英语大赛演讲稿1Good morning teachers and fellow students. Today we would like to introduce a few favorite books to you.My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touching stories that happened around Enrico, the mottos taught by his parents, as well as the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class. Every word in the chapter describes the word "love". From patriotism to friendship, and to the love between parents and child -- really touching. This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love.I really like this book very much. How about you? What is your favorite book?My favorite book is . Have you read it before?Oh, I haven t read this book before. What is it about?Well, it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character after the bankruptcy of her father. The story is happy ending. Can you tell us why you love this book so much?Sure. It is because the story taught us to be brave and to face the challenges and difficulties with courage. I am deeply impressed by the strength and perseverance of the little princess in the story. I have decided to learn from her from now on.Oh I see, the story sounds very good. I am honored to participate this final. My name is _X_, and Crystal is my English name. I am from Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department. My major is Environmental Monitoring and Governance Technology. Nowlet me share my college life with you. Before I attend college, I knew nothing about my future, and just because of the ardor for environment, I chose the major I study now. But I told myself: College life is an e_ploring process. Therefore, I stepped the way of e_ploring future. In the early campus life, some teachers told us: As a student, your duty is to study. I nodded. However, the other teachers said: College life is colorful, you should enjoy yourself. “My God! What’s up?” In that period, I was very confused.Later, I did a lot of attempts such as work for the dining room of our school, sold the goods from door to door and played a worker’s roal in a factory on the last summer holiday in Tianjin. Of course,I suffered a variety of setback. But they di dn’t shake my determination ofe_ploring future any more. Now,two years past, the ambiguous future life becomes clear.I realize how to go on my life, though it doesn’t go as my planning way, I know how to adjust myself. College life is an e_ploring process, and through those, I have found my answer. So I really thank my college life, and I believe it will be a pretty e_perience for my life.Thank you for your attention!英语大赛演讲稿4On March 14th, 2018, professor Stephen William Hawking passed away. His contribution to inflationary cosmology has forever shifted our understanding of the universe. He wasn’t just a physicist for England, but for all mankind. His death marks the end of an era. He has passed the baton to a new generation of minds, to a new era. The e_ploration of nature waits for no man. So, are we ready to embrace the new era and newchallenges? When I was a kid, professor Hawking was known to me as the author of A Brief History of Time. I bought a lot of science books back then, but they were really difficult to understand. Whenever I stumbled, I would turn to my physics teacher for help. We would go through pages and pages of materials together, whether it was middle school stuff or Feynman’s lecture from Caltech, sometimes hours on end. I felt like we were tearing off the mask of nature and staring at the face of god. It was his guidance that encouraged me to study physics today. We’re living in an era in which science is embedded in people’s lives. From teachers who pass on knowledge, to construction workers who build labs; from organizations that provide funding, to scientists who conduct research, we all contribute to science in our own unique ways. We the people say we’re ready. On October 5th, 2015, China finally had its first Nobel Prize in na tural science. Ms. Tu Youyou’s work and her receiving the most prestigious science award made us proud. We’re living in an era in which China is building some of the best research projects and institutions worldwide. Just a month ago, Professor Zhang Miman won the UNESCO for Women in Science Award, making her the fifth Chinese recipient of this honor. A week after that, The Economist referred to China as “a continent-sized rapidly growing economy with a culture of scientific inquiry”. Physicist and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Science, Dr. Zhang Jie stated, “China now has the most accurate, sufficient and largest amount of data; China has the highest, fastest and best ability of data analysis. The Chinese government will be strongly pushing for the sharing and utilization of data resources.” We as a country say we’re ready.Science is an immortal topic of mankind. We’ve come this far because we’ve learned to work together and let the ideas evolve. The dispute over the completeness of quantum mechanics, for e_ample, was resolved in the 5th Solvay conference, attended by 29 physicists from 10 different countries who have won 15 Nobel Prizes combined. That was almost 100 years ago. Now we’re living in an era in which information is transmitted at the speed of light, in which “International cooperation” is not just a slogan anymore, especially to the scientific community. Chinese Academy of Science now has 47 partners overseas. The International Council for Science now includes 122 national members, 23 scientific associates and 31 scientific unions. The facilities of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, are available to over 600 universities and institutes around the globe. We, the world, are more than ready. We’re all made of particl es that have e_isted since the beginning of the universe, I’d like to believe those particles traveled through countless eras to create us, so that we, the people, China, and the world, can stand on the shoulders of giants, march into the new era with our head held high, and make people like Professor Hawking proud.