Practice Makes Perfect
A well-known proverb goes"Practice makes perfect ",which means tha t perfection lies in practice. Wi thout practice, you can never expect to be really good at anything. On the contrary,the more you pr actice, the more likely you are to do things in a perfect way.
Taking a look around, we can find examples too numerous to list.The study of English is a case in point. If you wish to improve your pronunciati on, you must practice pronouncing every English syll able again and again. Likewise, if you want to wri te an excellent composition, you have to sit down and write. Another example is Deng Yaping, the worl d No.1 female Ping-pong player. This short girl, wh o does not seem to be cut out for sports, owes h er success to painstaking and perseverant practice.
In short, practice is essential if we want to make achievements in our studies or work, or indeed in any other aspect of our life. Practice, to so
me degree,can make the difference between being me rely good at something and becoming a champion.
Haste Makes Waste
A famous saying goes "Haste makes waste", which means that one should do everything step by step. Even simple operations can easily be spoiled if w e rush to complete them, neglecting important stages in the process. One should make full preparations before beginning any task.
Taking a look around, we can find examples too numerous to list. The best illustration might be English study. Without a good command of pronuncia tion, we can never hope to speak in an understanda ble way.
