英国大学经济与金融专业申请文书范文展示:PS篇Personal Statement xxx My aspiration for finance can be traced back to my teenage years, when my father was fascinated with stock market and I bought stocks together with him for fun. When he purchased a new one, I would ask him the bid price and expected ask price, and then brainstormed how much we may possibly get. Earning money by investment after ups and downs was a fantastic experience for me, and I came to realize that there exist rules and principles deeply rooted in finance theories and statistics, which drove me to further explore the field. Now, through three-year systematic studies in economics and finance, my interest and passion have been fully exploited and I made up my mind to pursue a career in the field of finance. The more I know, the more I want to know. In order to do further study and build a successful future career, I plan to go for advanced study in the United Kingdom, where the most cutting-edged researches and practices of financial analysis are being carried out. Luckily, I believe that I am in possession of essential qualities for undertaking both advanced training and career development in finance and economics, such as the good control of English and an always-stay-discrete attitude. I believewith those characteristics, I will surely survive through twists and turns in the world of finance. My undergraduate studies in economics have provided me with good academic foundations. Through studying fundamental theories in economics including Advanced Mathematics 95, Intermediate Microeconomics 87, Macroeconomics 80, Monetary Banking 83, Development Economics 89 and Econometrics 87 with the using of Eviews software, which enables me to establish basic mathematical models to solve problems, I have mastered a basic understanding and a clear picture of Western Economics, Risk Management Insurance, Finance, Financial Engineering, etc. Benefiting from my strength in mathematics and effective learning, I enjoyed an upward trend in the academic performance, preparing myself to be a capable student with diligent studying style. Since junior year, I began to focus on securities and futures. Supervised by my financial professor named Qingyuan Zhang who taught me Monetary Banking, I researched the stock index futures in western financial markets and its performance. Based on the research, I completed an essay to be published in National Financial Journal in Nov. 2012 where I listed the operations of stock index futures investment in western capital markets and put forward my ideas about stockindex futures investment in Chinese mainland markets. Thanks to the research, I have mastered the methodology on how to approach a problem in a logical and analytical manner. In January 2013, I have participated in Hongkong Management Trainee Plan. I had been engaged in communication and arrangement works with Harry Ho-Director of Aviva and Andy Mak-Chief Investment Strategist of Aviva, analyzing the result of GSEC Marketing Competition Simulation Contest of each group by using relative software, participating in the discussion on fund mix choice, supervising the implementation of public projects and assisting in auditing the project last-term report and grade. Besides academic excellence, I also tried to enhance my social communicative skills and leadership. For three years, I worked at student union of my university, in charge of organizing various campus activities such as music festival, arts gala, and cultural salon. I nurtured interpersonal communication skills, leading my team to complete the activity-launching tasks within limited time. I believe these skills are necessary for supporting my success in both the academic and social life in a new environment. However, it is far from enough to arrive at my destination-the field of business and management. In order to gain more improvement,I looked for a precious opportunity towork as a Futures Manager Assistant in GF Securities Zhangjiakou Branch of Hebei Province. In this company, I have learnt the relative knowledge on stock markets analysis and futures business, maintaining the existing customers by collecting the feedback from the customers and reflecting to the manager and looking for the new customers by introducing the profit and risk of the futures to the potential customers. To seek for more improvement, I work as a HR Director Assistant in Beijing Branch of Budweiser China Sales Co., LTD. I was then responsible for making the statistics of the employees’attendance rate and drawing the weekly report. New employees’recruitment and training, assisting HR director in arranging the meeting decoration, receiving the customers and helping the HR director coordinate the relations with other departments, are also what my responsibilities lie in. With my ambition grows greater, I found it a mix of challenge and fun to be my own boss. Driven by the common idea, I, together with four partners, create an offline program. I was in charge of the marketing part. My work was talking over the cooperation with catering, entertainment, hotel and training institutions besides Nankai University and Tianjin University. We designed the entity coupon for the stores and gave out them to the college student by taking advantage ofsocieties and student union. The discount activities submitted to the final discussion result with merchants. From the activity, we achieved the situation of “Win-win-win”. On one hand, the merchants could get more customers and popularities through our promotion. On the other hand, the customers got cheaper goods. In addition, our team gained certain monthly commission from the merchants. My interest and abilities indicates that a lifelong career in finance will be very appropriate for me because that is where my potential lies. In order to seek new heights academically, I would like to apply for admission into your prestigious program. I participated in the “Entrepreneurship and Leadership Seminar” held by School of Business, University of Cambridge, and four-week economics courses in Oxford University during 2012 summer vacation. I really enjoyed the open communication with professors and lecturers. With this wonderful journey where I adapted quickly to the English-based academic environment, I feel confident for mastering overseas study. Your university, with its topmost academic atmosphere, attracts me as an ideal place to pursue my master degree. The financial program has a tradition of excellence in research, education and service to the profession, which will help me to understand global capital marketing andfinancial investment internationally. With all the passion and belief to challenge myself, I am sure that I will be the best I can be if I am lucky enough to have the chance to study in your University.。

英国留学会计与金融专业PS范文Accounting & Finance personal statement 会计与金融专业个人陈述Since studying Business at GCSE level and Economics at AS level, I have developed an interest in the role of finance within businesses. Alongside my studies at school, I have also taken inspiration from my involvement in my father's part-time business. I have helped deal with some financial aspects of this business, including banking and completing annual accounts, from which I have developed several skills in working with figures and the ability to accurately handle, organise and analyse information. From this experience, I am intrigued to learn more about finance and accounting.Currently, I am studying A levels in Psychology, Geography and English Literature. I chose not to continue Economics to A2 level as the specific aspects of my other courses were much more relevant to my personal interests. Each of these subjects has given me valuable knowledge and understanding which I can apply to many other general areas. Studying Psychology has given me an insight into behaviours and attitudes in everyday involvement with people, both relatives and friends as well as within society in general. The human aspects of my Geography course have provided me with the ability to better understand important issues on a global scale. In studying literature I have learnt to communicate ideas more clearly and confidently, bothin speech and in writing.Outside of school, I enjoy reading both fiction books, mostly classic novels, mysteries, science fiction and fantasy, and non-fiction texts, generally including information about natural history and the economy. I read everyday as this is something that I find beneficial to improve my general knowledge and provides me with an opportunity to spend some time on my own. In addition to this, I have an enthusiasm for computing. I am familiar with using spreadsheets, word processors and creative software and I am also learning aspects of web design. In recent years I have learnt skills from my brother, who is a computer programmer, and I am always eager to teach myself new things. As an individual, I have always aspired to higher education at university as I have a positive and committed attitude to learning new things. The idea of moving on from school life and taking on the challenge of a degree course provides me with motivation and determination to succeed. From studying at university, I intend to develop my personal characteristics and skills and learn to apply the knowledge I gain to pursue a career in an accounting or financial profession.。