英语大赛演讲稿5Good morning everyone, may I have your attention, please?I am glad to be able to give a lecture on this classroom. This once , I want to talk about English. My topic of conversation is that I love English. As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If wecan speak English.well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chines.I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English.I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you!。

由于如馨学习刻苦努力以及在语言方面所取得的进步,学校多次给她颁发证书,比如,“Outstanding Effort in English”, “Working Really Hard on Reading”, “Being Very Quick at Maths” 等等。

吐格鲁克双语演讲稿2018冠军——the world is a chessboard
![吐格鲁克双语演讲稿2018冠军——the world is a chessboard](https://img.taocdn.com/s3/m/2bb67c4df8c75fbfc67db248.png)
吐格鲁克外研社杯2018冠军The world is a chessboard2020.07.19 The world is a chessboard, on which we play a game that was never supposed to be fair but still excites us with its numerous possibilities. When I was 16, my dad recommended that I should sign up for a chess club and learn how to play. So I went, and my level was good enough to play against a bunch of 10 year olds. What’s even more humiliating was that I actually had a hard time playing against them. So reasonably, I became skeptical of the game and thought that it was unfair. You know on the chessboard there’s a king, a queen, rooks(车), bishops(象), knights(马), and pawns(兵), different pieces with different status and importance possessing different capabilities. They stand in their strictly drawn little squares and line up accordingly to their value. And let’s face it. It’s the same in real life. Some of us matter, while some of us don’t, at least not that much. Among the very first lines of “the Declaration Of Independence(独立宣言)”, this one goes: “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.”What a beautiful line, but how can we convince ourselves that we are born equal while our ancestors didn’t die equal? I hate t o say this, but we do inherit most of the social capitals that get to decide what kind of a role we start with when we come to this world. However, the game still gets played for a reason. The board of 64 little squares is magically enough to create a stage for wonderful things to happen. In just the first four moves there are 318 million different ways to play. And in a game between two equal players there will be around 50 moves in total and just think about many moves we take in life time. I’ll say countless. And no one is able to predict what’s going to happen next, which, I think, is the true beauty of our world. And that just paints a silver lining, like a little solider, like you and me. Because with a little but sufficient ability to checkmate and then win the game by planning out my tactics and encountering the coincidences along the way. I may somehow work mu way up until the last rank and become a queen at the end of the game. The world is not fair, but it doesn’t make it any less worthy of livin g. So go play with what you have carefully but boldly[bəʊldli]at the same time to unleash the unknown possibilities of life or change the game.Thank you.。

2018英语演讲比赛演讲稿(4篇) (原文)how to be popularmost people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. what is the secret to popularity? in fact, it is very simple. the first step is to improve our appearance. we should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. when we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. in addition, we should smile and appear friendly. after all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. if we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.another important step is developing more consideration for others. we should always put others first and place their interests before our own. it's also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. however, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their 1 / 34respect. if we can do all of the above, i am sure popularity will come our way.(翻译)如何才能受人欢迎大部分的人都想受人欢迎,但是并非每个人都能达到目标。

