Topic 1: Friendship

1. Do you have many friends? How important are they to you?

(1)Yes, I have. I have lots of friends, some of them were my classmates in the middle school and some were only my schoolmates. Nowadays, some of them are around me, but most of them are far away from me. We contact each other by telephone

or internet.

(2)I even can’t live without them. when meeting some happy things, I need them to share ; while meeting some sorrow things,

I need them to help me to relieve myself .

2. What is true friendship? What kind of friends do you think are true friends?

(1)True friendship is based on warmth, trust and

understanding each other.

(2)True friend is the one that whatever difficulties you meet, they never abandon you and they always try their best to help you. True friend is the one who know all your shortcomings but also tolerate you and scold you when you make mistakes. True friend is the one who is willing to share your happiness and

your sorrows whenever you need them.

3. Do you differentiate between your friends? How?

(1)Yes, I do. I differentiate my friends in bosom friends and ordinary friends.

(2) To bosom friends, I usually share my sorrows and happiness with them, when I meet troubles; I often turn to them to ask

for help. To common friends, most of them are far away from me, we contact each other by telephone or internets only talk some common topics such as weather or some news.

4. What kind of people do you want to make friends with? Why?

(1)I’d like to make friends with the person who is kind-hearted, sincere, honest and caring.

(2)A kind-hearted person is easier to understanding us and tolerates each other’s shortcomings. Sincere and honest

people is more reliable, we can talk with them all my real feelings, and never afraid of that they may betray us, we

can believe them totally, so we can communicate with each other well.

5. How do you make friends?

It is only by chance. When I meet some people occasionally

and have the right feelings. I will find some topics to talk with her or him. If I feel comfortable while talking with him

or her, I will consider to contact with him or her; if not, I won’t take any step next.

6. How can we keep friendship alive?

Don’t try to keep our friendship alive only by gifts; Communicating with then regularly to know more about their conditions and care their happiness or sorrows; Sharing our happiness and sorrows with them, keep them informed about ourselves; Remembering the important days in our friend’s

life, don’t forget to call them on that day and send your wishes to them.

Topic 2: Culture

1.What is culture? What are your opinions on culture?

(1)Culture is a reflection of our social life. The culture

must have a little change to come up with the development of our society.

(2)Culture is something that we can’t see it, but it always

around us. Maybe we have known a variety of culture, such as eating culture, clothes culture and customs and so on.

2.What do you think is interesting in your culture?

There are many interesting things in our culture. On the Middle Autumn Day, we can get together with our family

members to have some snacks and enjoy the moon. On Spring

Festival, we also can have a big dinner with our family and always play some games during the dinner.

3.Who in your culture do you admire most?

Chairman Mao. He was a person who came from a poor family but became successful eventually. He was brave and

confident, he never gave up whatever difficulties he had

met, and he always solved the proble m positively.

4.What does it mean to be polite in your culture?

Influenced by the traditional culture, our country is a

polite country. Respecting our parents and teachers and

people who is older than us is considered to be polite;

when we disturb others, we should make apologies to others;

when we want to enter others’ house, we must ask the host whether we can come in.

5.What do you think is important when visiting other countries?

(1)We should know and can speak their language so that we

can communicate with the native people convenient.

(2)We should know about some customs about the country, so

we can respect their culture well.
