, the upsurge in crimes committed by children and teenagers results from several reasons. Firstly, an underlying cause is the recent economic recession which forces today’s parents struggle harder to make ends meet. They consequently find themselves having less or even no time to look after their children. This plight may result in these vulnerable individuals associating with bad peers to find other source of care and thus, children are gradually led astray. Secondly, social media also play a part. In fact, the Internet, televisions have been bombarding children and teenagers with increasing amounts of violence, nudity, hedonistic lifestyles and so on. This bombardment could make them think that drug abuse, sexual harassment, fraud for example, are socially accepted. Therefore, they unconsciously commit more crimes.Punishments for young criminals are various. Petty crime offenders should be forced to perform community service orparticipate in vocational schools specifically for criminals. The length of punishments can be reduced if they show positive changes in attitude. These two options not only create more social values but also offer them a chance of turning over a new leaf. After being released, young offenders must be kept under observation for a period of time. As for more serious crimes like mass murder, perpetrators must be sentenced to life imprisonment. This will definitely ensure a safe environment for citizens, an important factor to achieve social stability. In conclusion, there are many reasons behind the increase in juvenile crime rates and the above-mentioned punishments deserve further consideration.2019年10月10日雅思写作小范围机经预测2Social networking sites have huge negative impacts on both individuals and society. To what extent do you agree or disagree? As with all technological advances, the arrival of social networking sites presents both problems and potential solutions for humankind. Social media cannot easily be defined as good or bad. It’s influence on society and human behaviour is far too complex. On one hand, social media provides people with the ability to communicate with almost anyone on the globe. Businesses thrive because transactions can take place conveniently and quickly. Political organization has been transformed too. It is now possible for protest groups to reach millions of people worldwide, spreading important messages about a range of serious issues, from the environment to human rights. On the other hand, there is no doubt that social media sites have a number of drawbacks. Online abuse is a common problem. Instances of racism and misogyny have been reported frequentlyin the news, and social media has the unwanted distinction of providing a platform for people with vile opinions to spread messages of hate. Additionally, social media can be used by unscrupulous individuals to dupe people out of money through online scamming. There have also been reports that young children are being targeted for abuse by older individuals posing as children.Clearly, social media presents us with opportunities to connect with others and to achieve economic growth more quickly. However, in its current form, too many devious individuals are able to escape sanction or prosecution, as the internet isn’t properly regulated. Those who spread racist messages or abuse others online are not subject to the law. Until this problem is addressed, social media will continue to be abused. On the whole, though, I believe social media is broadly a force for good.2019年10月10日雅思写作小范围机经预测3Some groups, such as poor people and people from rural areas, think universities should make it especially easy for them to get access to university education. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is true that higher education is unavailable to many students residing in remote areas. So, it is suggested by some people that universities should make it easier for those groups to enroll into universities, which I strongly oppose that. I believe that they should receive the same standard as others in order to be educated in universities. There are many reasons for my argument. Firstly, it would be quite unfair for those from wealthy family backgrounds. The cause lies in the fact that they have to participate in the samecollege entrance exam nationwide under the same assessment scheme. If their counterparts from rural areas are provided privileges with lower standards, it would become an in humiliation for their efforts and commitment they have made. Meanwhile, the poorer students would take it for granted when university education is offered to them. In this case, they may end up with no academic passion and initiatives.Surely, due to the impoverty - stricken reality in many places throughout the world, some talented students fail to continue their study in itinerary education, which causes the high percentage of unemployment. However, this can be addressed strategically as long as the government can introduce some policies, like scholarship or loans, to help them get through. In conclusion, I would argue that it is unjustified for schools to help needy students to be qualified for higher education by means of lowering the enrolling standard. They should ground themselves as their peers to get access to further study .2019年10月10日雅思写作小范围机经预测4It is possible for scientists and tourists to travel to remote natural environments, such as South Pole. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? As remote natural places are expected to abound in variety of beautiful natural landscapes and resources, there is an upward tendency that both scientists and tourists become interested in going into such sites. At some level, I still believe in this development to do more good than harm.First, natural resources are important for sustaining life and providing many everyday conveniences. Any kind of resources, from oil to copper, are getting scarcer in recent decades as the rapidly developing economies require more. Hence, scientistsstarted getting more commitment on alternative energy sources from distant regions where are rich in all sorts of mineral resources. For instance, South Pole is known as the container of huge coal and gas reserve. As a result, local resources can be exploited to cater for the use for all human beings and solve some extreme resources urgency in the globe.Furthermore, many remote places’ economies are highly reliant on the travel and tourism industry. Tourists traveling around these places may increase tourism and travel industry development, and also add jobs and contribute to an area’s economy. Addi tionally, “culture” is one of the chief consumables of tourism, and experiencing unusual cultures can be educational for the visitor and highly profitable for the community. However, it should be noticed that the more people get into the distant unspoiled places, the more problems may be caused. For example, local ecosystems and environments can be affected by over exploited and land-based resort activities. With the travel decreasing due to fluctuations in the global economy, fewer people spend money on travel, leading to local recession in the places rely on tourism. Moreover, each area tries to maintain its own distinct history and culture. When these cultures come into contact with the strong forces of globalization, maintaining traditional local culture often becomes quite difficult. To conclude, I approve of that scientists and tourists visiting remote natural areas can help tap potential natural resources and ensure more people have the chances to appreciate the beautiful scenes, only if they could travel responsibly and conserve the environment and improve the well-being of local people.......。

