Among countless factors that influencechildren's growth, the behavior of adults plays asignificant role in shaping children's inclination andcharacter. After the baby is born, the first and thenearest adults are his/her parents. Although thebaby is just slur pronunciation, the little baby hasstarted to learn from their parents by observing and copying the adults' talk. This learningenvironment is important for the babies. There is a special case reported by the press. A baby was abandoned when she was born. Asow fed her as a piglet. When she was about eight years old, some villagers found her, herintelligence was just similar to the two-year old baby and all of her behaviors were looked like apig. From this case, we know child is a "mirror" which will reflect the behavior of the closetadults.Along with the children's growth, adults will influence them much more, such as logicalthinking, making decision, cooperation with others, etc.. The behavior of adults can givechildren both good and bad influence. Most of the behaviors represent adults' inclination. Forinstance, if media report chiefly on the shadow side of the society, children will easily incline toviolence and excessive sex. Therefore, they will be infected with bad mental state.Behavior is a direct and convincing method to teach children. Things are easier said thandone. Parents always tell children those principles repeatedly, but most children can not acceptit through these boring method. Adults' behavior is the most effective education method tolet them observe the whole process of how to deal with the problems. The children will learnfrom you naturally.Children are like young trees, they need to be carefully irrigated, fertilized and trimmed.Your behavior will be greatly helpful to shape them into useful talents.雅思大作文题目:some people say that the subject ofinternational news should be taught insecondary school, other people say that it is awaste of valuable school time, discuss bothsides and give your opinion. We know that a lot of fundamental and usefulsubjects, such as mathematics, languages, chemistryand physics had been applied in secondary school fora long period. But nowadays, some people proposethat the subject of international news should also betaught in secondary school. For my part, I think, before we add a new subject to our secondary school education system, both advantages anddisadvantages of the subject need to be considered deliberately. On one hand, the subject of international news really bring about a lot of benefits to thesecondary school students. To be a modern and open-mind person, the knowledge of basicscience will not adequate for his or her future career, other kinds of knowledge, such as theknowledge of society, the knowledge of laws is also required in his or her practical work, otherwise, he orshe will meet lots of problems that he or she could not handle. Consequently, secondary school is supposed to play not only the function of providing students withsystematic and disciplined basic science knowledge, but also play the function of helpingstudents to be more social, more open-mind and more competent in their practical work. Wecould hardly imagine that a modern person claim no idea about the great event happened inthe world. So, it is quite reasonable to add the subject of international news in secondaryschool to make the students more competitive for the society. On the other hand, spending too much time on the subjects irrelevant with basic sciencecould be regarded as a waste of valuable school time for the students in certaincircumstance. We know that the main function that secondary school play is to help studentlay a solid literature foundation and provide them with necessary preparation for his futureeducation (university,college,etc.). Accordingly, secondary school is supposed to put their focuson the content and improvement of teaching basic science. As for social subjects, such asinternational news, the educators and school managers need to arrange a proper portion oftime in teaching them and provide students with a more reasonable and perfect secondaryschool system. In conclusion, the subject of international news need to be taught in secondary schoolbecause of its great importance, however, it is plausible to teach this subject at a properportion of time. Topic: Function of education. (Academic subjectsand other subjects)Thesis: Schools should make a balance betweenboth ratherthan only emphasizes on academiclearning. What is the most significant factor in influencingthe shaping of characters and personality of a child?Do academic subjects really render everythingnecessary for children's all-round development? Most schools put major emphasis onacademic teaching because it is believed that academic subjects can guarantee better futurecareers. However, in fact, other subjects such as literature, music and sports, are more crucialto children's development for they can give children many things beyond academic learning, including teamwork spirit, endurance and healthy physical body.It is true that academic subjects can teach children some fundamental knowledge andthey can get further education and skills with such knowledge. But I don’t think academiclearning can necessarily ensure better future careers. Academic learning is like the fundamentalstructure of architecture, it can only be improved and perfected by some other decorations, andthat means it is supplementary subjects that can refine a child's development.Learning literature can make children sensitive to things around them and teach them to becareful observers; music can tell children how to relax them selves and get inspirations throughthe power of it; sports can build strong wills and bodies for children for it shows to them thespirit of endurance and teamwork. We know that all these qualities are badly needed inchildren's social lives in the future, especially when they get along or work with other people, when they confront difficulties or obstacles, and so on.What our society needs are not people who know nothingbesides their textbooks, butpeople who know how to apply what they learn, know how to appreciate and endure in theirlives, that means people with full sensibilities and practical skills; all these are not things childrencan learn from academic subjects. In conclusion, I think schools should reach a balance between academic subjects andother ones, so that we can expect new generations with all-round development.。

Describe the problems it may cause and give the possible solution.

