Our class have had a debate on whether it should be torn down. Ten percent of us think it should be torn down. They think building new roads is necessary for our society to develop quickly and cultural heritage should give way to the social development if necessary. Sometimes the old-fashioned walls are not in harmony with the modern beautiful cities.

However, ninety percent of us hold the opposite opinion. They think ancient city walls are of great historic value and they are the symbols of the city in some way. What’s more, cultural heritages can benefit the cultural exchanges of all the countries.

In my opinion, I think we should protect the cultural heritages in our country. They can encourage people today to work hard to create more cultural treasures.