If you can dream it, you can do it.——Walt DisneyIt was a long four years. Even after I had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say I hadn’t truly graduated. There had been a mistake and there was just one more class I needed to take. I was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a bad dream. In reality, I had completed every course needed for my degree, and I was a full-fledged college graduate! Now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. Sometimes a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. Often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. You’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!During my senior year of college, I had toyed with the idea of changing my major. At that point, I had finally discoveredwhat captured my heart. But, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. So, I took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. That would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and I just wasn’tready to tackle that. Having completed my B.C. degree, I didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education. So, I did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing I was sure that I didn’t want to do! I detested the office policies, the suits I had to wear and the downtown environment that I had to drive to every day. I knew this was not where I belonged. But god knew what path my career was to follow. A position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so I applied. This was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where I found myself. The position required that I work Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Perfect, I thought! I could keep my office job Monday through Friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. This arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and I was ableto resign from my office job.Over the next few years, I worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. I found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. I would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. Here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that I did——health and fitness. Yet again, god had other plans for my life.Within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. And, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. And, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. One by one we were each laid off. After trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, I knew what I had to do. Go back to school!thanks! 篇二Failure is what often happens.it is everywhere in your life.students may fail in exams, science may fail in their researchwork, and athletes may fail in competitions.although failure happens to everyone, attitudes towards failure are various. some people don't think their failure is avery important thing at all. so they pay no attention to it. as a result, they will have the same failure a previously later.they spend their thime and energy on useless things and they may really be fools as they have thought.Success is not easy to talk about because the word success it-self has hundreds of definitions. For some it means power, for some it means wealth, for others it is fame or great achieve-ments. But I have my own understanding of it.Success means to try your best. Many people believe that success means to win. In my opin-ion, it means to try your best when you do everything, no matter you will win or not. When you are taking part in a long-distance race, if you keep on running as fast as you can, you are successful, although you may be the last to pass the finishing-line. Because you have showed your best to others, and you have made I your greatest effort to be the winner.Success means to work hard.No one can succeed without any hard work. Karl Max was successful, because he spent more than 30 years writing the book "Communist Manifesto"; T omas Edison succeeded, because he had experimented thousands of times to find the best material for lights. Every success calls for hard work. Ifyou want to suc-ceed, work hard first.other people are quite different from the two kinds of people mentiond above. instend of being distressed and lost, they draw a lesson from every failure and become more experienced. after hard work, they will be successful in the end. It is said that failure is the mother of success. success will be gained after times of failures so long as we are good at drawong lesson from our failures.in my opinion , failure is not a bad thing , the really bad thing is taking a failure as failure or even lose our heart after failure.More importantly, today, the world is undergoing fast rhythm of changing, some issues occur in one way this time and reoccur in another way that time.Such instability and inconstancy make many long-time-lasting conventions and traditions not valid any longer. People encounter pile of new conditions everyday in current society, it is hard to find adequate reference from the wisdom of conventions for all of these new thing, what can really lead people to success is rational mind and creative ways of thinking. To meet the requirement of new missions, only creative activities could give out adaptive strategies. Without creative thinking ways, there would no such increasingly development of science and technology in the past two centuries, no new type America-style democracy in the world, no so many products making modern life so comfortable and convenient. 2018英语演讲比赛演讲稿范文2018英语演讲比赛演讲稿范文英语演讲比赛演讲稿Long long ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful young girl. She was very sad. Because her mother had died and her father had married again. His new wife had two ugly daughters, Esmerelda and Griselda Soon after, her father also died and life immediately(立即)changed for the girl.“You will be our servant(仆人), “said her stepmother(继母). “You will do everything we say.“ “You must sleep in the kitchens.