Sample answer:Many cities and towns built a few hundred years ago have become obsolete now, no matter how brilliant they used to be, for they are no longer suitable for life today. In my view, these cities and towns may cause three kinds of problems. At the basic level, they can no longer provide satisfactory conditions for our modern existence. A bit more than 100 years ago, people did not use buses or cars, so the city did not have broad streets; people did not travel by train or airplane, so the city was not equipped with any railway station or airport; most people shopped in the stores near their homes, so the city did not haveto have shopping malls or supermarkets. As more and more people rush into urban areas, the city has expanded with the population, and modern urban people would find themselves unable to survive without the broad streets, the train, the airplane and the supermarket. Meanwhile, cities and towns built centuries ago do not have enough entertainment and sports facilities available to contemporary city dwellers who, relieved of the manual labor by the technological advances, suddenly find they have a great amount of free time. For example, these cities and towns are not likely to have 3-D or IMAX movie theaters for movie fans, or huge stadiums for sports fans. Consequently, people may find their life in such cities and towns are most boring and tedious. Finally, the cities and towns constructed long time ago cannot possibly have anticipated the negative effects of environmental issues brought over by our modern life, so they usually have residence area, industrial area and business area all mixed up without separating them. This is, of course, unbearable to our urban life style today. While the century-aged cities and towns may carry much cultural and historical value, they must be re-constructed in the interest of people living in them today. The city infrastructure must be reshaped and include such facilities as shopping centers, sports stadiums, wide streets and pavements and provide services like metro, train, and airplane. And to minimize the unfavorable effects of modern life on urban populace, the cities and towns should be set the areas apart by their respective functions.。

Some people think that media should not report detail of crimes to the public. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
What are the responsibilities and limits of the media for reporting the truth of social crimes? This question arouses a big controversy in society. Some people suggest reports of crime details should be forbidden. Personally, I fundamentally agree with this assertion, and my reasons will be presented as below. The primary reason of approving of this argument is that disclosing crimes details would place a whole society in risks. Surely, when reporting crime details, there are knowledge and skills necessary for committing crimes. In other words, by watching such reports, these would-be criminals, especially the young ones, can be taught how to plan and carry out illegal activities. For example, if the details about cyber crimes are publicized, then the young audience will know the technology of hacking, as well as the flaws of fire walls of computers. As a result, many of them would breed an idea of imitating this process of offence in a real world by themselves, and a higher rate of such crimes would be expected in the future. Besides, to some extent, reporting crime details is improper, because it contains some sensitive private information. For example, in cases of rape, names and pictures of female victims must not be published in newspaper or TV news cycle. Otherwise, the basic rights of human privacy would be challenged and disrespected ruthlessly, and these victims would be hurt again by the media.Lastly, I have to concede that detail reporting is reasonable on certain level. For one thing, the revealing of crime details are good lessons which provide useful anti-crime knowledge and experience to the public. For example, after watching and understanding the whole process of how an offender commits a crime, the viewers can realize by what ways and strategies they can defend themselves well, or prevent these unwanted situations.。
3 2-1The chart below shows the amount spent on six consumer goods in four European countries.Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below. The chart shows that Britain, among the four European countries, has spent most heavily on the range of consumer goods included. In every case, British spending is considerably higher than that of other countries, only in the case of tennis racquets does another country, Italy, come close. In contrast, Germany is generally the lowest spender. This is most evident in photographic film, where Germany spends much less than Britain. Germany only spends more than another country, France, in two cases: tennis racquets and perfume.Meanwhile, France and Italy generally maintain middle positions, averaging approximately similar spending overall. Specifically, France spends more on CDs and photographic film but less on tennis racquets than Italy does. Italy’s spending on personal stereos is only marginally than that of France, while spending on toys is equal between the two.It is clear from the data give that there are some significant differences in spending habits within Europe.