Finance is the lifeline of modern economy and if there is no finance globalization, there is no economy globalization. Finance globalization promoted to enlarge international finance market; multinational trade species and the scale, to make finance innovative appeared, strengthen international capital function and to play an important role on the resource distribution in the world. With the communication among nations increase and the technology information development, the development of finance tends to globalization. Finance globalization is the motor of economy globalization, finance and economy was one of the important factors for holding for the whole world, information, technology and other industry were developed on the base of finance and economy. The economy strength of a nation decided its place in the world. In the future, the world finance market would present themselves with different styles; non-essential economy began to play an important role in the world, the development of information industry made finance market develop more quickly. Moreover, finance influenced largely on the daily life of common people and made common people more concern the development tendency of finance then before and made out the relevant reaction according to getting information from all aspects, for example, the change of inflation, stock and exchange rate etc. All that influenced common peoples (people’s) livesand economical programs.I began to realize that finance in fact was the different (difference) between microcosmic and microeconomic and macroeconomic knowledge through my learning in the university, and it owned strong practice and was not abstract knowledge. For instance, currency banking, investment and international finance etc. all offered many cases and made me realize the meaning of finance. Then I knew that finance covered a wider scope and researcher needed strong academic background and ability on macro-control by practices and analysis of cases. For example, I acted as a leader of group, each group represents an enterprise and discussed whether open new produces instead of old produces, I told every member to answer for a part and consult materials, then we talked about them together and found some materials had superposition and didn’t have close logic, even each member had different emphasis and expressions which made me know cooperation was very important in a enterprise. So I held the second meeting to talk about these questions. I asked all members to look for materials relevant to this case respectively and then analyzed them together. During the process, we thought about them deeply and fully, finally we got a best scheme.Through this experiment, I became lover finance major than before, because it not only brought me model and data but also interest on (in) connecting knowledge with practices to make data and model vivid. Even each new idea produced different result. Finance is not a material concept but is social science, which contains a wider scope. I am very glad to involving discovering unknown things in this field. Just like discussion, many memb ers’ thoughts inspired me and we got satisfiedresults. Finance is a social science which embodied human being is the essential. We could cultivate our academic taste during the learning symposia and academic discussion process. In the practices we could cultivate intuition added combination with academic background and mathematic theory; we could understand finance better. So I pay attention to connect theory and practices more than before, in my spare time I took part in social practices, for example I vi sited “international finance” of newspaper office and “Shanghai stock exchange”, besides I took part in planning for the “second finance year meeting” in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. During the process, I met many finance people and got a chance for visiting Holland bank. Moreover I often consulted lots of finance journals and website materials etc. In order to connect theory with practices better, I carried on special researches on these problems. For example, I began to research “RMB Glob alization problem” and its aim was to review substantial economy and non-substantial economy how to influence currency international globalization from demonstration and theory angle to help us understand the experiences and lessons happened on the process of each national currency globalization and offered some feasible references for RMB international globalization. I connected the fact of our national economy development, especially, the base fact of RMB used by some nations around China, through researching the general rule of currency internationalization globalization, to discuss the problem on RMB international globalization process.First, I reviewed the main countries’ currency globalization process in the world, and found that currency globalization musthave two basic conditions. The first was rich economy strength; the second was to keep valuta long stabilization. Second, I pointed out RMB globalization was the necessity choice of our national economy persisting development and the benefit of currency globalization according to the impersonality requirement of economical globalization development, and RMB globalization would more enlarge the degree for opening to foreign. At the same time I thought that stable, quickly developmental national economy and larger economical scope made RMB of our country globalization strengthens and higher ability against risk, the last part emphasized the process of RMB globalization and the research on keeping away from risk. The process of RMB internationalization was: first implement RMB regional strategy on the basis of East Asia currency cooperation and East Asian free trade, then implement RMB globalization stratagem under many perfect factors influence. But during this process, it was very difficult for me to research non-substantiality economy in China. At present familiar to us, it was the stock market, while in China the stock market system did not very perfect and exist some problems on efficiency, security and fair. For example, I consulted many materials and knew several stages of Chinese stock issue, international paper department how to issue stock and the relative policy and system of stock market, then I asked my advisor how to comment on it and collected some comments of experts on the website. Besides I logged in MARKET WATCH and bought several stocks to do experiment to find out the conclusion that China it was more perfect, so Chinese stock market needed to be improved.Finance is very important in all fields and no other field can exist with breaking away from finance, so the requirements for financer should be improved in the future. Above all, in the future society, the requirement for financer was higher than before, the talent only mastered profession will unfit the future society. Because in China there are limit resources for me and I am impressed by your esteemed university, so I decided to go abroad for my future education.。

Helen Keller serves as a paragon that I will emulate in my entire lifetime. The beautiful things that she brought to the world with her loving heart and her strength convince me that the power of the spiritual motivation is infinite. An individual lives a meaningful live only to the extent of benefiting the welfare of others. Both my education and my five-year work experience have unmistakably made me believe that economics is a science whose ultimate function is the improvement of human welfare. The motivation b ehind my current application for a Master’s program in economics is to pursue a more fruitful career development in the future so that the process of my self-actualization will also be a process of making contributions to others. My education background makes me an appropriate candidate for your program. My education consists of two stages. From 1993 to 1995 I received a junior college education from the Business School of XX University, majoring in marketing. Then I proceeded onto an undergraduate program in the Department of Business Administration of XX University, waived of entrance examination because of my distinguished academic performance at the junior college (ranking top second among 31 students inthe class). During my undergraduate program, I continue to maintain a satisfactory academic performance, ranking top ten among a total of 51 students. Completing my undergraduate program in 1998, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in economics.Through my undergraduate program, I gained an increasingly deep understanding of the importance of economics. As far as I am concerned, economics is by no means。