“ said the stepsisters. There she had to do hard work from morning until evening, get up before daybreak(黎明), carry water, make the fires, cook, and wash. Besides(除了)this, the sisters did everything imaginable(可以想象)to hurt her. They made fun of her. In the evening when she had worked herself weary(厌倦), there was no bed for her. Instead she had to sleep by the hearth in the ashes(灰). And because she always looked dusty(尘土飞扬)and dirty, they called her Cinderella. “There are cinders(煤渣)all over your clothes!“ exclaimed(喊叫)the stepmother. “ Cinderella. That s your new name. Clear these things away, Cinderella.“ “Cinderella! Cinderella!“ Esmerelda and Griselda said. “Oh, how clever you are, Mama!“ One day, an invitation(邀请)arrived from the palace. “Girls, listen to this,“ said the stepmother. Cinderella was serving(准备)the breakfast. She listened as her stepmother read the invitation. “The King is having a ball,“ she said excitedly(兴奋). “He islooking for a wife for the Prince! Oh, my dears, this is wonderful. He will probably choose one of you, but it will be such a hard choice to make. “Am I invited too, stepmother?“ asked Cinderella. “You! Certainly(当然)not!“ exclaimed(惊呼)her stepmother. “The thought of such a thing. A scruffy servant(破旧的仆人)going to a ball, when only beautiful ladies are invited!“ “Hah! Hah!“ la ughed the stepsisters. “Beautiful! That doesn t include you, Cinderella!“ “You may help my two lovely girls to get rea ady,“ said her stepmother. “Oh,“ said Cinderella “We shall all have new dresses, girls, and we shall go shopping today. Clear away these things, Cinderella.“ Oh, I wish I could go to the ball, thought(认为)Cinderella. The day of the ball arrived and the whole day was spent preparing Esmerelda and Griselda. Cinderella did her best to make the sisters look pretty, but it was an impossible task. Finally, the coach arrived to collect the girls and their mother. Cinderella was very tired and she wandered back to the kitchens. “Oh, I did so want to go,“ she sighed(叹气)as she sat down by the fire. “What s to stop you?“ asked a voice(声音). “Who s that?“ asked Cinderella, looking around. “I m here by the door.“ A strange woman walked up to Cinderella. “I heard you the other day, wishing you could go to the ball. Well, the ball is this evening, and yo u re going.“ “But how?“ asked Cinderella. “What can you do?“ “Anything I want to,“ said the woman. “I m your fairy(仙女)godmother, and I m here to send you to the ball. She sat down. “enow,“ she said. “Dry those tears(擦干眼泪). We have work to do. I need a large pumpkin(南瓜), two mice(老鼠)and a frog. Can you find these?“ “Yes,“ said Cinderella, mystified(迷惑)by the request(请求). “Off you go, then.“ When Cinderella found all the things, her fairy godmother took them all outside. “Now for the magic,“ she said. She waved(挥舞)her hands and the air began to twinkle(闪烁)and sparkle (闪光). The pumpkin began to grow and change, until standing there was a coach. The mice changed into two fine footmen(步兵), the frog into the driver, and the rats(老鼠)into two beautiful horses to pull the coach. Cinderella clapped(拍)her hands. “It s beautiful!“ she cried. “In you get,“ said her fairy godmother. “But I can t go like this,“ said Cinderella. “Like what?“ asked the fairy godmother. “You look lovely to me.“ Cinderella looked at hers elf. While the magic had been working on the pumpkin, it had also been working on her. Instead of her ragged(破烂)dress she wore a beautiful ball gown(晚礼服), with glass slippers (玻璃鞋)on her feet. “Oh, fairy godmother,“ said Cinderella. “It s lovely. How can I thank you?“ “By going to the ball,“ said the fairy godmother. “Off you go, but remember, the magic stops working at midnight(午夜). Everything will change back then. Now go and enjoy yourself.“ “Good-bye, fairy godmother,“ called Cinderella, as the coach swept off. Cinderella arrived at the palace(皇宫)and walked into the ballroom. Everyone stopped and stared(看着). “Who is she?“ peopleasked, including her stepmother and stepsisters. The Prince saw her, and had eyes for no one else for the rest of the evening. Cinderella danced only with the Prince(王子), and as the evening passed, he fell in love with her. A clock chiming(报时)reminded Cinderella of her fairy godmother s warning(警告). It must be eleven o clock, she thought(告知), but she asked the Prince. “What time is it?“ “Almost midnight,“ he answered. “Oh, no!“ cried Cinderella. “I must go!“ “You can t. Not now,“ said the Prince. “I must.“ And Cinderella s。

Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. It’s my great honor to be here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is “The Stones, G roping to Growth”.Before I start my speech, I want to ask you all: have you ever heard the story “Little Horse Crossing the Riv er”? The little horse doesn’t know the depth of the water and does not dare to cross the river. So he asks around, everybody gives him different answers according to their own experience. It makes him even more scared of the river than before. After a long struggle, he finally takes the courage to try it himself, and realizes that the river is neither as shallow as the cow said nor as deep as the little squirrel said.I also experienced a confusing period like the little horse when …. I have always been kee n to experience everything in life, and hence I believe I’m of versatile tastes. This kind of cleverness leads me to think that I can be good at many