FICE-100/FOIL-200 radar uses raw radar video from navigation radar to make ICE/Oil radar image on FICE-100/FOIL-200 screen. Each navigation radar has a bit different video level in output for FICE-100/FOIL-200. To adopt for different video level you can adjust video level offset and ADC gain (signal amplifier).Below is typical video signal received from FAR-2xx7 or FAR-3000.Below is example of incorrect video level offset:Photos above: Video level is much too high. Near area is not readable at all. You can see it alsoin scope display.Sweep 0-11 000 m:This graph is to indicate how video is shown up to 11 000 meters.Photos above: Video level offset is adjusted. You can see in scope display that video is readable during antenna sweep in whole range.5.2 How to activate radar video adjustment modeYou can activate FICE-100/FOIL-200 video adjustment mode:5.3 How to adjust video level offsetAdjustment range of Video Offset:ScanStreamer DNP2012003: -1.00 - 1.00ScanStreamer DNP2016001: 0 - 255To adjust video level offset: Before video level adjustment:After adjustment:5.4 How to adjust ADC gainAdjustment range of ADC Gain:ScanStreamer DNP2012003: 0 - 6ScanStreamer DNP2016001: 0 - 255Before gain adjustment:To adjust video level: After adjustment:5.5How to adjust Trigger delayYou may need to adjust trigger delay on FICE-100/FOIL-200. This is very much depending on cable length between navigation radar and ScanStreamer. Measure distance of echo on Navigation radar. Measure the same echo on FICE-100/FOIL-200, if there is difference in distance you can use Trigger delay to adjust echoes on FICE-100/FOIL-200 display.5.6 How to quit radar video adjustment modeTo quit radar video adjustmentmode:6. PERFORMANCE TEST FOR NAVIGATION RADAR6.1 FAR-2xx7FAR-2xx7 is used as normal navigation radar. To verify performance of radar, see installation manual of FAR-2xx7. Following should be proceeded:• “Tune initialize”• Check TX time of magnetron• Use “Performance monitor” to check gain. Performance monitor is an option. If not available, check TX time of magnetron. Replace magnetron if TX time is more than 5000 hours.6.2 FAR-3000Automatic tuning is initialized during the installation. However, if you feel that automatic tuning is not working properly try re-initializing the tuning. Right-click the [TUNE] button then select [Tune Initialize] to start the initialization. These areas also act as suppression areas, avoiding unnecessary overloading to the processorand clutter on the screen by disabling acquisitionand tracking. The operator can acquire importanttargets without restriction outside of these areas bymanual acquisition. Manually acquired targetsappear as heavy symbols to discriminate them fromthe automatically acquired ones. Targets, whichenter guard zones, change their tracking symbolsfrom a circle to an inverse triangle. A target appearsas a triangle when its predicted motion violates theoperator set CPA and TCPA. The operator canreadily change the vector lengths to evaluate thetarget movement trend.ARPADAY AND NIGHT VIEWThe target trails feature generates monotone or gradual shading afterglow on all objects on the display. The shading afterglow paints the display just like on an analog PPI for general use, whereas the monotone trails are useful to show own ship movement and other ship tracks in a specific fishing operation. Pressing the Echo Trails key changes the length of afterglow from 30 s, 1, 3, 6, 15, 30 min to continuous. The target trails are indicated in a different color from the target echoes. The unique feature in this radar/ARPA is a choice of True or Relative mode in Relative Motion (only True in TM).The trial maneuver is a collision avoidance simulation used to predict collisions by changing the course and speed of own ship. The simulation is available in dynamic or static modes. The dynamic mode presents target ship movement at one-minute intervals and the static mode displays the final situation immediately. In either case, a delay option to start the simulation may be selected depending on the ship's dynamic characteristics. Actual target data can always be monitored during the trial maneuver by observing the target data cells. The VideoPlotter RP-25 has a basic function asRadar Map and Navlines and extended function as aChart Display. The Chart Display mode is subject to authorities. Thechart appears in a different color from the radarechoes and is distinguishable from all radar relatedobjects and markings. The radar range settingdetermines the chart area.TRIAL MANEUVERThe VideoPlotter RP-25 (built-in board) facilitates the operator toproduce radar maps and navlines while maintaining the radarobservation, as required by the new IMO performance