第三单元交通运输第一部分交通设施通过对公路、铁路及大多数国家还有港口的建设和拥有，政府在交通运输扮演着重要的角色。

本文要指出的是在国民经济中交通运输业能提供大量的劳动岗位。
（交通）固定设施的建设和更新需要大量的资金，（固定设施）通常寿命较长，技术的提高很少且较慢。

而且，移动设备的成本一般都相对较低。
船舶的成本看上去是很高，但是与建设一个港口或铁路的成本相比，一条船的成本还是低的。