things. To me, all the things I want to try is like rivers to cross. With just a few steps into the water, I can enjoy all the fun freely, jumping and running in the water; moving forward, the water gets higher, it is still full of fun and excitement; yet when I’m approaching the middle of the river, I find myself surrounded by water, and I can’t see where I c an go. I start to get scared and confused and don't know what to do.Then one day, I saw the words “new media”. It’s j ust like a huge stone holding me up out of the water, so I can have a broader view around. “I can do it,” “I want to do it,” again, I have a determined mind of what I want to do and where I want to go, since I can see that writing would be my footing stone out of the water. these kinds of knowledge I have seen about knowing myself are coming in like water, which let me suddenly realize that my fish bait is writing. But when I realized that only with the core competitiveness of the individual can stand up, I know I don't have it at all. However, having a direction does not mean that my problem has been solved. Although I wrote a lot of articl es, I didn’t dare to submit, for fear that others would refuse me because I didn’t write well enough. I started to doubt myself again. I don't believe in myself and I am not sure if I can do it well. Then again, I found myself lost in the vast water. At this time, the little horse story came into my mind. I told myself: “just do it, what could be the worst?” So, I summed up the lessons of my failure, andimproved my methods step by step. And finally, my first passage was used recently. Actually, on the path of growth, we are all crossing the rivert there are a lot of rivers to cross. Whenever you come across the difficult one, don’t be afraid, don’t turn around, or try to drown yourself in it, just step into it and carefully feel for the stones that can hold you up. W ho is not growing in the groping? That’s the end of my speech, thank you for listening.。

优秀英语比赛演讲稿范文IntroductionGood afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It is my great honor to stand here and deliver this speech.Today, I want to share with you my personal experience and insights on how to improve English speaking proficiency.BodyTo start with, the first step to improving your English speaking proficiency is to immerse yourself in English-speaking environments as much as possible. This means listening to English songs, watching English movies, and speaking only in English with your friends and teachers. Only by constantly hearing and using the language can you improve your pronunciation, accent, and grammar.Secondly, developing a strong vocabulary is also essential to improving your English speaking proficiency. Reading English books and articles will not only help you to learn new words, but also expose you to different sentence structures and writing styles. This can help you to produce more natural-sounding sentences when you speak.Thirdly, practicing speaking is crucial to improving your English speaking proficiency. You can practice by engaging in conversations with native speakers, participating in English-speaking clubs, or even practicing in front of a mirror. By practicing speaking regularly, you can build confidence and reduce anxiety.Lastly, it is important to set goals and track your progress. This can help motivate you and give you a sense of accomplishment when you achieve your goals. For example, you can set a goal to learn a certain number of new English words each week or to speak with a native speaker for a certain amount of time each day.ConclusionIn conclusion, improving English speaking proficiency is not an easy task, but it is achievable through consistent effort and practice. By immersing yourself in English-speaking environments, developing a strong vocabulary, practicing speaking regularly, and setting goals and tracking your progress, you can improve your English speaking proficiency and achieve your desired level of fluency.Thank you for listening.。

英语演讲2018全国英语演讲比赛总决赛之大学组冠军(视频演讲稿)演讲稿:On March 14th, 2018, professor Stephen William Hawking passed away. His contribution to inflationary cosmology has forever shifted our understanding of the universe. He wasn’t just a physicist for England, but for all mankind. His death marks the end of an era. He has passed the baton to a new generation of minds, to a new era. The exploration of nature waits for no man. So, are we ready to embrace the new era and new challenges? On October 5th, 2015, China finally had its first Nobel Prize in natural science. Zhang Ji e stated, “China now has the most accurate, sufficient and largest amount of data; China has the highest, fastest and best ability of data analysis. The Chinese government will be strongly pushing for the sharing and utilization of data resources.” We as a country say we’re ready.Science is an immortal topic of mankind. We’ve come this far because we’ve learned to work together and let the ideas evolve. The dispute over the completeness of quantum mechanics, for example, was resolved in the 5th Solvay conference, attended by 29 physicists from 10 different countries who have won 15 Nobel Prizes combined. That was almost 100 years ago. Now we’re living in an era in which information is transmitted at the speed of light, in which “International cooperation”is not just a slogan anymore, especially to the scientific community. Chinese Academy of Science now has 47 partners overseas. The International Council for Science now includes 122 national members, 23 scientific associates and 31 scientific unions. The facilities of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, are available to over 600 universitiesand institutes around the globe. We, the world, are more than ready. We’re all made of particles that have existed since the beginning of the uni verse, I’d like to believe those particles traveled through countless eras to create us, so that we, the people, China, and the world, can stand on the shoulders of giants, march into the new era with our head held high, and make people like Professor Hawking proud.声明。