剑3 2-2When a country develop its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?Overall, I disagree with the opinion expressed. I would like to begin by pointing out that traditional skills and ways of life are not automatically of one country, but of a culture or community..In many ways, the history of civilisation is the history of technology:from the discovery of fire to the invention of the wheel to the development of the Internet, we have been moving on from previous ways of doing things. Some technologies, such as weapons of mass destruction, are of negative impact. Others, such as medical advances, positively help people to live better or longer, and so very much help traditional way of life. Surely, few people wouldseek to preserve such traditions as living in caves!Interestingly, technology can positively contribute to the keeping alive of traditional skills and ways of life. For example, the populations of some islands are too small to have normal schools. Rather than breaking up families by sending children to the mainland, education authorities have been able to use the Internet to deliver schooling online. In addition, the Internet, and modern refrigeration techniques, are being used to keep alive the traditional skills of producing salmon; it can now be ordered from, and delivered to, anywhere in the world. In conclusion, without suggesting that all technology is necessarily good, I think it is by no means ‘pointless’, In any way , to keep traditions alive with technology. We should not ignore technology, because it can be our friend and support our way of life.剑3 3-1The charts below show the levels of participation in education and science in developing and industrialised countries in 1980 and 1990. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below. The data shows the differences between developing and industrialised countries participation in education and science. In terms of the number of years of schooling received, we see that length oftime people spend at school at school in industrialised countries was much greater at 8.5 years in 1980, compared to 2.5 years in developing countries. The gap was increased further in 1990 when the figures rose to 10.5 years and 3.5 years respectively. We can see a similar pattern in the second graph, which shows that the number of people working as scientists and technicians in industriallsed countries increased from 55 to 85 per1000 people between 1980 and 1990, while the number in developing countries went from 12 to 20.Finally, the figures for spending on research and development show that industrialised countries more than doubled their spending, from $200bn to $400bn, whereas developing countries actually decreased theirs, from $75bn down to $25bn.Overall we can see that not only are there very large differences between the two economies but that these gaps are widening.剑3 3-2In many countries children are engaged is some kind of paid work. Some people regard this as completely wrong, while others consider it as valuable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibility. The issue of children doing paid work is a complex and sensitive one. It is difficult to say who has the right to judge whether children working is ‘wrong’ or ‘valuable’. Opinions will also differ as to ‘learning’ benefits: no doubt teachers and factory owners, for example, would have varying concerns. An important consideration is the kind of work undertaken. Young childrendoing arduous and repetitive tasks on a factory production line, for example, are less likely to be ‘learning’ than older children helping in an old people’s home. There are health and safety issues to be considered as well. It is an unfortunate fact that many employers may prefer to use the services of children simply to save money by paying them less than adults and it is this type of exploitation that should be discouraged. However, in many countries children work because their families need the additional income, no matter how small. This was certainly they case in the past in many industrialized countries, and it is very difficult to judge that it is wrong for children today to contribute to the family income in this way.Nevertheless, in better economic circumstances, few parents would choose to send their children out to full-time paid work. If learning responsibilities and work experience are considered to be important, then children can acquire these by having light, part-time jobs or even doing tasks such as helping their parents around the family home, which are unpaid, but undoubtedly of value in children’s development.。
Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To whatdo you agree or disagree?Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about environmental protection and regard it as one of the most important challenges. However, whether only governments and big firms have resources and powers to preserve our environment is a controversial issue. My view is that every single citizen could also make a huge difference. In the first place, it is clear that it is human activities that have the greatest impact throughout the history. Both environment contamination and conservation are the long-term process, and no single government or big company can meet this challenge alone. So whoever created the problem should be responsible for solving it; environment protection needs every one of us to continuously participate in.Moreover, the public’s wills and behaviors have critical influence on government’s policies and companies’strategies. For example, if everyone says “no” to plastic shopping bags and paper cups, the companies that manufacture such products will switch to environmental-friendly substitutes in order to survive in the market. However, that is not to say that governments and large companies cannot positively contribute. Indeed, governments can enact laws and introduce programs to raise the public’s low-carbon awareness; companies can promote green products to change the public’s consuming habits. But they also need every citizen’s appreciation and support to bring good results. In sum, no effort is too small when we are protecting the environment. Meanwhile, local authorities and organizations must shoulder their responsibility to develop low-carbon economy at the macro level. Only by doing so can we assure that we could hand this beautiful planet to our next generation and the next generation after.TASK 2: 高分范文二-----ArgumentationThe Internet has dramatically altered our lives over the past few decades. Although some of these changes have been negative, the overall effect of this technology has been positive. What are your opinions on this? The Internet has brought significant changes to our lives in recent years. However, there remains some disagreement as to whether the overall effect of this technology has been positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the