由于初中生英语单词量和写作水平的限制，中考试题中，主要以直接记人的写作为主，难度较小。
题型旨在考查学生对人物描写的陈述句型的掌握和运用，同时考查学生对一般现在时态，特别是主语是第三人称单数时主谓一致的正确表达。
大多围绕亲情、友情、师生情、榜样力量、人物奋斗等话题展开，或叙事抒怀，或表明个人对人物所持的情感。
此类文章以记叙文居多，也可夹叙夹议。
学生只需认真审题，发生联想，理清思路，就可以轻松应对。
在写人的时候，我们可以通过以下三部分来写作:1. 简单介绍人物的概况。
一般包括姓名、性别、年龄、职业、家庭背景等。
写作时使用的语言必须符合英语表达习惯如姓名的书写、年龄的表达、人称或称呼的法取等。
2. 从多方面对人物进行刻面。
为了使人物的形象丰满起来，给读者留下深刻印象，我们可以对人物的外貌、神态、动作等进行描写，并选取简短的事例来说明其品质和个性。
在具体写作时，要正确把握现在时、过去时和将来时的用法。
3. 对人物进行评价。
在文章结尾处要介绍你对人物的评价或谈论你的个人感受，无论是喜欢还是讨厌，是称赞还是批评，都要明确地表达出来。
【写作注意事项】a. 写人主要从人物外貌、年龄、身份、籍贯、性格、兴趣爱好、特长等方面描述；b. 要注意最好使用不同句式以免句式单一；c. 在描写人的外貌时，常用一般现在时，人称常用第一人称或第三人称；d. 要抓住所描写人物的典型特征。

体裁特点
记叙文就是记载、叙述我们在生活中看到、听到、经历过、接触过的一些人物和事件的文章。
记叙人物和事件，必须掌握四个要素，即时间、地点、人物、事件（起因，发展，结果）。
技巧点拨
写人的记叙文，是通过对人物思想性格的刻画来表现中心思想，也就是说写人要写“魂”。
写人时，首先要确定文章的中心，然后再选择典型时间来写。
一般要注意下面四点：
1.角度要新。
要尽量尝试从新的角度去表现人物。
2.角度小。
角度选择得小一些，小中见大，效果更好。
3.角度要集中。
应设法找到特定的角度，便于突出人物的特点。
4.角度要典型。
高明的画家总是在“一鳞一爪”的描绘中，再现“龙”的风采。
写人的作文也是如此，作者要通过对人物的某角度的典型描写，来反映人物的全貌。