2018年英语演讲稿讲话稿范文【三篇】Hello everyone,it is glad to meet you,my name is Nong Yanxing, you can also call me Virita, It’s my English name.I am a Howell School’s girl and I am an outgoing girl too,so I like playing jokes with others.I am fourteen years old and I have learnt English for six years now I’ve loved English since the first time, I’ve heard it from a tape. The voice from the tape was very wonderful and the language was so nice .That time I thought, how wonderful the language is! And if I can speak English as well as the speaker in the tape, that will be amazing! So I asked my mum:“Can I learn English? I really love it!” “Of course you can,but are you sure about it? Can you insist on it?” She was a bit excited. “Of course I can, mum. I loveit very much,I want to learn it. ”I said confidently,“Oh,my good kid,you are very good,I am so excited about you are interested in English. ”She gave me a sweet hug. We laughed together. Then,I’ve started my English learning way.At the beginning,I loved English because it sounds comfortable ,but I can’t believe that how difficult to learn English grammar. Then I felt tired, and I really want to give it up. Buton that main time,my English teacher found me wasa bit strange,“What wrong with you,Virita? You look a bit strange.” “Nothing, I just think English grammar is so difficult. It is boring,I don’t want to learn it anymore!” “Why?You can’t give it up,Virita. I can help you justtrust me.”“Really?” “Of course!” Then she helped me with my English grammar after class everyday. She told me how to find a good way for my own to learn English grammar. How tofind a good way to remember the English new words. She told me try to love English! Interests is the best teacher! So my English marks improve very fast. And in the finally exam,I got the best marks at school. I was so happy .But my English teacher warned me again “Don’t be proud of it. Hasty climbers have the sudden falls. You should come on!”I also like watching Holly Wood movies, for example, The Green Man in the Avengers is very strong and V in V of vendetta is very cool. Most of actors and actresses speak English in the film, and I really want to understand the whole meaning about a film without any caption one day. Itis difficult for me to make it come true. I should work harder.English is a very beautiful language .And itis my friend,a real friend. Although I can’t feel it with my hands, but I can feel it with my heart. English brought me a lot and I have a big dream about English. To make it come true ,I should work harder and learn more Western culture. We’ll love each other more and more. This is the story with English and me.Thanks for listening.篇二Thank you!Chief Justice Rehnquist, President Carter, President Bush,President Clinton, distinguished guests and my fellow citizens, the peaceful transfer of authority is rare in history, yet common in our country. With a simple oath, we affirm old traditions and make new beginnings. As I begin, I thank President Clinton for his service to our nation. And I thank Vice President Gore for a contest conducted with spirit and ended with grace.I am honored and humbled to stand here, where so many of America's leaders have come before me, and so many will follow. We have a place, all of us, in a long story -- a story we continue, but whose end we will not see. It is the story of a new world that became a friend and liberator of the old, a story of a slave-holding society that became a servant of freedom, the story of a power that went into the world to protect but not possess, to defend but not to conquer. It is the American story -- a story of flawed and fallible people, united across the generations by grand and enduring ideals. The grandest of these ideals is an unfolding American promise that everyone belongs, that everyone deserves a chance, that no insignificant person was ever born.Americans are called to enact this promise in our lives and in our laws. And though our nation has sometimes halted, and sometimes delayed, we must follow no other course.Through much of the last century, America's faith in freedom and democracy was a rock in a raging sea. Now it is a seed upon the wind, taking root in many nations. Our democratic faith is more than the creed of our country, it is the inborn hope of our humanity, an ideal we carry butdo not own, a trust we bear and pass along. And even after nearly 225 years, we have a long way yet to travel. While many of our citizens prosper, others doubt the promise, even the justice, of our own country. The ambitions of some Americans are limited by failing schools and