I agree with those experts'' theory in that it emphasizes the connection between the circumstances of one's upbringing and one's later outlook on life. My personality, talents, values, even career choice have been profoundly influenced by my family life and upbringing in Taiwan. My name is Peter Huang and I’ve grown up in Ten-Mou, a multicultural neighborhood in suburban Taipei. During the early years of my childhood, my parents exerted a profound influence over my development. Though neither of them was involved in business, by watching their integrity and hard work, I learned more about the true meaning of success than I would ever have in any classroom. My father is an Air Force colonel. He joined the R.O.C Air Force at the age of 14, struggling to achieve his personal best as the supply division chief of the R.O.C. Air Force Academy. Unlike some officers in the military, who depended on family relationship and privilege to get promoted, my father gained his position by hard work and assiduity. He thus emphasized the importance of industriousness when it came to my education. When I was 10, I attended a speech contest. During the week before the contest, my father and I spent two hours a day together, organizing the lecture content, adjust my rhythm, and rehearsing. I was a shy, soft-spoken child, and found speaking in public difficult at first. But through my father's patient efforts and his believe in the rewards of hard work, I gradually became an excellent public speaker and won many of the contests that followed. As a result of the experiences such as this, I learned a very strong work ethic and emulated some of my father's best characteristics - perseverance and dedication. These qualities served me well as I entered mandatory military service in Taiwan and faced many difficult situations. I once led a squad to enact the typhoon disaster relief action in Nan-tou. We had one week in which to salvage a factory that was half-buried in mud. As the squad commander, I not only supervised, but also participated in the demanding and seemly endless digging work. And each night, after an exhausting work when all other soldiers were asleep, I spent extra hours checking if there were sufficient supplies and making plans for the next day's relief action. When I finally laid down to sleep, I could not help but reflect on how much I had developed, as both a person and a leader, since that first speech contest. My mother has a warm and kind personality, and has always reached out to the expatriates in our neighborhood. She organized a language exchange club with the American students in local colleges, hoping to increase understanding of Taiwanese and American cultures through the exchange of language. I took part in the club when I was still in elementary school. This childhood multi-cultural experience instilled in me an active personality and willingness to interact with people of different cultures. In particularly, it strengthened my interest in American and my desire to work and live there one day.My mother’s emphasis on international exchange and cooperation has led me to work for the Fulbright Foundation in Taipei as a research assistant. This position allows me to interact with educational associations in the United States and to take part in international conferences. I once participated in a venture capital seminar in Hsin-Chu, working on the issue of graduate level technology management education with representatives of major high-tech companies and academic institutions. Last November, I represented the Foundation in an international Tele-conference in Taipei. The conference was conducted both in English and in Chinese and was hosted by the Prime of Ministry of Education. My work has also given me the opportunity to know and become friends with exceptional Fulbright scholars from the United States. While my childhood years shaped my character, it was my high school and college years which led to my interest in business. 1988 was both a determining year to my career choices and a turning point in Taiwan's economy. As people familiar with Taiwan's modern economic history know, the exchange rate of the New Taiwan Dollar to U.S. Dollars moved from 40:1 to 25:1 in that year under the overwhelming pressure of American government. Thus meant that the traditional advantage of Taiwan's economy, low labor costs, was no longer our strength. People everywhere were talking about the future of Taiwan's economy. Out of a young man's passion, I wanted to contribute my talent and effort to my country. That was the time at which I made up my mind that someday, I will make Taiwan-made products famous world-widely, like those produced by IBM, Intel, or Microsoft. This teenage naive patriotic dream transformed into an interest in business administration and economics after I graduated from Taipei First Senior High School. I focused my college study on manufacturing administration and economics. From four years of lectures, seminars, and in-factory study in the department of Industrial Engineering at National Formosa University, I acquired skills in quality insurance, manufacturing planning and control, and factory improvement and diagnostic methods. In my economic class, I learned how prices, preferences, and incomes affect people's demand of goods from the microeconomic. I also acquired knowledge of how various factors - government policies, currency exchange rate, and balance of international trade - affect a country's economics growth. My interest in business, however, is not limited to industrial engineering and economics. In my junior year, I also took 6 credits of accounting courses and learned the knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and managerial accounting. To acquire a more thorough understand of management information systems, I chose "Alumni Association Database Management System for Department of Industrial Engineering" as my graduate activity project. From each step of developingthe database system, I learned solid skills in FoxPro programming and enterprise demand analysis.I am thankful that my parents provided me with an environment that encouraged me to develop my personality and an intellect for which I am remembered. With a deeply-instilled work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, and a high level of motivation, I believe I will enrich the professional and social environment at your esteemed Buchman School and continue to grow as a expert in high-tech industry.范文2:Due to the comprehensiveness of China’s “reform and open” policies, economics plays an increasingly important role in the development of its global position. As a senior at Beijing University majoring in Economics, I feel that my field is fundamental to the progress of my country. Yet, at the same time, I realize only too well that what I have learned as an undergraduate is far from enough. Therefore, it is my desire to pursue a graduate degree I Economics at your university. If accepted, my intended concentration would be Economic Development and Public Economics. In the process of preparing myself for advanced research, I obtained a solid academic background in mathematics, computer science and basic economic theory. In order to enhance my capabilities and further establish my background, I plan to take Probability and Econometrics as my electives during my last semester at Beijing University. During my undergraduate career I was fortunate to be able to audit several advanced graduate level courses taught by overseas professors such as Comparative Economic Systems and Advanced Macroeconomics. These classes not only introduced me to new economic concepts and theories, but also broadened my perspective and gave me new insights into the depth of my field. After over three years of studying economics and extensive reading in related fields, I have developed my own understanding of the present Chinese economy with system. I feel, and it is an idea shared by many, that the Chinese government is presently struggling to adapt a policy which would peacefully integrate the advantages of a marked economy with the current Socialist system. to a certain extent, I feel that the government has been successful in implementing this aim. However, many problems have yet to be resolved. Chief among these is the problem of rejuvenating and restructuring the large, state-owned