contrary, I personally believe that the benefits of the Internet far outweigh its drawbacks and these benefits are twofold.First of all, it is an indisputable fact that the Internet has revolutionized the way we communicate. Despite the risk of social isolation-a problem occasionally seen in people who spend too much time at their computer terminal rather than relating to people in the real world-most of us have benefited greatly from e-mails and Internet chat programs like MSN Messenger. These incredibly useful and powerful tools of communication facilitate both contact with loved ones in faraway places and global trade. Moreover, the Internet has placed the entire world (and all of the information in it) at our fingertips. In earlier times, conducting research entailed long hours searching library shelves. Now, however, the same information can be accessed at the click of a button. Admittedly, not all of the information available on the Internet is reliable or helpful-there is a vast amount of material online that some would consider offensive or dangerous, ranging from pornography to instructions on how to make bombs. Nonetheless, I would contend that this free flow of information has generally been a very positive development.By way of conclusion, I once again reaffirm my position that the Internet has had a positive impact on modern life because of its influences on communication and the flow of information.TASK 2: 高分范文三-----ReportWith divorce rates and family breakdowns increasing globally, it is generally accepted that families today are not close as they used to be.Discuss the causes of this problem and offer some possible solutions to it.Divorce and family breakdown were virtually unheard of just 100 years ago. Now, however, almost half of all marriages fail. This phenomenon is symptomatic of the growing distance between family members in modern society. In this essay, I intend to explore the sources of this problem along with some possible solutions to it.Chief among the causes of this problem is the modern lifestyle. Today’s parents have to work harder than those of previous generations to support their families. Traditionally, one parent assumed the role of breadwinner, while the other-typically the mother-acted as the homemaker. Recently, though, double income families have become the norm. Consequently, an increasing number of children now grow up in a parentless environment. Little wonder, then, that they feel alienated. Another contributing factor is the passive and solitary nature of many modern forms of entertainment. In order to solve this sense of alienation within families, I believe we must first address its root causes. Perhaps the most effective method of doing this would be for governments to offer financial incentives to parents who choose to remain at home and take care of their families. Admittedly, such incentives would probably not fully compensate couples for lost income; however, they would at least soften the hardship of living on a single income and provide an alternative for parents who would rather remain at home but are unable to do so because of financial constraints. One further measure would be to promote more interactive leisure activities in the community through public education campaigns. In conclusion, I believe that this is clearly a problem of such complexity that no solution is likely in the short term. However, I believe that the measures outlined above would constitute a good first step.Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully justified while other think it is unfair. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. As a result of constant media attention, sports professionals in my country have become stars and celebrities, and those at the top are paid huge salaries. Just like movie stars, they live extravagant lifestyles with huge houses and cars. Many people find their rewards unfair, especially when comparing these super salaries with those of top surgeons or research scientists, or even leading politicians who have the responsibility of governing the country. However, sports salaries are not determined by considering the contribution to society a person makes, or the level of responsibility he or she holds. Instead, they reflect the public popularity of sport in general and the level of public support that successful stars can generate. So the notion of “fairness” is not the issue. While those who feel that sports stars’ salaries are justified might argue that the number of professionals with real talent are very few, and the money is a recognition of the skills and dedication a person needs to be successful. Competition is constant and a player is tested every time they perform in their relatively short career. The pressure from the media is intense and there is little privacy out of the spotlight. So all of these factors may justify the huge earnings.Personally, I think that the amount of money such sports stars make is more justified than the huge earnings of movie stars, but at the same time, it indicates that our society places more value on sport than on more essential professionals and achievements. In many countries, the proportion of older people is steadily increasing. Does this trend have more positive or negative effects on society? In more and more developed countries we see the following trends: incomes rise, people get married later and have fewer kids. The result is the demographics change and the population ages. While having more old people sounds like a good thing (as they tend to be kind and warm-hearted), it can have a serious impact on economies and societies.Co nsider, for example, that in order for a country’s GDP to grow it needs to produce more goods and services each year. With an aging population and more people retiring, fewer are left to work, creating an economic hole. The result is that such countries have to rely on immigration to fill the gap and this is a less-than-desirable solution.Consider also, that as more people reach their twilight years they will face increasing health problems and this puts huge pressure on health care and other social programs. In most countries the government pays for at least some of the costs of health care, not to mention things like pensions, all of which means a big bill someone has to pay for.To be fair, however, we should be careful not to direct our anger towards old people themselves. Old people can still make contributions to society, whether it means helping look after grandchildren, working part time or even doing voluntary work. On an individual level, old people can be a real treasure. To sum up, governments should recognize the challenges of an aging society and take the appropriate action. But in addition to fixing the short-term impact of an older society, they should also look at the bigger picture and do their best so that in the future we have a better age balance.。

