下面我们看几个实例:br [同义词、近义词的区别] br It's hot out on the beach. Let's sit in the……br (A) shadow (B) shade (C)dark (D) darkness br 这是99年综合C级中的一道题。

”br Let's sit in the shadow br

This was pretty much what I had expected.Andy is unromantic guy: no sweet words or roses. Smart as he is, he is a little bit shy expressing his love. In contrast, I am an outspoken girl who likes to show her feelings directly. So needless to say, I often feel that is insensitive. I envy other girls who are surrounded by sweet words.I was in this sullen mood until I heard a beautiful sentence one day: “someone does not love you in the way you like, it does not mean that he does not love you.” This simple but sensible sentence made me think about our happy days an d recall his deep concern for me.One cold winter night, I got a high fever. He hurried to my dorm and took me to the hospital. He was in such a hurry that he even forgot to wear socks. After arrival, he ran through the hospital handling all the formalities. Gradually, I felt asleep. When I woke up 15 minutes later, he was still mumbling to me. He explained that if he had stopped talking I would have woke up. At that moment, I found love in his sparkling eyes.Another time, I had a bad quarrel with my best friend. Although I knew it was my fault, I refused to admit it. I was angry when he insisted I apologize to her. He said that it was difficult to admit a mistake, but this was what everyone should do. A Strange FlightWe were late as usual. My husband had insisted on watering the flowers in the garden by himself, and when he discovered that he couldn't manage,he asked me for help at the last moment. So now we had an hour to get to the airport. Luckily, there were not many cars or buses on the road and we were able to getthere just in time. We checked in and went straight to a big hall to wait for flight to be called. We waited and waited, but no announcement was made. We asked for information and the girl there told us that the plane hadn't even arrived yet. In the end, there was another announcement telling us that passengers waiting for Flight LJ108 could get a free meal voucher (凭单) and that the plane hadn't left Spain for technical problems. We thought that meant that if wasn't safe for the plane to fly. We waited again for a long time until late evening when we were asked to report again. This time we were given vouchers to spendthe night in a nearby hotel. The next morning after a bad night because of all the planes taking off and landing,we were reported back to the airport. For greasy (油性)hair, especially if the owner lives in a town,it may be necessary to wash the head every four to five days. Those with a dry hair can usually go a little longer, but this is a matter for the individual to decide. If a woman is not able to go to hairdresser very often,it is important that she chooses a style she can easily manage for herself, and this nearly always means that the first cut must be very standard. The same applies to permanent (永久)waving. I delay, this should be carried out three or four times a year,so that the hair never gets out of hand. One thing would be remembered though, that is,whatever you apply to the head can have some effect upon the skin and therefore anything strong should be used with care. Or you may use milder products. As for style, this must be studied according to what is the latest fashion and also to suit theindividual at different times of her life.Young people who has spots or skin troubles on their face, should take particular care to ensure that the hair is both clean and does not come into contact with the affected piece of skin. Hair is very difficult to keep completely clean and therefore anyone running their hands through their hair and afterwards touching their face,or letting their hair fall over their faces, might spread infection from one place to another. Good hair does a lot to the effect of a face,so if you want to look charming, please start with your hair.6. According to the text, the most basic thing to do in hair care isA to go to hairdressers very oftenB to choose milder products for the hair.C to wash and brush the hair regularly.D to keep the hair away from the skin trouble7. Which of the following is not a feature of perfect competition according to the passage?A The firms involved are small compared to the size of the industry.B The firms involved produce goods of the same kind .C The size of the industry is ususlly very samll.D The price of the products is deterimned by the market.17. The rocks in which it is found are almost always of ocean origin and the prtroleum-forming organisms must have been ocean creatures rather than trees.

职称英语卫⽣AB类环球校精讲班课程:阅读理解(1)短⽂1:Need for Emphasis on TreatmentAIDS programs in developing countries put too little emphasis on treatment, the World Health Organization said Tuesday, asking for more small community-based clinics to be opened to treat HIV-infected people. An estimated 36 million people are living with AIDS, two-thirds of them in Africa, but only 440,000 people in developing countries were receiving treatment by the end of 2003, the UN health agency said in its annual report.“Without treatment, all of them will die a premature and in most cases painful death,” the WHO said in the 169-page World Health Report.WHO Director General Lee Jong-wook said community-based treatment should be added to disease prevention and care for sufferers in AIDS programs.“Future generations will judge our time in large part by our response to the AIDS disease,” Lee said.“By tackling it decisively we will also be building health systems that can meet the health needs of today and tomorrow. This is a historic opportunity we cannot afford to miss,” he added.Antiretroviral drugs enable people hit by AIDS to live longer. The annual cost of treatment, which was about $ 10,000 when the drugs were first developed, has dropped to about $ 150.Treatment programs also help AIDS prevention efforts, the report said, citing great demands for testing and counseling where treatment has been made available.Good counseling in turn leads to more effective prevention in those who are uninfected, and significantly reduces the potential for HIV carriers to pass on the infection, the report said.Since its discovery in the 1980s, more than 20 million have died of AIDS, mostly in poor countries.1.

I 'm afraid that your daughter has failed to get_____her mid-term exams.A: by B: over C: through D: out在上面这道题中,I’m afraid that your daughter has failedto get_____her mid-term exams叫做题干。

get out: 跑出去;传出去。
I wonder what your aim in life is.Attitude B: symbol C: goal D: action

短文第一段的最后一句“HE was know as the hero of a hundred adventures."(他是一位英雄,有上百次的冒险经历.)

请看大纲第14页的“Television in the USA"。

36.The conclusion made by some fordigners that America has a television culture is not f__.