hidden prejudice and the circumstances of their birth. And sometimes our differences run so deep, it seems we share a continent, butnot a country. We do not accept this, and we will not allow it. Our unity, our union, is the serious work of leaders and citizens inevery generation. And this is my solemnpledge: I will work to build a single nation of justice and opportunity.I know this is in our reach because we are guided by a power larger than our selves who creates us equal in His image. And we are confident in principles that unite and lead us onward.America has never been united by blood or birth or soil. Weare bound by ideals that move us beyond our backgrounds, lift us above our interests and teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these principles. Every citizen must uphold them. And every immigrant, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American.Today, we affirm a new commitment to live out our nation's promise through civility, courage, compassion and character.America, at its best, matches a commitment to principle with a concern for civility. A civil society demands from each of us good will and respect, fair dealing and forgiveness. Some seem to believe that our politics can afford to be petty because, in a time of peace, the stakes of our debates appear small. But the stakes for America are never small. If our country does not lead the cause of freedom, it will not be led. If we do not turn the hearts of children toward knowledge and character, we will lose their gifts and undermine their idealism. If we permit our economy to drift and decline, the vulnerable will suffer most.We must live up to the calling we share. Civility is not a tactic or a sentiment. It is the determined choice of trust over cynicism, of community over chaos. And this commitment, if we keep it, is a way to shared accomplishment.America, at its best, is also courageous. Our national courage has been clear in times of depression and war, when defending common dangers defined our common good. Now we must choose if the example of our fathers and mothers will inspire us or condemn us. We must show couragein a time of blessing by confronting problems instead of passing them on to future generations.Together, we will reclaim America's schools, before ignorance and apathy claim more young lives. We will reform Social Security and Medicare, sparing our children from struggles we have the power to prevent. And wewill reduce taxes, to recover the momentum of our economy and reward the effort and enterprise of working Americans. We will build our defenses beyond challenge, lest weakness invite challenge. We will confront weapons of mass destruction, so that a new century is spared new horrors. The enemies of liberty and our country should make no mistake: America remains engaged in the world by history and by choice, shaping a balance of power thatf avors freedom. We will defend our allies and our interests. We will show purpose without arrogance. We will meet aggression and bad faith with resolve and strength. And to all nations, we will speak for the values that gave our nation birth.America, at its best, is compassionate. In the quiet of American conscience, we know that deep, persistent poverty is unworthy of our nation's promise. And whatever our views of its cause, we can agree that children at risk are not at fault. Abandonment and abuse are not acts of God, they are failures of love. And the proliferation of prisons, however necessary, is no substitute for hope and order in our souls.Where there is suffering, there is duty. Americans in need are not strangers, they are citizens, not problems, but priorities. And all of us are diminished when any are hopeless.Government has great responsibilities for public safety and public health, for civil rights and common schools. Yet compassion is the work of a nation, not just a government. And some needs and hurts are so deep they will only respond to a mentor's touch or a pastor's prayer. Church and charity, synagogue and mosque lend our communities their humanity, and they will have an honored place in our plans and in our laws. Many in our country do not know the pain of poverty, but we can listen to those who do.And I can pledge our nation to a goal: When we see that wounded traveler onthe road to Jericho, we will not pass to the other side.America, at its best, is a place where personalresponsibility is valued andexpected.Encouraging responsibility is not a search for scapegoats, it is a call to conscience. And though it requires sacrifice, it brings a deeper fulfillment. We find the fullness of life not only in options, but in commitments. And we find thatchildren and community are the commitments that set us free. Our public interest depends on private character, on civic duty and family bonds and basic fairness, on uncounted, unhonored acts of decency which give direction to our freedom.Sometimes in life we are called to do great things. But as a saint of our times has said, every day we are called to dosmall things with great love. The most important tasks of a democracy are done by everyone.I will live and lead by these principles: to advance my convictions with civility, to pursue the public interest with courage, to speak for greater justice and compassion, to call for responsibility and try to live it as well.In all these