学情分析授课班级为我校五年级学生。

经过二年多的英语学习,学生已有一定的英语基础,能听懂教师的课堂用语,能简单的描述图片内容,能看图片完成听力,能交流简单的个人信息,表达简单的情感和感觉;具备小组讨论交流的能力。

但学生英语语言组织能力还有待进一步提高,缺乏综合运用语言谈论所学话题的能力,需在教师的引领下突破这一难点。

就本课而言,学生已经学过一些有关各科教师称呼的词汇,如art teacher, science teacher, English teacher, math teacher, Chinese teacher 等.关于人物的描述:He’s…, She’s … ,学生并不陌生,但需要在教师的引导下,在新的话题情景中复现、巩固和运用。

教学目标1.能听懂会说:Who’s your math teacher? Mr Zhao. What’s he like? He is thin and short. He’s very kind.2.能听懂Let’s try部分的录音内容,完成正确选择图片的练习。

、教学重点和难点1.重点是Who’s your math teacher? Mr Zhao. What’s he like? He is thin and short. He’s very kind.2. Let’s try部分在学生用书中第一次出现,但难度不大。

学生即使不能听懂句子含义,只要明白关键词语的意思也能找到正确答案。

教学方法建议一.词汇教学(Let’s learn)Let’s learn部分的词汇是围绕话题归类出现的。

与前四册不同的是,从五年级上册开始,Let’s learn中的部分或全部词汇要求学生做到听说读写四掌握。

教法注意点1、注意词汇的呈现方式2、利用Let’s start 部分引入新词。

Let’s start既可以复习三四年级的已学过的单词和句型,还可以在与学生的交流中自然引入新单词,让学生在理解词义的基础上朗读、拼读新词。

3、在交际中教学单词。

教师应力求在语言交流中教单词,用旧词联系新的语言,融会语言和词汇的教学。

不要为了教单词而教单词,也不要让学生死记,要把它放到具体的对话(句子)中学习。

4、充分发挥单词卡片的作用。

二.对话教学(Let’s talk Pair work Group work)本册教材浓缩了原有的情景会话,更突出了目标句型。

为给学生提供灵活运用语言的机会,这部分还提供可供替换的内容。

为此,教师应做相应的调整。

1、在听力活动中感知新的语言(Let’s try)。

在原来Let’s talk一页设计了新板块Let’s try,这个听力练习用来帮助学生进一步熟悉Let’s learn部分的学过的新词,并在进入Let’s talk新句型的学习之前先从听觉上感知新语言,方便了教师针对目标语言从听说读写四方面循序渐进达到教学目标。

如学生听不懂,可反复播放录音,学生通过听音看图理解关键词判断出正确答案。

2、在理解语言的基础上学说语言1)抓住主句型,替换关键词操练主句型。

如在第四单元A部分的主句型为:Can you……..?Yes, I can. No , I can’t .教师可引导学生替换动词单词,突出重点地操练语言。

依然需要为学生创设真实的语言环境,让学生在自然的交流中逐步掌握主句型,为Read and write打好基础。

2)教师应面向全体,尤其是接受能力差的学生。

3)教师要充分使用各种手段,使学生在真实的交际环境中巩固、掌握新语言。

三、阅读理解教学(Read and write )这部分的教学目标是:读懂对话或短文;完成检测学生理解程度的填充句子练习;听说读写四会掌握一组句子;完成一项综合运用语言的任务型语言活动。

这部分的注意点:1、不应象Let’s talk中那样教,应降低要求,并不作要求全部会认读;2、write部分照样子“抄”并不是“写”,应该让学生自己扩展,运用到现实中去;3、可以表扬加鼓励写的好的同学可以少“写”;4、要从开始就培养学生良好的书写习惯。

这部分的教学建议:1.学生阅读对话,可以同桌或小组合作的形式进行。

(约5分钟)2.教师解惑答疑、设计问题以考察理解程度,并引导学生完成填充句子的练习。

(约5-10分钟)3.学生全体参与任务型活动,实际运用所学语言。

(约10-15分钟)4.课堂完成活动手册。

(约5-10分钟)四、语音训练(Pronunciation)这一册Part C中Pronunciation很重要,不能省略。

教师在教学过程中不要直接告诉学生这些字母组合的发音,而是要启发他们通过仔细听录音和观察单词的结构来发现读音规则。

在学生掌握后,鼓励他们尝试认读一些未曾学过但符合发音规律的新词,从而增加学生学习语音的成就感,培养他们自主学习的能力。