standards.A map is a combination of map lines and symbols to aid route planningand monitoring on the radar equipment. The data is stored on thestandard memory on the RP-25 board in 1,500 points of capacity forrepeated use. The RP-25 also permits use of two IC cards; Memorycard (SRAM IC) stores 6,000 points of own ship and other referencelocations, and the Chart card (ROM IC) carries electronic charts, fromofficial or private source, in an ample capacity. One type of officialelectronic charts is ERC (Electronic Reference Charts) available fromthe Japanese Hydrographic Bureau.TARGET TRAILS CHART OVERLAY RADAR MAPchartsAntenna Radiators1. The PP-510 is a serial dot matrix impactprinter; all incoming and outgoing telex messages areautomatically printed.Printer PP-510The dedicated distress alert units for telephone and telex operation, respectively, are used toinitiate distress calls from where the ship is normally navigated, and other designated positions. They fully meet the relevant standards to protect against false alert transmission.Telex Distress Alert Button IB-352Telephone Distress Alert Button IB-362Dedicated Distress Alert UnitsReceived call IndicatorIB-372FELCOM 82BFELCOM 82AMonitor Display IB-582Antenna Unit IB-182Communication Unit IB-282Telex Distress Alert Button IB-352Telephone Distress Button IB-362Printer PP-510IEC 61162115/230 VAC3 m 5 m3mReceived Call Indicator IB-3729600 bps64 kbpsHeading DeviceEPFS(GPS, Loran-C)OptionalDGPS correction 115/230 VAC2 m2 mFAXTelephonePrinter PP-510TelephoneTelephone30 m (Standard)100 m maxHandset IB-882Junction Box IB-313PC IBM PC/ATGPS navigator Stepdown Transformer FIT-100RouterHDTPC IBM PC/AT3 mAntenna Unit IB-182The radome contains a helix radiator with a 1 m parabolic reflector. Antennastabilization is achieved by using the three-axis active method as well as employing a quick response vertical gyroscope. This mechanism allows the antenna to keep pointing to an appropriate satellite during ship's movement and course changes. Connection between theelectronic circuits on the turning section with the parabola and those on the fixed pedestal in the radome is made by an improved rotary joint. This arrangement eliminates antenna rewind, thereby ensuring uninterrupted communications during a course change of the vessel.Maximum attention is paid to the design of the antenna stabilizing mechanism and the supporting post. Furuno MODEL 1832 4 kW 小型雷达系统说明 说明书
The FURUNO MODEL 1832 is a revolutionary new 4 kW compact radar designed for small fishing boats and pleasure craft. Radar images are painted in 8 gradations of green on the 10-inch CRT.The MODEL 1832 has a variety of standard features usually found in commercial radars like dual EBLs and EVRMs, Echo Trails, Guard Zone Alarm*, Off-center and Watch Mode. Automatic control of receiver tuning and anti-clutter ensures optimum performance and target detection allowing simple radar operation. The Guard Zone Alarm* generates audio and visual alarms when a target comes within a user-defined area. This alarm system can also be switched to the Anchor Watch Mode where an alarm is generated when a target leaves the area. The Economy Mode feature reduces power consumption during stand-by.When connected with appropriate nav sensors outputting data in NMEA 0183 format, the MODEL 1832 can display the following information:ship's position in L/L or Loran-C TDs, cursor position readout in L/L, ship's speed, course and range/bearing to the targeted waypoint, XTE, EBL readout in true bearing and a Lollipop waypoint mark. In addition, you can select North-up, Course-up and T rue Motion presentations as well as Head-up. The cursor position target data (TLL) and radar system data (RSD) can be outputted in NMEA 0183 format to a compatible video plotter or computer. Tracked target data (TTM) can also be outputted.Trackedtarget10-INCH DAYLIGHT RADAR 8-gradation super clear picture, Easy operation by programmable function keysModel1832q 4 kW output, 36 nm rangeq Rugged die-cast, waterproofhousingq 3 NMEA 0183 ports(2 inputs and 1 output)q New reduced-windagecompact radomeq User-programmable function keysq Automatic optimization of radarpictureq Newly enhanced short rangeperformanceq Cursor position and radar systemdata output(TTM target data with ARP-10)q Head-up, Course-up, North-up andTrue Motionq Economy Mode, Guard ZoneAlarm* and Watch Modeq New optional Autoplotter ARP-10(10 targets auto/manualacquisition and auto tracking)*US patent No.5,032,842Optional Autoplotter ARP-10acquires 5 targets automatically plus5 targets manually, or 10 targetsmanually. 最初,雷达会沿用先前使用的量程和脉冲长度。
而其它设置(例如亮度水平、VRM、EBL 和菜单选项的选择)也会使用先前的设置。
[STBY/TX] 键(或 TX STBY 方框)在雷达的 STBY(待机)和 TRANSMIT(发射)状态之间来回切换。