enterprises. As a result under the Chinese socialist system, these companies not only lack a spirit of competition, but are also hopelessly overstaffed. There is a definite need to cut back on workers, many of whom are unskilled and present an unnecessary burden on these companies. The fundamental problem here is that China lacks unemployment and social security programs, which would be able to assist and re-train these workers should they be laid off. As there are no options for them, the companies are forced to retain these laborers, creating a stagnant state which limits both production levels and net profits. Whileforeign-imported goods and foreign companies were scare in China, this was not a major problem. However, the influx of foreign goods and corporations has forced China into a predicament where it can no longer afford to maintain useless employees for the benefit of the State. Should the situation here continue unchecked, China risks loosing its domestic marked to foreign companies. These ideas were the result of my field research conducted during my junior year. During that time, I studied first-hand edly China’s system of public economics and found it lacking in many ways. I feel that if China is ever to be a serious competitor in the world market it needs first to develop a more progressive system of public policies. For this, China will have to look to other systems, which have struggled and successfully handled this same problem. My goal is to continue my education in the United States where I can not only witness the dynamics of an economic system different from ours, but also study the ways in which America’s public policy could be adapted and utilized by China. In terms of global economics, China still has much to learn. The government is far from reconciling itself with many of the principles that underlie the modern market. I also feel that the Chinese situation is unique, and , that in order to be successful, policy makers must take into consideration regional characteristics, historical tradition and social psychology when defining the course of the future. However, it is also essential that the future generations of leaders, administrators and teachers learn from other countries in order to better understand the complexity of China’s role within the global economic situation. The more China’s economy is prosperous, the more it needs its own economists. Therefore, at the end of my graduate study, I intend to returnto my country and contribute to China’s economic progress. My ultimate goal is to teach introducing advanced Western research methods to my country and, if possible, tackle some of the economic problems faced by my country.I am also applying for overseas graduate study because of the fact that the United States holds the leading position in the research of my chosen field. Your institution, known for its careful and exacting work ethic and nurturing academic atmosphere, is the university I have long admired. I am confident that with your distinguished faculty and recognized facilities, my potential will develop into knowledge and experience beneficial to both the United States and China.范文3:As the Asian financial crisis continues unabated in its second year, I , an economics major trained at one of China’s best cradles of economists, feel duty-bound to pursue advanced studies. Only by so doing can I hope to make a significant contribut ion to the discourse on China’s economic development strategy as the country endeavors to dodge the economic debacle that has befallen its neighbors. I must help decipher the puzzle of how the Asian economic miracle has busted. It is my strong belief that my country can draw vitally important lessons from the failures of other Asian economies. Most of my education to date is characterized by preeminence. a graduate from the Beijing No.4 Senior High School, one of the country’s very best high schools, I did my undergraduate university studies at the University of Inter national Business and Economics, a most respected institution that specializes in training economists and entrepreneurs. At this university, I received extensive training that was both rigorous and vigorous in economics. Exercising diligence and creativity, I achieved an academic record that was the envy of many of my schoolmates. Such education should provide solid grounding for me as I seek to vault into higher intellectual domains.Upon graduation in 1997, I have been working for China National Chemical Supply and Sales Corporation, one of the country’s keystate-owned companies. I obtained the position on the strength of my outstanding academic records as well as the excellent performance I exhibited during my internship there. The job is satisfying in terms of both remuneration and prestige, but it does not give me a big enough stage to realize my ambition of making myself a prominent Chinese economist.I understand that, in tod ay’s world, the power of a nation lies in its economic strength. This is particularly so for China, which has to support almost a quarter of the humankind with only a fraction of the world’s resources and wealth. While the development of economy is essential to every country, no other country in the world has to shoulderthe kind of responsibility that China does. With an economy the size of Canada’s, China has a population that increases by a Canadian population every two years, even while it is enforcing a strict family planning rules. That means that, to just maintain the existing living standards of its citizens, China has come up with a enough jobs every two years for what amounts to the employment of every Canadian, young or old, healthy or sick. This is a daunting task that no country has ever faced. The fulfillment of this task, no doubt, calls for ingenuity.I am glad to see that China is following a path that it has chosen, first and foremost, in response to the realities within its own borders, even though it has not shunned from integrating its economy with that of the developed world. With almost 20 years of vigorous economic reforms, the Chinese seem to have struck the right balance between answering the call of accelerating globalization and defending its national interests. This balance has paid off in many ways. The country’s average economic growth rate of nearly 10 per cent for almost 20 years makes its economy the fastest growing among all major economies. The economic strength it has thus accumulated is helping it to stave off the financial meltdown that has ravaged the tiger economies. I want to know what China has done right that the other countries have done wrong and how China can build upon its impressive record so far for sustained growth in the future. Sophisticated answers to these questions require sophisticated training, which I hope I can achieve in your distinguished program. My undergraduate studies, though far from enough for my long-term purpose, have adequately prepared me for advanced research.. I am now solidly grounded in mathematics, statistics and basic theories of economics, all fundamental subjects in learning economics. I have been particularly interested in Game Theory and Money & Banking. To broaden vision, I have audited, by special arrangement for the gifted students, graduate courses like Futures & Securities Investment and International Marketing, taught by overseas professors. Through these courses, I havelearned the concepts and theories of Western economics. All this has added to my intellectual depth. With the vigorous training I received in my undergraduate studies, I have arrived at some basic understanding of the Asian economy, on which I would like to focus my graduate studies. I believe that, in spite of the breakneck growth in the 1970s and 80s of the tiger economies that gave rise to the “East Asian Miracle”, the East Asian countries failed to build up sound economic structures. Their economic growths were powered more by the injection of tremendous investments than anything else, which led to what has come to be called the bubble economies. In their rush to achieve grandiose growths targets, they set up only rudimentary systems of control over their financial industries. As a result, too many loans were allowed to be secured on overpriced real estate and stocks. Such a situation would result in grave consequences if either the real estate or stock market collapsed. When both of these markets crashed last year in one after another Southeast Asian country, their banks’ bad loans multiplied, setting off domino effects across whole economies throughout the region. The devastation was such that, more than a year after the crisis began, few people in Asia can see any light at the end of the tunnel today. The big question in the Asian crisis is now on China. In the face of the Asian crisis, China