外科手术 2019年1月19日,中国一名外科医生利用5G技术实施了全球首例远程 外科手术。这名医生在福建省利用5G网络,操控30英里(约合48公里) 以外一个偏远地区的机械臂进行手术。在进行的手术中,由于延时只有 0.1秒,外科医生用5G网络切除了一只实验动物的肝脏。5G技术的其他 好处还包括大幅减少了下载时间,下载速度从每秒约20兆字节上升到每 秒50千兆字节——相当于在1秒钟内下载超过10部高清影片。5G技术 最直接的应用很可能是改善视频通话和游戏体验,但机器人手术很有可 能给专业外科医生为世界各地有需要的人实施手术带来很大希望。 5G技术将开辟许多新的应用领域,以前的移动数据传输标准对这些领 域来说还不够快。5G网络的速度和较低的延时性首次满足了远程呈现、 甚至远程手术的要求。

内容分发网络 在5G 中, 面向大规模用户的音频、 视频、图像等业 务急剧增长, 网络流量的爆炸式增长会极大地影响用 户访问互联网的服务质量 。如何有效地分发大流量的 业务内容, 降低用户获取信息的时延,成为网络运营 商和内容提供商面临的一大难题。仅仅依靠增加带宽 并不能解决问题, 它还受到传输中路由阻塞和延迟、 网站服务器的处理能力等因素的影响,这些问题的出 现与用户服务器之间的距离有密切关系。内容分发网 络(content distribution network, CDN) 会对未来 5G 网络的容量与用户访问具有重要的支撑作用。

第五代移动通信技术
第五代移动通信技术(英语:5th generation mobile networks或5th generation wireless systems、5th-Generation,简称5G或5G技术)是最新一代 蜂窝移动通信技术,也是即4G(LTE-A、WiMax)、3G(UMTS、LTE)和2G(GSM)系统之后的延伸。5G的性能目标是高数据速率、减少延迟、 节省能源、降低成本、提高系统容量和大规模设备连接。Release-15中的5G规范的第一阶段是为了适应早期的商业部署。Release-16的第二阶段将 于2020年4月完成,作为IMT-2020技术的候选提交给国际电信联盟(ITU) 。ITU IMT-2020规范要求速度高达20 Gbit/s,可以实现宽信道带宽和大 容量MIMO。 2019年10月31日,三大运营商公布5G商用套餐,并于11月1日正式上线5G商用套餐。

• 5th generation Mobile Networks are the latest cellular mobile communication technology. 5th generation mobile Networks are the extension of 4G (LTE-A, WiMax), 3G (UMTS, LTE) and 2G (GSM) systems.The performance goals of 5G are high data rates, reduced latency, energy savings, reduced costs, increased system capacity and largescale device connectivity.Next, our group will introduce our understanding of 5G mobile system.

回顾移动通信的发展历程,每一代移动通信系统都可以用关 键技术的性能指标和标志来定义。其中1G采用分频多址方 式,只提供模拟语音服务;2G主要采用时分多址方式,可以 提供语音和低速的数字数据服务;3G到码分多址技术的特点 是用户峰值速率2Mbps达到数十Mbps,支持多媒体数据服 务;以4G 正交频分多址技术为核心,用户峰值速率高达 100Mbps ~ 1Gbps,可支持多种移动宽带数据服务。
