英语听说考试满分15分，占英语科总分（100分）的15%。
2011年的深圳中考同样将英语科听力和口语考试合并成听说考试，考试于5月21-22日进行（继续采用“人机对话”方式），英语听说考试占英语科总分满分（100分）的15%，即15分。
目前中考用广播系统进行的英语听力测试，对录音磁带、播放设备、考场周边环境的要求比较高，偶发因素影响较多。
从2005年开始，深圳中考采用计算机“人机对话”进行英语口语考试，可靠性强，客观公平，取得了很好效果。