ways, I will bring the values of our history to the care of ourtimes. What you do is as important as anything government does. I ask you to seek a common good beyond your comfort; to defend needed reforms against easy attacks; to serve your nation, beginning with your neighbor. I ask you to be citizens:citizens, not spectators; citizens, not subjects; responsible citizens, building communities of service and a nation of character.Americans are generous and strong and decent, not because we believe in ourselves, but because we hold beliefs beyond ourselves. When this spirit of citizenship is missing, no government program can replace it. When this spirit is present, no wrong can stand against it.After the Declaration of Independence was signed, Virginia statesman John Page wrote to Thomas Jefferson: We know the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Do you not think an angel rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm?Much time has passed since Jefferson arrived for his inauguration. The yearsand changes accumulate. But the themes of this day he would know: our nation's grand story of courage and its simple dream of dignity. We are not this story's author, who fills time and eternity with his purpose. Yet his purpose is achieved in our duty, and our duty is fulfilled in service to one another.Never tiring, never yielding, never finishing, we renew that purpose today, to make our country more just and generous, to affirm the dignity of our lives and every life. This work continues. This story goes on. And an angel still rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm.God bless you all, and God bless America.篇三As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance tosucceed.Because more and more people have taken notice ofit, the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speakEnglish, I can feel the confident from my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you!亲爱的老师,同学们:我很高兴可以在这个课堂上做一次演讲。

Weeks age he came and ask me to raise a topic for his mid-term composition test. I was curious why he chose me, because he is a teacher himself. My friend said that he wanted something that the students can really show their different ideas. Without thinking, I asked him to let his students to write about what they would do if they were given one million U.S. dollars, my friend left with satisfaction and I fell into my old memories.( tell a story related to his core problem of speech that he will discussed next)It reminded me of my time in primary school. (the transfer from the story above to personal experience)In our Chinese class, our teacher required us to write a composition with the topic “my most unforgettable day” with our real experience. When papers came back, half of the students wrote about the first day they came to school. The rest were all about picking up money on the streets and giving it to policemen or helping a blind man cross the street. Of course; I was among them.(a sense of humor ) But I remember every clearly that one student, only one student gave something different. He wrote about the day that he first kiss a girl. I read his composition. After all these years, I can’t remember every word, but I dare to say that Shakespeare may not be able to write equally well when he was 11 years old.(adapt hyperbole here, compare the child with Shakespeare, interesting and inspire audience’s mood) But the kid was scored zero. The composition was written out of real experience and genuine emotion. But our teacher thought the content was “unhealthy”. I am sure you know the Chinglish meaning of this word “unhealthy”. That was 15 years ago. You read abo ut this composition and you feel that half of our population are blind, so all these kids can have a chance to help a blind man cross the street and everyone of us has a hole in our pocket, so all these kids have a chance topick up lost money and give it the policemen. (Filled with humor as well as worries)A few days ago, my friend sent me an e-mail of all the copies of his students’ compositions. I have to say, I was sadly disillusioned. Among these papers, 40% students said that they would donate their money to people in poverty, so their children can have a chance to go to school. The rest were much more like. Some wanted to support Panda Protection Project and some wanted to read books to enlarge their knowledge. One student even said that he would like to spend his one million U.S. dollars on the effort to cure AIDS. I was more than astonished to know that a ten-year-old child knew what AIDS really is. Of course, that was a long time ago. (Funny but arise people’s worries about Chinese education and c hildren’s future)It has always been our dream to open the hearts of our children. I encourage them to describe their dream and we act in the way as if we are always ready to accept their thoughts. However, children are scared by the zero marked on their papers. They are trained to say what we want to hear.(show personal worries and care about next generation-our nation’s future) People compare children to flowersof tomorrow. And parents do dream about the scenery that roses, tulips, daffodils flourish in the future. But down the road we are going on in the future, or the future of future, only one kind of flower can be found. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.
