Object clause serves as an object of a verb or an object of preposition in a complex sentence. Predicative clause is placed after linking verbs serving as a subject complement or an adjective complement of a complex sentence. Appositive clause follows a noun closely, explaining what the noun actually is. The nouns mainly refer to: conclusion, evidence, fact, hope, idea, news, opinion, problem, reason, and truth, etc..

Noun clause is a complex sentence. A noun clause is a dependent clause that functions as a noun and thus used as subject, object, predicative or appositive in a sentence. Noun clause can be subdivided into four subcategories: Subject Clause, Object Clause, Predicative Clause and Appositive Clause.
Subject clause serves as a subject of a verb and thus is placed before a verb. But in most cases, the word “it” is borrowed as an empty subject; hence subject clause is placed after the main clause.