has demonstrated remarkable strength and courage. Unlike in most other East Asian countries, the economy in China is still growing, and the Chinese currency is still stable. The difference is spelt, I believe, by the measures that China has taken in preventing the occurrence of a bubble economy. The Chinese government has not rushed to bless run-away speculation on the stock market, as some other Asian governments seemed to have done. Foreign investments, of which China has received more than any other country except the US, have been carefully channeled into infrastructure projects and industrial production. This, along with the inconvertibility of the Chinese currency on the capital accounts, has prevented the kind of capital flight that has underminedthe financial systems in other Asian countries. Amazingly, China has become a powerful stabilizing force in Asian economies, although the country has been faulted by some in the West for not having embraced the free market concept as readily as other developing countries did. I think the stark contrast between the success of a somewhat more controlled economy and the failures of the free market economies begs for many questions. The story on China is of course not over yet, nor will it be anytime soon. With the deepening Asian financial crisis mounting more and more pressure on China, the Chinese government and businesses are desperately trying to maintain economic growths while continuing the country’s structural reforms. We do not yet know whether China will in the end be able to tough out the current crisis that keeps knocking on its doors. Even if China can survive this round of crisis unscathed, it will have to continue integrating its economy further with that of other countries, thereby exposing itself more and more to the capricious forces of the international financial markets. In the process, Chinese economists will have to meet the challenge of answering difficult questions, questions that may not have been asked anywhere else. I would like to be one of those meeting this challenge. In applying for acceptance into your program, I hope that, more than learning the staid concepts and theories of economics, I can sharpen my insights when treading on unmapped territories. I am attracted to your wide range of course offerings and the varied backgrounds of your faculty members. I am confident that, under your seasoned guidance, I will give full play to my intellectual potential in academic research. It should come as no surprise to you if I become one of the foremost authorities on the Chinese economy a few years after I graduate from your school.范文4:A graduate from a management program who has worked in sales and promotion for four years, I now would like to pick up my academic career as an economist. By so doing, I hope that I can eventually play a leadership role in China’s ongoing economic r eforms.I did my undergraduate studies at the Beijing-based Northern University, one of the country’s top institutions of higher learning.I entered into this university in 1990 on the strength of my performance in the National University Entrance Examinations, held once every year to screen high school graduates for post-secondary education. My scores in these exams were so great that they constituted the highest total in my county, which made me something of a celebrity in my whole province. With my education at the Northern, I was solidly grounded in the fundamentals. Studying industriously, I had an overall GPA of 3.3, the fifth highest in our department. My GPA in the courses of my major was even higher, standing at 3.7. I was granted the “Excellent Studies Prize” in 1991 and the “Outstanding Undergraduate Student Scholarship” by the Dept. Of Management in 1992 and 1993.I did not limit myself to academic studies at the university. Campus life was colorful, an I made full use of all the opportunities to enrich myself. As a freshman, I worked for the Information Department of the university’s Student Union. My performance was such that I was appointed the head of the department for a term of two years between 1991 and 1993. The position gave me a platform from which I founded two periodicals, the “Management Brief” and the “Future Entrepreneur”. In these periodicals, I wrote profusely about topics relating to the economic reforms and general business management. To fund these publications, I led a group of students in offering computer training programs to the unskilled, which was unique on our campus then. All this not only enriched my student life but also helped me to improve my ability in many ways. One of the benefits is that I became an effective writer. In a 1992 composition contest, I was awarded the first-class prize for my essay. Thanks to my reputation as both a distinguished student and a student organizer, I was offered a job at the university in 1994 after obtaining my bachelor’s degree. I first worked at the Sales Department, responsible for product sales and advertisements. Now , I am the director’s assistan t, responsible for wage management, bonus management, drafting regulation and so on. Four years of working experience has taught me how to put textbook skills and knowledge into practice. All the while, I have been improving my academic qualifications. I now wish to study abroad to further my academic career.Knowing that computers are essential for doing sophisticated research, I made special efforts in mastering computer technologies. I trained myself in a host of programming languages, including the BASIC, Pascal and FoxBASE. Using my programming skills, I have designed a “Personnel Management Information System” and a “Sales Management Information System”, which have markedly improved efficiency in my office. Building on the computer skills I learned as a student, I have in recent years made myself versed in FoxPro, Access, and Visual Basic. Mow I am planning to design a comprehensive management system for my institute to improve management efficiency.Taking part in various academic activities to hone my ability to do research is an indispensable part of my strategy to improve myself. In the past four years, I have taken part in a number of research projects, including the “External Economics for Rese arch and Technology (R&E) Development” project at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the “International Business Management Bibliography” at the Tsinghua University and the “Washing Machine and Refrigerator Market Research” project for the International Consulting Ltd. The more I take part in these activities, the more I feel I need to study further. My interest in economics was first ignited in my undergraduate years, when I was listening to a lecture “Planned Economy ad Market Economy” by the preeminent Chinese economist Li Yining ,a professor of the Beijing University, a few blocks away from my university. The thinking hedisplayed in that lecture on the Chinese economy was so sharp and intriguing that I have focused my academic interest on economics ever since. To pursue my this interest, I took a number of economics-related courses, such as Political Economics, Industrial Economics, Technological Economics, Management Economics, Economic Law, Marketing and Market Research Finance. I also took the care to train myself in mathematics fundamentals, such as Liner Algebra, Probability and Statistics, I ndustrial Statistics. Books like “Western Economics” and “Comparative Economics” have been my favorite reading materials. By taking these courses, I learned new economic concepts and theories, and thus broadened my perspectives and sharpened my insights.New perspectives and insights are what China needs as it continues its reforms and modernization drive. Unlike developed countries in the West, which have practiced market economics for several hundred years, Chin has been trying to adopt market principles for only twenty years. The problems waiting to be solved are so many and so complex that even the bravest of the brightest can feel daunted. As the country tries to restructure and rejuvenate its larger, state-owned enterprises, a host of challenges, not the least of which are financial crisis, unemployment, inflation and so on, are rattling the nation. Nobody seems to be sure what China will face a few years down the road. Can China keep growing? Or will it suffer irreversible setbacks? On top its domestic problems, how will China cope with the international competition? To help answer these questions, I need to further refine my expertise in e conomics. I hope to become one of the country’s own economists armed with a sophisticated understanding of both the complex reality in China and the general market principles and theories that apply throughout the world, like it or mot. Your institution, with a highly qualified faculty, is the university I have long admired. I am confident that, under your seasoned guidance, I can give full play to my potential and realize my career goal.。

