look at oneself in the mirror 照镜子 the chair with holes 带网眼的椅子 in front of 在…前面 regret doing sth. 后悔做了某事 remind sb. of sth. 提醒某人某事 can’t…too…再…也不过分 walk out of 走出 wear a hat 戴帽子 look like 看起来象
You needn’t shout; he can hear you.
You mustn’t shout; Tom is sleeping.
You needn't wait for me. =You don't have to wait for me.
(还没有等) You needn't have waited for me. =You didn't have to wait for me.

新概念英语第二册课后题答案详解:Lesson41新概念英第二册后Lesson 411. a根据文第一句‘Do you call it a hat?’ I said to mywife. 我妻子),能判断作者不喜那帽子,所以 a. didn ’t like the hat his wife had chosen是准确答案。
2. a根据文第 9-10 行‘You needn’t have said that,’ my wife answered.‘I needn’t remind you of that terrible tieyou bought yesterday’,能判断只有 a. his wife reminded him that he had bought a terrible tie与文的情况相符,是作者他妻子粗而后悔的原因,其他 3 个都与事不符,也不合乎。
3. ca. mustn't (不);b. wont(不想要);c. needn't(不必);d. don't need(不需要)4个中只有 c. needn't与后面一句It isn't necessary( 没必要 ) 的含相同,所以 c.4. da. still和d. yet都有“ ,仍然”的含,但yet 只能用于否定和疑句中,表示“ 没⋯⋯”, still 常用于肯定句中。
5. ca. needn't,b. need not, d. haven't need 都有语法错误,只有 c.

新概念英语第二册课后题答案详解:Lesson41新概念英语第二册课后习题Lesson 411. a根据课文第一句‘Do you call it a hat?’ I said to my wife. 我对妻子说),能够判断作者不喜欢那顶帽子,所以a. didn’t like the hat his wife had chosen 是准确答案。
2. a根据课文第9-10行‘You needn’t have said that, ’ my wife answered. ‘I needn’t remind you of that terrible tie you bought yesterday’, 能够判断只有a. his wife reminded him that he had bought a terrible tie 与课文的实际情况相符,是作者为对他妻子粗鲁讲话而后悔的原因,其他3个选择都与事实不符,也不合乎逻辑。
3. ca. mustn't (不应该);b. wont(不想要);c. needn't(不必);d. don't need(不需要)4个选择中只有c. needn't 与后面一句It isn't necessary(没必要)的含义相同,所以选c.4. da. still 和 d. yet 都有“还,仍然”的含义,但yet只能用于否定和疑问句中,表示“还没……”,still常用于肯定句中。
5. ca. needn't,b. need not, d. haven't need 都有语法错误,只有c.

比如:I need a car(我需要一辆汽车。);
情态动词的need和can,may等情 态动词一样,后接动词原形,但只用于否定和疑问句,肯定句用must,have to,ought to或 should。 而如果要表示“有必 要、必须”就使用must,have to,ought to或 should。
We mustn't buy things we don't need.
Ten minutes later we walked out of the shop together. My wife wa
wearing a hat that looked like a lighthouse! 我妻子戴着一顶像灯塔一样的帽子 Wear在这里是表示“穿、戴”的意思,再比如: Wear a black dress穿一件黑衣服 Wear a diamond earrings 戴一对钻石耳环 Wear the glasses 戴眼镜 Wear perfume 用香水 The girl wears too much make-up.

Eg:Need I go out? = Do I need to go out?
(6)need doing sth.

If you helped me,I would be grateful.如果你帮了我, 我会感激你(可惜你没有帮我, 我不会感激你)If it rained,it would not be hot. If you could make him change his mind, you would save him a lot of trouble.
If I were you这种说法经常用于提出建议。
If I were you, I’d accept their offer. If I were in your position, I would act differently.
If you went by train, you would get there earlier. If you go by train, you will get there earlier.
If I had longer legs, I’d be able to run faster.【Special Difficulties】Make的用法及物动词make的原义为“制造”,但它经常用于一些固定的结构,最常见的为make+(冠词)+名词形式:make progress(取得进步);make the bed(铺床);make c+onversation (找话题);make a noise(吵闹);make a promise(保证);make trouble (捣蛋,制造麻烦); make money(挣钱); make a speech(演讲);make a mistake(犯错误);make up one's mind(下定决心,拿定主意)Do的用法完全动词do也有一些固定短语:do one's best(尽最大努力);do one's homework(做作业);do sb. a favour(帮忙);do a job(干家务);do work(做家务);do exercise(做练习);do business(做生意)do还可以与动名词连用:do some shopping(买东西,购物);do swimming(游泳);do some reading (读书)【Multiple choice questions】4 She asked me to sit next to Mrs. Rumbold.‘___c___next to her,’she said.a.