Remote work, once a niche concept, has exploded into a mainstream phenomenon, irrevocably altering the landscape of employment. This report delves into the driving forces behind this trend, exploring its multifaceted impact on individuals, businesses, and society at large. The surge in remote work is propelled by a confluence of technological advancements and evolving societal values. The proliferation ofhigh-speed internet, collaborative software, and cloud-based platforms has effectively dissolved geographical barriers, enabling seamless communication and collaboration regardless of location. Simultaneously, a growing emphasis on work-life balance and employee well-being has fueled the demand for flexible work arrangements. Individuals are increasingly seeking autonomy over their schedules and work environments, prioritizing personal fulfillment alongside professional obligations. For individuals, the benefits of remote work are manifold. The elimination of commuting translates to significant time and cost savings, affording greater flexibility and control over one's day. This can lead to improved work-life balance, allowing individuals to better manage personal commitments and family responsibilities. Additionally, remote work empowers individuals to curate their ideal work environment, fostering increased productivity and job satisfaction. However, the isolation associated with remote work can also pose challenges. The lack of face-to-face interaction can lead to feelings of loneliness and disconnect, hindering team cohesion and collaboration. Moreover, the blurring of boundaries between work and personal life can result in burnout and difficulty switching off. Businesses, too, stand to benefit from embracing remote work. The ability to tap into a global talent pool expands recruitment possibilities, enabling companies to secure specialized skills that may not be readily available locally. Additionally, remote work often translates to reduced overhead costs associated with office space and infrastructure. Furthermore, studies have shown that remote employees tend to be more productive and engaged, leading to improved business outcomes. However, managing a remote workforce also presents unique challenges. Maintaining company culture andfostering a sense of community can be difficult in a virtual setting. Additionally, ensuring data security and protecting confidential information requires robust cybersecurity protocols. The rise of remote work has significant implications for society as a whole. The decline of traditional office spaces could reshape urban landscapes, potentially revitalizing suburban areas and smaller towns asindividuals relocate for affordability and lifestyle preferences. Additionally, the flexibility offered by remote work can empower marginalized groups, such as individuals with disabilities or those living in remote locations, to participate more fully in the workforce. However, concerns regarding the potential for increased social isolation and the exacerbation of existing inequalities must be addressed. Ensuring access to reliable technology and fostering digital literacy are crucial steps towards creating an equitable remote work ecosystem. In conclusion, the rise of remote work represents a transformative shift in thenature of work. While it presents both opportunities and challenges for individuals, businesses, and society, its impact is undeniable. As we navigatethis evolving landscape, it is crucial to proactively address potential pitfalls and harness the power of remote work to create a more inclusive, flexible, and fulfilling future of work.。

The high demand of consumer goods has led to thedepletion of natural resources as well as environmental degradation. How to reverse this situation should be paid more attention and both the government and individuals should take responsibility for this. The past decades have witnessed the expansion of human population, which results in the ever-growing requirement for various products such as food, clothing. Not only does this cause the decrease of natural resources, but also contributes to environmental deterioration. An example of this is that people cut down more trees for disposable chopsticks and furniture, leading to deforestation in many areas. This further causes some problems like soil erosion, droughts and change in temperature.Another reason is that people lack environmental awareness. Otherwise, they would not live a throw-away life and cause some avoidable waste or pollution. A large number of people have not yet realized the importance of recycling, nor are they conscious of the households appliances can end up in landfill sites and these non-biodegradable products can have a destructive effect on the environment. To cope with this problem, governments should firstly try to raise public’s awareness for environmental protectionand recycling. Besides, they should also invest heavily in some renewable energy resources such as nuclear, solar or wind energy. Meanwhile, citizens should make an effort to consume less and recycle more and classify rubbish in order to reduce the damage of waste. To sum up, the increase of world population and insufficient environmental consciousness are associated with the issue stated. And to combat with it, every member in the society should take actions.