2019年10月自考英语作文

2019年10月自考英语作文

2019年10月自考英语作文英文回答:In the realm of education, globalization has emerged as a transformative force, shaping pedagogical approaches and curricula worldwide. The advent of the internet and its ubiquitous presence have further accelerated this process, creating unprecedented opportunities for cross-cultural learning and exchange. However, with these advancements come complex challenges that educators and stakeholders must navigate to ensure that all learners benefit equitably from the globalized education landscape. One of the most significant challenges lies in language barriers. While English has become the lingua franca of global communication, many students around the world still struggle with its complexities. This disparity can create a significant obstacle to accessing educational resources and participating fully in international academic discourse. Educators must therefore prioritize language acquisitionstrategies that empower students to overcome linguistic hurdles and engage with knowledge from diverse perspectives.Another challenge in the globalized education arena is ensuring equity and inclusion. With the proliferation of online learning platforms and digital resources, it is crucial to bridge the digital divide that separatesstudents from marginalized communities. Equitable access to technology, affordable internet connectivity, and targeted support programs are essential to level the playing field and empower all learners to participate in global education initiatives.Furthermore, the globalization of education raises concerns about cultural homogenization. As curricula and teaching practices become increasingly standardized across borders, there is a risk of diminishing the value of local knowledge systems and cultural diversity. Educators must strive to strike a balance between global standards andlocal contexts, ensuring that the curriculum reflects the richness and diversity of the communities they serve.Navigating the complexities of globalized education requires collaboration and dialogue among educators, policymakers, and stakeholders. By sharing best practices, fostering intercultural understanding, and investing in research, we can harness the transformative potential of globalization while mitigating its potential pitfalls. Together, we can create an inclusive and equitable global education system that empowers all learners to embrace the opportunities and challenges of an interconnected world.中文回答:全球化教育的挑战。

2019年雅思大作文解析及范文:电脑游戏对儿童的影响

2019年雅思大作文解析及范文:电脑游戏对儿童的影响Some people think that computer games are dangerous for children in every way; Other people think that computer games help children's development. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.有些人认为电脑游戏在各个方面都会对儿童产生不利影响,有人认为电脑游戏有助于孩子的发展。

While it may be disliked by many, the modern gameindustry is a part of our world. From its humble beginningsin the 80s, the computer game industry has exploded into a10-billion dollar empire. It is a debatable issue whether these games are good or bad. In this essay, I intend to delve into the pros and cons of these games and finally give my opinion. There are many advantages of computer games. To begin with, computer games playing introduces children to computer technology. Secondly, some games provide practice in problem solving and logic e.g. Age of Empires. Video games have proved to improve visual skills. They also improve motor and spatial skills. Children who play computer games have better reflexes. What is more, these modern games make learning fun. The cost of failure is lower. This encourages risk taking and exploration. If the kid gets the answer wrong or their character dies, they just start the game over and try again. Finally, some games have therapeutic applications. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of these technological inventions. Firstly, overdependence on these games leads to social isolation as these are usually played alone. Secondly, some games have violent characters and seeing their violent acts leads to aggressive behaviour in children. Moreover, these games can confuse reality and fantasy. For example, when children play car racing games then they may race their own vehicles in real life which can lead to accidents. Finally, many games do not require action that requires independence and creativity. To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that on the whole these games are very good and certainly their advantages outweigh their disadvantages but these should be played in moderation. Parents should limit the game playing time and see to it that homework and chores are done before playing.。
