The story happened in New York city in the 1850s .In that period ,NewYork experienced the rapid growth and development ever since 1626,when Peter Minuit of Dutch West india company bought Manhattan island (New York city) form the indians for beeds and trinkets worth $24 it was destinated to become an international centre.