craved, while helping me to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. also my concern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue this subject for my higher education, as i believe law plays an essential role in the changing nature of society.my upbringing has honed my perception of society and people leading me to be acutely aware of social injustice, inequality, exploitation, discrimination, and religious fundamentalism, especially in a society such as the one i come from - bangladesh. i possess a desire, to struggle if necessary through my life in establishing a society which will be free from exploitation and inequality. as such, i have chosen to study law, for i believe the proper implementation of law is the only potent weapon to obliterate injustice. i believe throughout the history of the world, working classes have been deceived by the upper class bourgeoisie and the elites - my ultimate goal in life is to establish the rights of the socially deprived classes. i always have wondered why law has not been used to raise the voice of the working class, and why it has been used to safeguard the interests of people who are exploiting. i seek a new definition of human rights – the true definition, without exploitation and corruption colouring the notion. my greatest wonder is why our society and the legalsystem, do not point out economic exploitation as an abuse of human rights; for it is the root of poverty, which elicits crime. if the creation of law is to curb injustice, why has it not been used to eradicate this injustice? taking law as a subject for higher education will hopefully help me find answers to my questions, and will teach me the proper method of implementation.i am someone who is passionate to evaluate problems. i am not an extremist but i do not hesitate to resort to radical measures if the situation forces it. i believe, in a society, co-operation is more desired than competition; competition doesn’t necessarily bring rapid prosperity. i adhere to a socialistic political ideology, and aim to devote myself in establishing true socialism. i am from a country, which has been subject to military dictatorship for over twenty years after her independence. my political consciousness grew during the time, when my father was imprisoned by the military just because he was a leader of a political party who opposed military regime. police and military jointly ran a brutal campaign throughout the country to repress politicians, where they imprisoned and sometimes killed thousands of students, politicians, professionals, workers, and even soldiers. these incidents severely affected my family, making my childhood a turbulent time. after the military regime failed, a western style democratic political structure was set up, which gave nothing, yet increased the discontent of the masses, and created some elites, who virtually control the country. wealth and power both are centralized to them, law is a puppet in their hand, and they control everything, from economy to politics. millions of people live below the poverty level, and there is nobody, not one strong and resilient political party to represent them. extreme form of capitalism has taken over ourcountry’s social and human values, and morality is at the brink of extinction. corruption is everywhere, human rights abuses are innumerable, political repression is paramount, money is power and power is everything. this indisciplined violent condition of my country created a rebellious nature within me that is why i have set my ambition to restructure the socio-political structure of my country in a radical way. i would like to utilize the knowledge i acquire from my life at university and beyond to clarify and show me the proper way of implementation of my thoughts.i have proved myself as an efficient and responsible student through primary and secondary school, i have been able to maintain and improve my grades, which are consistently good. currently i am undertaking a’ levels in history, government & politics, and bengali. being an ambitious and inquisitive person, even after completing a foundation programme with an overall a grade, i have chosen to do three a’ levels in one year to study in one of the top british universities. history has always fascinated me; though this is the first time i am studying this subject in detail. in government & politics, i am learning about the procedures of law making and the system of politics and government in different countries. languages have always been of interest to me, and my favoured loyalty is to my mother tongue - bengali.i have spent my time productively on extra curricular activities. i have keenly taken part in debating, student politics and acting in television dramas. i headed my school’s debating society for one year and independently achieved many prizes in speech competitions at local and national levels. my hobbies include reading, playing cricket and table tennis, web browsing, etc.the principal reason for my desire to study at uk is the quality of teaching here and particularly in my chosen subject, law. i also find exciting the prospect of joining a university hee with international flavours and exceptional research facilities. i believe university is a place for accumulating more interests, for meeting people, for working hard, for finding a niche in life. i feel i have the commitment and confidence of giving my best during my university career and afterwardshistory personal statementmy most important aim for the next few years is to further my studies of history. studying the subject at gcse and a level has extended my interest in social and european history, and how this relates to world history. the subject has enhanced my understanding and interest of current affairs and contemporary issues, which i enjoy following closely. as a student of history, i aim to extend my analytical and presentational skills. once given an area to study, i like to research independently, but also working with others. my time at sixth form college has enabled me to improve my reliability, punctuality and ability to work individually, while coping with the demands of exams and deadlines. the as levels i selected; english, geography, history and politics complemented each other well, enabling me to use the knowledge of one subject to develop my understanding of another. they have also extended my abilities in research, essay and report writing. my as results proved pleasing, after analysing my results, they have given me realistic targets for the year ahead.i have evaluated my progress of my first year in order to findweaknesses in exam and study technique and i am working on these for a hopefully successful outcome for the years ahead.in addition to my academic studies, i have achieved qualifications in first aid, and i feel confident to administer first aid in unlikely situations. over the past two years, i have helped with a youth holiday scheme connected with my church where i had responsibility for looking after and helping children. in my spare time, i enjoy reading non-fiction books, and travelling to see many parts of the country. my duke of edinburgh award scheme enabled me to deal effectively with decision making within a group.out of college, a part-time job at a newsagent, over the past two years has given me responsibilities such as dealing with customers, stock and large amounts of money, and also being organised and punctual. at my secondary school, i helped to set up a student council, as i felt that there were student issues that needed to be dealt with. other responsible positions i have held are both prefect, and fifth year representative at my previous school, and form representative on the student council at my present college. work experience at an estate agent in cambridge gave me good experience of working in a city and commuting, and also insight into an area of business. i hope to travel and work at an orphanage near to jakarta, which i have maintained links with, and also to new zealand. my career prospects are left open for now, but i do have interests in research and education.my main priority for now is to complete my a levels to the best of my ability and to go on to university, not just for the degree but for the entire experience it has to offer and i look forward to moving on, learning and meeting new people.。

