励志英语演讲稿范文Hello:everyone!Now I want to talk about a beatiful world!When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city.We counld hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. Thestreets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was!But that only was a dream of mine!How I wish that it would be come true! So Ithink we should do something to protect ourenvironment. Everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.Taking care of our environment is very important.Wherever you live,you can do something around your neighbourhood.Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?Have you ever drawn pictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever cut down trees?If your answers are "No",itmeans that you have already helped protect our environment.It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. You might ask yourself,"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles forrecycling?Have I ever planted any trees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes",it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment.Now I want to say :Let's do our best to make our world more beautiful!The past two days are special for the 7.23 million examinees and their parents. It is the National College Entrance Examination Gaokao in Chinese. Based on the current education system inChina, the result of the two day exam greatly impacts the future of any students in China. The score will decide whether you can receive college education. For most places in China, only halfof the students are eligible for college education only 3.40 millionwill be admitted to colleges in 2021 and the rest has to start work afterhigh-school. In cities like Beijing andShanghai, students are lucky enough to have a much higher ratio more than 70% to enter colleges.Tsinghua, Peking University, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University are among the first class in China. But only very few people can go there.To enter a college or not, or to enter a good college or not directly impact the first offer they can get after graduate and impact their career. So it is the most critical time for students.Isaac recorded the "No Honking During Gaokao" sign. I saw the same sign near Henan Rd. and Zhaojiabang Rd.. Not only honking is not allowed. All construction sites around schools were orderedto work in limited time in the recent 10 days. Thousands of policemen are working around schools to make sure there is no noise or traffic jam during the two important days. Taxi drivers evenoffer free ride to transport examinees and their family.We all kno w Tagore.This famous Indian poet once said, “Life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” As the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it.However, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. In fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. Therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse andworse.Do you often use batteries? Then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? And just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in hiswhole life. The facts and figures are amazing. So would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? If possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they willbe made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. Sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figuresthat everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.We, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. For example, our class set up a recycling center beside theback door, it is very useful. It is usedto collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. In the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. At the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not sowarm-welcomed. Later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. Gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect theenvironment. All of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.We should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. Finally would you please let me end this speech with a little poem, “Be kind tothe river. Be good to the trees. Smile at the sunshine, and bow to the breeze.
