Maybe you don’t know the state Louisiana, but I sure you will know the city New Orleans. New Orleans is the big city in Louisiana. Today, I want to introduce Louisiana to you. Louisiana is a state located in the southern region of the United States. Louisiana is bordered to the west by Texas; to the north by Arkansas; to the east by the state of Mississippi; and to the south by the Gulf of Mexico.①Louisiana is the 31 th most extensive and the 25 th most populous of the 50 united states. The state flower is Southern Magnolia, the state bird of Louisiana is Eastern Brown Pelican and the state tress is Cypress. ②This is the flag and the state seal of Louisiana.③Its capital is Baton Rouge④and the largest city New Orleans.⑤Louisiana has a humid subtropical climate. It has long, hot, humid summer and short, mild winters. Some Louisiana urban environments have a multicultural, multilingual heritage, being so strongly influenced by a mixture of 18th-century French, Spanish, Native American, and African cultures that they are considered to be somewhat exceptional in the US. Before the American purchase of the territory in 1803, the current Louisiana State had been both a Spanish and French colony. Tourism and culture are major players in Louisiana's economy, earning an estimated $5.2 billion per year.