Statement #1(工科生范文)My interest in science dates back to(追溯到)my years in high school, where I excelled in(擅长于)physics, chemistry, and math. When I was a senior, I took a first-year calculus course at a local college (such an advanced-level class was not available in high school) and earned an A. It seemed only logical that I pursue a career in((追寻某方面的职业)electrical engineering. When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of engineering courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in(加强某方面的兴趣)engineering. I've also had the opportunity to study a number of subjects in the humanities and they have been both enjoyable and enlightening, providing me with a new and different perspective on(提供新的角度)the world in which we live.(兴趣来源)In the realm of engineering, I have developed a special interest (发展某方面的兴趣)in the field of laser technology and have even been taking a graduate course in quantum electronics. Among the 25 or so students in the course, I am the sole undergraduate. Another particular interest of mine is electromagnetics, and last summer, when I was a technical assistant at a world-famous local lab, I learned about its many practical applications(实际应用), especially in relation to microstrip and antenna design. Management at this lab was sufficiently impressed with my work to ask that I return when I graduate. (后续计划)Of course, my plans following completion of my current studies(完成当前课业后的计划)are to move directly into graduate work toward my master's in science. After I earn my master's degree, I intend to start work on my Ph.D. in electrical engineering. Later I would like to work in the areaof research and development for private industry. It is in R & D that I believe I can make the greatest contribution(做出卓越的贡献), utilizing my theoretical background and creativity as a scientist.(对学校和项目的欣赏)I am highly aware of the superb reputation(一流的声誉)of your school, and my conversations with several of your alumni have served to deepen my interest(加深我的兴趣)in attending. I know that, in addition to your excellent faculty, your computer facilities are among the best in the state. I hope you will give me the privilege of continuing my studies at your fine institution.Statement #2(文科生范文)Having majored in literary studies (world literature) as an undergraduate, I would now like to concentrate on(集中于)English and American literature. (表明个人兴趣)I am especially interested in nineteenth-century literature, women's literature, Anglo-Saxon poetry, and folklore and folk literature. (介绍过往经历)My personal literary projects(个人文学项目)have involved some combination of these subjects. For the oral section of my comprehensive exams, I specialized in nineteenth century novels by and about women. The relationship between "high" and folk literature became the subject for my honors essay, which examined Toni Morrison's use of classical, biblical, African, and Afro-American folk tradition in her novel. (后续计划)I plan to work further on this essay, treating Morrison's other novels and perhaps preparing a paper suitable for publication.(详细的研究计划)In my studies toward a doctoral degree, I hope to examine more closely the relationship between high and folk literature. My junior year and private studies of Anglo-Saxon language and literature have caused me to consider the question(思考问题)of where the divisions between folklore, folk literature, and high literature lie. Should I attend your school,(虚拟语气)Iwould like to resume my studies of Anglo-Saxon poetry, with special attention to its folk elements.(学术和职业目标)Writing poetry also figures prominently in my academic and professional goals. I have just begun submitting to the smaller journals with some success and am gradually building a working manuscript for a collection. The dominant theme of this collection relies on poems that draw from classical, biblical, and folk traditions, as well as everyday experience, in order to celebrate the process of giving and taking life, whether literal or figurative. My poetry draws from and influences my academic studies. Much of what I read and study finds a place in my creative work as subject. At the same time, I study the art of literature by taking part in the creative process, experimenting with the tools used by other authors in the past.In terms of a career, I see myself teaching literature, writing criticism, and going into editing or publishing poetry. Doctoral studies would be valuable to(珍贵的)me in several ways. First, your teaching assistant ship program would provide me with(提供某人某物)the practical teaching experience I am eager to acquire. Further, earning a Ph.D. in English and American literature would advance my other two career goals by adding to my skills, both critical and creative, in working with language. Ultimately, however, I see the Ph.D. as an end in itself, as well as a professional stepping stone(专业的垫脚石); I enjoy studying literature for its own sake and would like to continue my studies on the level demanded by the Ph.D. program.。

Personal StatementApplication Programme: Environmental Science or EngineeringApplicant: xxxxxMy first impression towards the subject environmental science was from the big event shocked Chinese people even the whole world—2008 Wenchuan Earthquake of Richter Scale 8, which caused lots of people losing their houses and beloved ones, among which includes my classmates. That disaster was like an alarm bell, reminding people about the importance of the environmental problems and also let me realize that the environmental disaster was actually very close to our life. From that year on, I began to pay much attention the subject of environmental science. My academic background of undergraduate period in xxxxxx University was the four years study in Physics major, which let me have solid foundation of science knowledge systematically and precise thinking style. Being the best one has been my character which pushes me to have a good academic record. As result of my own endeavor and the amazing university life, I kept being one of the top students in my class. Through the studying period in physics, I have mastered the basic theoretical knowledge in physics and related research methods, which will definitely benefit me a lot for my further study in environmental science. In my postgraduate period, I hope to learn the knowledge and special research method in environmental science by combing my mathematical and physical knowledge learnt from undergraduate programme and apply what I learnt to the area of how to solving the specific problem in environment. Moreover, I can make recognition and analysis from another perspective different from those students who majored in environment in their undergraduate period, which can make supplement for some limit in knowledge. At the same time, I can learn new thinking style and method to solve problem from them to make up what I am lack of. This kind of learning can broaden my vision, break down the limits of subjects and help me to pursue my future career in that field. During my undergraduate period, I also spent some time in traveling and see the beautiful and breathtaking sceneries in the nature. Nevertheless, the relationship between human and environment is so harmony which really amazed and fascinated me. While in most developing countries like China, the environment pollution problem is becoming more and more serious as the speed in economic development is becoming very fast. P eople’s heath is badly threatened. Whenever I think of this, I felt it would be great to do something on it by using the knowledge and technology learnt in school. I have become increasingly fascinated by environmental science or engineering as a scientific discipline and my decision to pursue it as my lifelong career is reinforced.Actually, in the beginning environmental science or engineering is merely a sunrise industry in my opinion and represents one of the developments which can offer many opportunities and developing space for young people who are determined to contribute to this industry. Whereas, with deeper and broader knowledge of environmental science or engineering, I discover that environmental problems are too severe to escape and human beings have to face it and solve it immediately. It has been far from limiting to desertification and climate transformation, in spite of these, many facts of environmental damages have astonishes us, such as heavy mentalpollution, water pollution, and marine conservation problems. Environment protection and improving have been my responsibilities as a residence of earth, due to which I try my best to enhance myself in academic field. Moreover, I also attend many events which are related to environment conservation. What worth to mention was that I had participated in a project of field practice together with the students from geological college. Although what I did was some basic jobs such as collecting rock examples and drawing simple geomorphologic map, I still had deep impression since I had a personal experience of the working environment of the geologists and applied what I learnt to the practice. After the practice, I