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below. You should write at least 150 words. In this analysis we will examine three pie charts. The first one is headed ‘World Spending.’ The second is ‘World Population’ and the third is ‘Consumption of Resources.’ In the first chart we can see that people spend most of their income (24%) on food. In some countries this percentage would obviously be much higher. Transport and then housing are the next major expenses at 18% and 12% respectively. Only 6% of income is spent on clothing. In the second chart entitled ‘World Population’, it is not surprising to find that 57% of people live in Asia. In fact China and India are two of the most populated countries in the world and they are both situated on this continent. Europe and the Americans account for nearly 30% of the total, whilst 10% of people live in Africa. Finally, the third chart reveals that the USA and Europe consume a huge 60% of the world’s resource. To sum up, the major expenditure is on food, the population figures are the highest for Asia and the major consumers are the USA and Europe. The two graphs show that oil was the major energy source in the USA in both 1980 and 1990. It is manifest from the pie charts that coal, natural gas and hydroelectric power remained in much the same proportions. On the other hand, there was a dramatic rise in nuclear power, which doubled its percentage over the ten years. Oil supplied the largest percentage of energy, although the percentage decreased from 42% in 1980 to 33% in 1990. Coal in 1990 was the second largest source of energy, increasing its proportion to 27% from 22% in the previous decade. Natural gas, the second largest source in 1980 at 26%, decreased its share very slightly to provide 25% of America’s energy ten years later. There was no change in the percentage supplied by hydroelectric power which remained at 5% of the total energy used. Nuclear power the greatest change: in 1990 it was 10%, twice that of the 1980s. 篇⼆:雅思⼩作⽂饼状图范⽂ This lesson will provide you with tips and advice on how to write an IELTS pie chart for task one. To begin, take a look at the pie chart below and the model answer. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The pie charts show the main reasons for migration to and from the UK in 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words Sample Answer The pie charts illustrate the primary reasons that people came to and left the UK in 2007. At first glance it is clear that the main factor influencing this decision was employment.Having a definite job accounted for 30 per cent of immigration to the UK, and this figure was very similar for emigration, at 29%. A large number of people, 22%, also emigrated because they were looking for a job, though the proportion of people leaving the UK for this purpose was noticeably lower at less than a fifth. Another major factor influencing a move to the UK was for formal study, with over a quarter of people immigrating for this reason. However, interestingly, only a small minority, 4%, left for this. The proportions of those moving to join a family member were quite similar for immigration and emigration, at 15% and 13% respectively. 出题形式为“what are the reasons and provide solutions”我们可以从1) Why;2) Result;3) Solution三个方面来写文章。
3) Solution? 1,3(1, 2) Nowadays, people always throw the old things away when they buy new things; whereas in the past, old things were repaired and used again. What factors cause this phenomenon? What effects the phenomenon leads to?(1, 3) Many species of plants and animals are dying out. What are the causes of this trend? How can we prevent it?