also joined in the team work of writing the research paper and finished the thesis the Research Development and Significance of Orogenic Extensional Tectonics. That experience let me get a general knowledge of the research method of environmental field and inspire me to do further study and research in that field. In my mind, America is the most suitable country for me to study environment science or engineering as a renowned environmental friendly country, researchers or normal residences all have strong sense of environmental protection. Moreover, as far as academy is concerned, not only environment related subjects, but also other programmes all set up environmental protection modules to strength the view point and actions of sustainable development and environment protection. Apart of these, your university equips me with advanced technology which is prerequisite in environment engineering. Your programme has featured all the advantages and gave us chance to use our knowledge in the real world such as developing countries which attracts me. I can not wait to contribute my intelligence to your programme, communicating with elites from all over the world and enrich my life. Therefore, I have faith that I have made a right choice for my life.Facing the challenge of the increasingly serious environmental problem, China absolutely needs large number of professionals in that field. I believe the challenge is also the opportunity for those students like me who would like to further my study in that field and throw myself to solve the problem by sustainable way. For my future plan, I hope to master the strong ability in research technology and method through the postgraduate study in environmental science and apply those theories and technologies to those unsolved problem that have significant impact with peoples life, such as model building of global warming and the processing technology of water and air pollution. In my career life, I will do related jobs in that field at first to accumulate practical experience and finally become elite in my interesting field. To sum up, I am a young person with ambition for environmental industry and strong learning ability to confront any challenges in the future. Please give me the dreamed opportunity to lay a solid foundation to contribute myself to environment.更多留学问题请咨询小麦姐:QQ1344314558Magic Essay留学文书服务中心:Personal StatementBy xxxxx“One more try”, a folk rhyme taught by an American literature professor, would haunt around my ears and injected me great courage when I feel depressed by frustrations and obstacles. I believe as long as I never give up whenever facing challenges and difficulties, I will make it finally and achieve my dream in my life. When I am about to finish my undergraduate study, I gradually have a clear plan about my future, that is, to have further study on economics and become elite in the related industry. The year 2007 witnessed my smooth enrollment in xxxxxx University, which is a comprehensive university with the rank of 7th around China and provides students an international environment as well as focusing on the development of students academically and spiritually. During the undergraduate period, my major Accounting taught me how to understand financial statement, how to analyze the financial index and how to management a company persistently and steadily. Due to my intelligence and hard-working ability, I always keep top level among my classmates and gained high remarks in my core modules such as Microeconomics, Finance, Macroeconomics, Advanced Financial Accounting and Information economics. Although I have good performance in my major, I still hold strong interest in Economics. In my mind, we don’t live in an unchanging economic environment but should notice the importance of economic alteration to the overall situation of company’s operation. In my four years college studying, I worked hard towards the goal of training myself as a professional in economic field. In order to challenge myself and make full use of time, I took every chance to absorb knowledge about economics. Apart from my excellent performance in major course studying, I was also good at math related courses and attended many math courses in mathematic department, which I think is helpful for my future economics studying. I believe the solid foundation in accounting and basic knowledge of economics will help me a lot in my postgraduate study. As a student with clear plan towards my future, I caught every opportunity to participate in extracurricular research projects and internship work in order to practice my social ability. In the sophomore year, I took an active part in our professor’s project on Chinese Saving Behavior, from which I learned much about the quantitative method in economy by applying knowledge to the real cases and witnessed the rigorous standards in data collection through conducting surveys. During the research process, I was praised by my professor with my strong quantitative skill, effective ability in dealing with the practical problems and strong leadership in team work. Later, I published an empirical accounting article focusing on how educational backgrounds of independent director in a board affect the company’s performance on a core journal Economic Views. During the thesis writing period, I firstly spent much time in collecting material and data from CSMA data base and from internet. When I did research and analysis to the data, I metproblems that I can’t include the ideal conclusion whatever different models I tried. However, I d idn’t give up but try another angel. By deleting all data of the financial industry and doing deeper research on the other data, I finally got good result and finished my thesis on high quality. The publication of thesis proved my research ability and improved my confidence in academic study in postgraduate programme.Besides the academic study and research experience, I also paid much attention to apply knowledge to field work through taking internships. Among my several internships in taxation firms, national banks, and future company, I gained the most from the work in Accounting Settlement Department of Bank of Communications, which is the 5th national bank in China. Under the guide of the manager of risk controlling, I took charge of forming report on the cases of customer and constructing the framework of financial statement, independently accomplished tasks sharpened my analytical skills and abstract abilities dramatically. Upon the competition of the internship, I gained praises from colleagues and l eaders in the bank. What’s important is that I have improved my cooperative spirit, communicative skill and problem-solving ability. What should be mentioned in my undergraduate period was also the colorful life outside classroom. The experience I held to be an exchange student to Sun Yat-Sen University gave me different teaching style, which focus on the case-study and pay much attention on oral presentation. The cultural exchange experience to Kyungpook National University in Korea broadened my international horizon and brought me many foreigner friends who struck me with various opinions and lifestyles. The volunteer work in the 105th China Export Commodities Fair, the 2009 Northeast China Export Fair and 2010 Asia Games let me have personal experience to communicate with different kinds of people and witness how an exhibition can attract many visitors as well as how to make systematic organization in every aspects. I believe those experience will all benefit me a lot in my future study and work.Regarding to the reason why I choose economics as my major in the further study, I have my own points. In my opinion, economics is a rigorous discipline to which I find myself intensely attracted. It is inspiring how the formal and analytical nature of economics can be used to tackle such distinctly organic and complex concepts as welfare relating society. As my four-year undergraduate study has raised my strong interest in conducting in-depth research in economics, I still believe it is necessary for me to search further study in economic field so that I can have solid academic background when I pursue my future career. Xxxxx University as my first choice has great attractions including the rigorous attitude towards research, the authentic faculty in the class, and practical courses offered. The small size of class ensures students efficient and timely communications with professors as well as quick feedbacks.I believe your program would provide me with the learning opportunities to explore the cutting-edge knowledge and research in economics as well as the best opportunity to make use of my knowledge to fulfill my career life in economic area. Your serious consideration to my application will be deeply appreciated.。
